- This video will show you in detail a problem I incurred with my International 4700 truck. I thought the ignition switch was failing until I discovered a situation that leads to the failure of my truck not starting.

Man the worst happened, we managed to keep him out of it but he found a mechanic to fix it. (we dismantled the solenoid) anyway, he parked it in the tow zone, city of Chicago took it. He tried but could never pay the $100-a-day fees by the time he located it in a couple weeks.

Put 2 wires from the Starter to a Starter botton open the ignition key push the Starter botton and that's it.Use a Marine Starter botton

Good video. Our IH 4900 has a new problem of not cranking. It has an Allison Automatic transmission with electronic shift pad. Possible relay issue suspected as the shift panel is steady "N" with the key off position. Also a check engine light with the key in off position. So we unhooked the battery for the weekend.
I got the same exact truck, I change my fuel filter the other day. Now when I start off driving it takes awhile to get out of first gear any suggestions

Yeah as soon as you started banging on that shifter I knew it was your neutral safety switch was out of position
I have mine with the same problem I think. I changed the selenoi and it remains the same and the switch is bad now it does not work with your video tomorrow I will change it greetings I'm glad to see your video

Yes, I used it quite a bit. I purchased it from Niagra Falls, NY and drove it back to Chicago where I used it for about 4 years before selling it.

I've yet to work on one International that the fuel gauge actually worked 🤣🤣🤣....and I've worked on quite a few..LMAO
I have the exact same international truck that does the same thing from time to time , the only difference is yours is an automatic , mine not , yesterday it went totally dead on me while literally driving , idk what it has
Did you happen to figure out the problem with your truck? We have a 96 4700 international however it’s not automatic.
