If you remove the negative cable first , you can avoid accidentally sparking your tool when removing the positive cable.

do NOT remove the positive cable first! Always remove the negative then positive, and when putting them back put the positive first and the negative last

For safety, always take off the negative First! If your wrench slips and you hit the chassis nothing will happen. If you wrench on the positive terminal first and you go too far you will make a BIG SPARK.

    G37 2010... 2 quick tips
    1. You will need the through wratchet (the one with a hole in it) terminal bolts and battery holder bolts will not allow you to use a regular wratchet.
    2. 2010 weathe striping has multiple clips so DO NOT PULL. Gently remove each clip slowly.

I keep my G on a battery tender because something drains it within a few days of sitting. I think my Bluetooth OBD2 module is partly to blame.
Also, in my 2008, the radio presets will stay through a battery disconnect. I believe the head unit has its own backup battery.
