Disclaimer: This is my experience with the Ontario bar exam--I can't speak to the bar exams in other provinces or countries. I also can't guarantee that my tips will help you--this is just what worked for me. All the opinions expressed in this video are my own.
I’m from Ontario starting my first year at law school and you’re god sent thankyou🙏🏽 😭❤️❤️
Somehow your video are always uploaded when I’m doubting myself. You are my inspiration and motivation 😊
Congrats!
Totally agree with what you said about highlighting. Did that in one material but didn't get the idea of it, or why I was doing it. It didn't maximize the amount of info digested or accumulated through my studies. 😅
Awesome to see you back again!! I hope you can make a vlog on how you days are going these days!
You have no idea how good this is making me feel after I had a sobbing ugly cry breadown 20 mins ago.Thank you, made me feel less alone
Not writing the bar anytime soon, but happy that this exists. Your videos are fantastic, thanks for making them
Preparing for the Ontario Bar Exam right now, although circumstances are a bit different due to Covid. But I really appreciate your tips!
I don't even have to take a bar exam (I still don't really know why we don't have them in the Netherlands) but you still interest me for 25 min talking about it. Your tips are very well put together and honest, and are also helpful for any other major exam really.
Sidenote: you really are a law student when you start your video with a disclaimer, that made me giggle a bit :)
I wrote the Paralegal Licensing Exam (Ontario) and it was the exact same experience (except we only have the one exam - not two). It was a 7 hour day with TONS of ethics/professionalism questions - SO DEFINITELY KNOW YOUR RULES AND BY LAWS!!. Definitely spent the most time memorizing the structure of my materials - being able to flip to the exact section with ease. I put my materials into 2 large binders (I would recommend what Lynnea did and cerlox bind by subject). Another thing I did was use post it flags with handwritten labels on them (because I was cheap and did not want to buy dividers lol and I alreadty had these flags from school) but it worked great - because since I had written them out by hand I retained the muscle memory of what I had flagged). And it was very aesthetically pleasing for me because I had colour coded them by area of law. **IMPORTANT NOTE** The exam isn't random. It goes section by section. The only thing "random" would be the ethics/rules based questions. But otherwise you will have a limited number of questions per area of law. Which was great because I knew that in the second part I would not get a question on the areas that were covered in the first part. It is exhausting like Lynnea said but it is such a rush finishing.
Why did i not get a notif 🤨 Definitely going to check that video later though, nice to see you're back
writing next month.. thanks for making this :) you helped out a lot of people!
Great tips! Thank you for this video❤️

Missed ya! 💛 hope your doing good!
Alpha kenny Thank you, I hope you are too!
Hey, you should make a video on your experience with the LSAT! :D
This is sooooooo helpful, thank you! I'm writing both in March 2021, I just have a couple questions!
- Did you take notes at all while reading the materials? Or did you not bother knowing that it's more about being able to find material vs. learning it.
- What websites/platforms did you buy your index/practice exams from?
Thanks!!!
Thank you .... this was great !
You made my day! Hi From Doha Qatar! :)
Very helpful, thank you. ♡
Do have do to a lot of writing in law school? Like papers or essays, even if your courses have 100% finals???
Great run-through and tips on the bar exam. So questions about articling. Umm....what exactly is articling and what does your day entail when you are articling?
Wonderful Tips indeed!
Lynnea, thank you for your video! I find it very encouraging and supportive. Do you know any foreign lawyers who has successfully passed the Canadian bar exam? I mean the ones who are from entirely different part of the world and not native English speakers.
Awesome video!
@Lynnea, the video is really helpful. Can you suggest some tips on how to get better at finding the things in the material? Thanks in advance.
Watching this while I have the barristers next week and solicitors in 3 weeks lol
What legal tabs did you use ?
What all stationary items you used (stick-on, etc) ,can you specify ?
Hi from Peru. Great tips
Hello from Greece! Great video.
Despina Sp Hi 😊 Thank you!
Thanks 🙏🏾 ❤️💯
Thank you for this! Quick question, how long did you spend reading per day (per page?).
Congrats
Wow! So much easier. In the US, we have to take the bar in two days back to back. You better know your sh*t. It would be so nice to have it on two days weeks apart.
♥
Plz make vlog of your daily work and rutine
If you finish the test early, should u sleep in place and go back and review the test?
Take a shot every time she says "my cameras gonna die"
Hey Lynnea, how is the job search after the bar exam? I'm a bit discouraged that I won't be able to find anything if I end up having a mediocre resume and there is an abundance of new lawyers each year looking for a job as well
Henry Pimentel I’m currently articling, so I’m not job hunting right now. Try not to be discouraged. It is quite competitive, but there are jobs out there. You just have to make yourself stand out-show what you can offer that no one else can. Best of luck, I’m sure it’ll all work out!!
Tons of work in small towns, specially if you're willing to start your own practice.
omg i missed u
So there's no training period in Canada? In Greece there's an obligatory 18 month training period after graduation, before one can sit the bar exam and become a licensed lawyer 😪
morsinvicta in Canada they have the same thing its called articling . It's about 10 months
In quebec we have to go to the bar school during 4 months or 8 months after graduating from law school before we can do the bar exam. It depends of the province where you are doing the bar exam
Soooo who else has absolutely zero in going to law school but sees these types of videos?
Hi can you make an video on NCA exam.
For the foreign lawyer who want to pursue career in Canada 🍁
Peace out ✌.
After taking the bar exam, what would be a good grade on it? What would be the best mark that helps you get a job afterwards?
Farzam Khizar The bar exam is actually pass/fail. If you pass, you don’t get any information on how you did. If you fail, I think they tell you what sections you did poorly in so you can improve.
were the new video?
Now they aren't 7 hours 😓😓 Just 4 Hours
I’m gonna take Bar exam in China neat year, 😟 scared
I think it is better to just do the targeted study that targets the most frequently tested material and not read as much. thx.
Is there no math in bar exam?
What school do you go to? Do you speak french?
:)
So, do lawyers make good money?
Are you doing job now a days?
hi if u wait until later, you will never get back to it. thx.
Wtf not even reading? In my Country you have to study every single page of cca 9373734 milion s of them to pass 😂
You can tell you're an attorney now. You're wearing blacks lol
