I suggest that you get a big guard dog for protection plus a firearm of your choice. I myself have two attack dogs, Rottweilers they are my first line of defense plus I also carry a shotgun. I also run a trip line around my perimeter with spotlights. I’m a Veteran and use my Military experience to sleep safely because the two legged humans are the most dangerous creatures in the woods.

My late parents lived in central North Carolina on twenty wooded acres surrounded by miles of farms and forests. Several times, as I lay in bed at night, I'd listen to night sounds. I could identify owls, dogs and coyotes. However, there was a howling sound that I'd hear, much like you heard, that I could not identify.
I've always wondered what it could be...A sasquach? Just maybe.
(I just found your channel. Interesting and entertaining video.)

sasquatch use to mimic owls apparently and just like you say that it was extending way beyond what an owl's capability is is what use to give them away according to researchers. The barred owl is what use to get mimicked and the lung capacity sound way off.

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  Před měsícem +2

The smell was like dead rotting bodies. I remember when I was young digging in the garden once and I burst open a sealed ice cream tub. The stench that came out nearly made me sick. It was a dead guinea pig that had been buried but only decomposed inside the tub as it was airtight. I've had a couple of wierd experiences elsewhere but nothing like this. Only footsteps around my hammock and once the sound of a big cat close to the tent.

Hahaha, well played, no person in their right mind would truly remain that calm if they saw warm hand prints on the tree trunk not once but twice and in different positions....pull the other one. As someone who has spent a lot of time in the wilderness my initial reaction to spotting two fresh handprints on a large tree trunk would have been to illuminate that specific area and investigate...pack up if necessary. As for the noises well that is part and parcel of being alone in a woods or forest, wildlife comes alive at night and our mind tends to run wild and common sense can go out of the window. Now I am not implying this video is a hoax but youtube is littered with this solo camp creepy content which kind of dillutes the essence of what it means to explore the wild alone.

I really don't understand why he didn't turn lights on and see what made those hand prints.

Then again fear makes you do things differently then you normally would. I can see hand prints making me rethink things.

Wow, brave! I laughed when you said about how you previously swore you wouldn't go back on your own, but were indeed back there on your own. Well, not entirely on your own... Two possibilities... Sasquatch, or other Sasquatch 😄😅 The metallic banging is unusual, to be fair... maybe they could have found some metal thing somewhere... I dunno. Strange. The hand prints would be the younger ones who threw sticks and what not the other time, I imagine. This time they had a fun infrared camera to interact with and keep out of sight of. But the hand prints are certainly something they would do. Being friendly really. They must think you're okay. I honestly do not understand the science of how they make themselves invisible, so as to place hand prints with no other discernable action. My theory is some kind of extradimensional movement. But I've almost no idea how they do it. The howls and 'radio' talking sounds, also definitely Sasquatch. The dog walker maybe just didn't want to walk past your car, would be my rational guess for that one. Although it's possible that the Squatches are known about and that the area is being monitored by someone or other... Who knows... Cool gadgets by the way! The Sasquatch obviously think so too. You would probably get more interaction with the cameras if you went back another time. The CZcams app glitched when I was writing this comment so I'm not sure it will post right but anyway this is my two cents worth. Interesting experience again

@@NoviceWildCamper Okay... I know a thing or two about dogs. It's *very* unlikely that that was a dog howling, because dogs usually don't howl at night. That has pretty much disappeared from domesticated canines a very long time ago. Wolves do, it's communication, but dogs don't do that, unless there's a siren going off or such a thing. That sounded 100% like a wolf, and as far as I know, there are no wolves in your area. So that's that.

Oh sure, you reacted, but let's put it into perspective: The very laws of nature are being torn down right in front of you, the question of whether or not ghosts are real, has just been answered, it has to be a ghost right?
There's no possible way a person could have got that close to you without you noticing them, thus, ghost. So, given that you now know ghosts are real, it seems to me that it would warrant a bit more of a reaction than "there's two fuckin' handprints. They weren't there two seconds ago!"
You must be made of sterner stuff than me, because had that been me, and I had just learned that ghosts are real, and not only that, but they're also screwing with me, then I would have stepped over me own mum to get the fuck out of there.
Again, these are disembodied handprints we're talking about, when last time you were there, some mysterious noises were enough to freak you out so hard that you bailed. But at the end of the day it comes down to what one believes, and I'm always of the opinion that I can't accept any evidence shown to me, by default - simply by virtue of the fact that I wasn't there, so there's no possible way for me to know for sure that what I'm seeing is genuine. I don't mean to offend, just to explain why I'm sceptical. I may not believe it to be paranormal, but it was most definitely entertaining, so cheers.@@NoviceWildCamper

Cheers buddy. First trip there was worse as I just felt odd throughout it. I couldn't even put my finger on it but like you see in horror films when someone says they feel the chill run up their spine. It was like that. Never felt like that before. This time I felt fine, didn't really feel threatened in any way and as I don't believe in ghosts kept trying to rationalise what was going on around me. We're they old handprints that just lingered there and I missed them first pan round? I know from my diving days that if you place your bare hand on a brain coral it can leave a handprint there for many years as the skin marks it and eas thinking maybe this was something similar that couldn't be seen by the human eye but by the camera? 🤷🏼‍♂️ just trying to rationalise and explain things in my head but the fear wasn't like the last camp, that was a feeling I didn't feel on this one.

Possibly. Nearest track is just over 5 miles away so would have to be very loud.

I thought this was spooky before I realised the video cuts both times before the hand prints mysteriously appear. Nice try ;)

There's no cut before. Loads of cuts obviously as I'd been filming for ages before seeing anything but the camera jitters on the tripod and looks like cuts all over the place. 👍

Surely fake 😂 your reaction seems out of proportion for someone who’s just seen human hand prints on a tree in a woods with no one around haha 😂 like who just double hand palms a tree anyway - good content but all in the name of entertainment
