As a Korean, I recommend not going to Myeong-dong. It is a shop where most of the merchants sell expensive products to tourists.😅😅
Shutbup 😂😂😂😂
그러니까 외국분들 왜 자꾸 명동으로 가는지 모르겠어요 ㅠㅠ 옛날에는 좋았겠으나 지금은.....영...
Really agree with the above comment. Myeongdong is definitely one of the worst places to go as far as prices/variety/quality are concerned. There are so many better places out there. Go to where local Koreans go, not other tourists!
where should we go instead?
@angel n. I recommend a place with foreign tourists as one of the best places I've ever been to. I don't travel often, so I think there are many other good places. So I don't want you to just use what I said as a standard.
Yeonnam-dong, Hapjeong-dong, and Sangsu-dong (There are two famous universities in Korea, so there are many restaurants and cafes with good quality and taste, and you can enjoy good service)
Jeju Island (the largest island in Korea and Jeju Island has a beautiful natural environment. Food is not cheap. However, if you want to go on a trip and play at a high price, I recommend you to travel while looking at the beautiful scenery.)
Gyeongbokgung Palace (This is the palace where the old tradition of Korea lives and is an ancient palace. Admission is free if you wear Hanbok, a traditional Korean costume. I recommend you to make memories while taking pictures in traditional costumes at the palace. Around Gyeongbokgung Palace, you can see both ancient palaces and modern technology buildings at the same time. The price of food is normal around. The taste of the food was so so.)
Itaewon (You can experience food from various countries in Korea. At least we don't sell it to tourists, we just have expensive food.)
Seoul Forest (This place is recommended for Korean music nerds. The nearby forest is beautiful, and the meal price is ordinary but delicious)
Gwangju Metropolitan City (the first unified Silla Palace in Korea is traditional, and this is the hometown of BTS J-Hope as a celebrity. And this is also the place of the retreat for Korean middle school students. I went there at that time.)
Jeonju, Jeollanam-do (Food prices are not cheap here either, but it is beautiful to coexist with nature because the palace is large and spacious. Many people go to Hanok experience. However, there are people here who only sell to foreigners at a high price, so please be careful. I recommend this place because it is more beautiful than Myeongdong.)
@@dontgranme 님도 가본 곳 중 좋은곳 외국인들에게 추천해주세요. 전 사는 곳에서 멀리 나가본적이 많이 없어서요....
Native Korean here. Usually Koreans don't hang out at Myeongdong. Everything is overpriced, and the food ain't worth the money. I personally recommend Sungsoo(성수)or Mapo(마포) to my foreign friends😂
Can you share where would Koreans go instead? Which part in Sungsoo or Mapo is worth visiting?
@@RogueLawyer666. seongsu(성수)
seongsu is the area full of nice restaurants, bars and cafes. so if you visit any restaurant, you wont get failed at least. however, there are so many people that you have to wait at least 1hour to have dinner especially on friday and weekends.
2. seoul forest(서울숲)
near seongsu. just one stop by subway. compared to seongsu, seoul forest is less crowded. the atmosphere is quite similar to seongsu, but i personally prefer visiting seoul forest in lunchtime since there is a nice park.
3. mapo(마포) (and gongdeok(공덕), one stop by subway, 15min by walk)
Since mapo and gongdeok is kinda business area, you might see koreans enjoying dinner with their colleagues after work.
gongdeok and mapo is famous for jokbal(족발, pig's feet) and jeon(전, korean pancake). you can try makgeoli(막걸리, korean rice wine) with jeon.
4.gwangjang market(광장시장)
located in jong-ro, full of street food. It is famous among both tourists and locals. i recommend nok-du-jeon (녹두전,mungbean pancake) and yuk-hoe(육회, raw beef tartare).
5. yeoinaru (여의나루)
right beside HAN river. Actually there are several riverside parks in seoul, this is THE picnic place. You can cook instant noodle, since every convinient store has a cooking machine. noodle and beer must be perfect combo under the night sky. you sometimes can see people singing or dancing, and also a lot of cute dogs❤
+) there's a tiny cruise too
@@letmego756cute dogs won me over/sold me. ❤️
question; you spelled it sungsoo but the korean says seongsu, why do you write in english sungsoo? just a question im curious
@@natasha_lorenskyit's the romanized spelling so there are a few variations based on personal preference. Seongsu is more accurate but both ways are spelled the same in korean (성수).
I love South Korea so much I recommend going to Myeongdong-dong❤maybe most of the shops items are expensive but I cant say no to the street food but in Olive young I recommend getting more cheaper stuff and the Glass tint lipgloss in Olive young is amazing to use I bought 10 of them but most of the things is overpriced and expensive I also love the sky park hotel near the food shops which is the “Hotel Skypark Central”when I go there it’s amazing the service is good😊
As a korean Myeongdong is overrated as everything is catered to tourists so the food is below average and a little pricier
I love this video. Makes me want to comeback to Korea.
This is my food heaven omg...
The grasses include the "grass" of the family Poaceae. This family is also called Gramineae. The family also include some of the sedges (Cyperaceae) and the rushes (Juncaceae).[1] These three families are not closely related but all of them belong to clades in the order Poales. They are similar adaptations to a common life-style.
The true grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland. Uses for graminoids include food (as grain, sprouted grain, shoots or rhizomes), drink (beer, whisky), pasture for livestock, thatching thatch, paper, fuel, clothing, insulation, construction, sports turf, basket weaving and many others.
Many grasses are short, but some grasses can grow very tall, such as Bamboo. Plants from the grass family can grow in many places and make grasslands, including areas which are very arid or cold. There are several other plants that look similar to grass and are referred to as such, but are not members of the grass family. These plants include rushes, reeds, papyrus and water chestnut. Seagrass is a monocot in the order Alismatales.
Grasses are an important food for many animals, such as deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass they usually do not destroy the part that grows.[2] This is a part of why the plants are successful. Without grass, soil may wash away into rivers (erosion). The grasses include the "grass" of the family Poaceae. This family is also called Gramineae. Everything looks so freaking amazing 😻
This video was saved for when I travel there 😂
Not my stomach grumbling the entire time 😭
inquiry: which brand of glasses frames? very cool !
First time I have seen scallops, and are huge and so delectable looking.
The price of street food in Myeongdong is ridiculously high. Never buy it. With that money, go to a nearby department store or restaurant and eat delicious food comfortably
Looked so gorgeous

