Will you dance with your shadow?
An invitation to respond and create with Mithun Gill to DhĪ Niīla (Reflection blue) a stirring violin and piano composition by Preetha Narayanan.
A theme which rose to the surface as we developed a direction to create our movements together was of becoming aware of our shadows and coming face to face with them. Can we embrace our shadows, recognising their contribution to our wholeness?
We contemplated how masculine and feminine energies exist within us all, yet one or the other may remain a shadow, unintegrated. Through the nature of partner work we found how these energies could come into balance and restore, guide and hold us - flow and support weaving their way through our journey.
Energies we search for, meet and find in another are reflected back to us as we journey beneath the surface of a reflection…
