As a Rockets fan, right from Houston, this hurts. I understand why Harden felt it was time to go, and I thank him for me getting into the sport of basketball. Although we could never make it to the promise land, there were countless memories made on the way.

They brought in everyone he asked them to bring in that was plausible. He then ran them off because it is a pattern where the other stars got tired of Harden not committing the way they felt he needed to(i.e. hitting up the strip club during playoff series' or slacking off in practice... Etc). He was given the keys to the city and the fans faithfully backed him. Then it became apparent Moreyball and Harden couldn't break through the championship barrier and they started to pivot away from letting him run the team. After that he basically threw a fit and forced the trade. Any goodwill he built up with Houston fans was burned up in HOW he left. The fact that they're doing so terribly now is evidence that he wasn't wrong but if he was gonna opt out, Rafael Stone could've tried to start building a different team instead of cobbling together a hodge podge small ball roster to entice Harden to buy in.

Finally a rockets fan that's honest Harden was the star and the main problem at the same time he was being pampered way too much with him being fully dedicated like everybody else.His weight issues,lack of effort defense for years and his ball hogging plus him exiling co stars was why they never could win dude was selfish as hell and nobody wants to be honest about it
are u guys actually dumb? got everything he wanted. he only had a good team in 2018. they literally played the warriors for 4 years who literally had the better team overall. harden was playing with omer asik, michael beasely, patrick beverly, washed dwight, injured cp3 and you expected to beat the warriors. some you mfs dumb asl. dwight howard played good for the first season n was washed up after that and was passed around. they tried to get jimmy but the timberwolves said no. they tried for durant and it didnt happen. then in 2019 the front office didnt want to go over the luruxy tax to keep the same team from 2018