Anneong ☺️,I wanna try them all 😋✌️✨

I’m interested to know what that fish cake tastes like
싱겁고 식감은 말린 두부를 먹는것과 비슷하다.
담백한 매력으로 먹는 식재료이다.
사실 일본의 오뎅과 똑같은 음식이기 때문에 일본 식료품점에서 사 드시면 됩니다.
Tteokbokki 🎉

It's KIMBAP, dumdum
no DUMDUM it can be both kimbap and gimbap they are the same thing just different pronunciations because the consonants in korean can be pronounced both ways. and do your research before commenting something rude next time
@Sugar and Spice EEHHHH! WRRRONG!! it's *actually* kimbap. That's the only way. Maybe next time get your facts straight
search it up honey, maybe check your facts too :)
gimbap and kimbap have the same meaning and in korean same consonants , you can use either honey:)
@Sugar and Spice uhhhhh sorry, no you can't, honey :)
Don't understand how a filipino made in the philippines could sound so american. I am shocked. Does it make you feel like you're better than everyone else?
He's not even Filipino or American 💀💀💀 He was born in Canada, and his family is from Indonesia. How about you do your research before you start acting like you're better than everyone else? Omg. So embarrassing...
wtf that’s a weird thing to say to someone
If you want to be ripped off, go visit Myeongdong.
