One of the struggles in almost every shop...is work surface space. The secret to making the most of your shop... all center around a single idea. Modular systems. One such workbench system is the Bora Centipede Workbench System. It's not perfect, but it's much better than wall mount flip up systems and a traditional workbench. In this video, I highlight several of the pros and cons of this system.

I’ve found many uses for it. It’s not as convenient as I originally thought it was though.

check out the double p tops to solve the issue of not enough p top holes to secure the table tops near the middle 👍

I actually bought a set months ago. Have not felt like deploying the table in awhile. It's honestly not that fast into action with the Bora tops. I think I'm just gonna cut a down a piece of plywood and use that.

I've finally installed them! It's better but honestly...I think it's a lot of fuss to setup the Bora worksurfaces on the Centipede

You touched on one of the concerns I have with the MDF top... water. Have you considered putting a finish on it to help protect it from potential water damage.

I’ve considered it. If I were to do that…I’d rather spend the time and energy on a one piece plywood top instead.

Does it need a level floor?

Not really. But…like any table on a sloped floor…the surface of the table will be sloped.

I love this table so much. But the tops are a waste. A piece of plywood is a bit lighter and a lot less expensive. Three-quarter inch holes drilled in the plywood and insert a three-quarter inch dowel into those holes down into the holes on each of the legs. That keeps it adequately stable. Those finicky plastic things that come with it are not for me.

I use this table for everything. It’s in most of my videos lol.

I guess it doesn’t matter how big your shop is…it eventually feels small!
