What a great list! Especially the updated tech and kid items. We once stayed in an Airbnb that even had twin sized bunk beds with safety rails built into the master closet! Super cool. One thing I would consider adding to every bedroom is blackout curtains/shades. When you’re on vacay, you typically want to sleep in without the mornings sun in your face.
That's a great idea!
I bought a standing Pacman arcade and put it in the laundry room. The guests LOVE it....I don't even advertise it in the listing. It's a nice easter egg for the guests.
That's great!! Do your guests ever mention it in reviews?
@@AirbnbUncovered Yes!! At least one has.
Ah well, not all future guests will read all the reviews... so you can still surprise some!
a lot of great advice. however, dryer sheets are terrible for your health and the environment. please consider simply using 4 wool dryer balls instead. easily purchased online or at trader Joe's very affordably. fragrance free and they work perfectly.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
I got a pack of 6 at Homesense for about 20$, I love them!
Excellent!
Brilliant! So helpful thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! Will use some of your tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Im getting ready to start a airbnb business all comments and reply are wonderful! Great video
Best of luck!
Great channel , thank you 👍
Welcome!
Always missing from the airbnbs I go to… blackout curtains and great window treatments (sleep is important while traveling), stainless steel pots and pans (Teflon sucks!), and a filtered water source that takes out fluoride.
Also, ditch all the scented products. People are more concerned about health these days and it would be amazing more airbnb owners would note that.
Great points!
Love these videos!!! I'm going to have to look at getting a pack'n'play... sigh.
"At a minimum!!"
Is it better to rent furniture when starting? Or buy it ?
Yeah. I can’t find a pen in my own Airbnb bc they go missing constantly. Along with my charging blocks.
I'd suggest putting a label on your charging blocks. "Property of..." That way there is no "oops, thought it was mine".
If I do a Alexa dot I can do
airbnb account for just that dot?
Probably. Ask Alexa.
Re: Baby Gates - I would be careful because if something goes wrong you could be liable in a way you wouldn't be if you didn't provide them at all...
Hmmm... interesting point. Or just rent them through something like Babyquip and let them take the liability.
I’d probably just install one of those permanent, nice looking stair gates that looks like a barn door. That way it’s always there for when people bring babies and dogs. As a guest, I would personally love that.
I ask Siri for all of that
Ok. Good for you.
As a retired couple with no children, please don't make the TV too complicated.
Very true!!
Hostway is terrible because of their price model. They try to extract as much money as they can which is why they don't advertise their pricing model. Stay away. Guesty also partially has that same model but at least they have a lite version that is more transparent.
