I’m the guy whose comment you highlighted in this video on the Strongside topic in this video. I’m always open to being wrong, and when I am I 100% own it. You have clearly pointed out things that I was wrong on. I don’t know what I don’t know until I do, and I want to thank you for bringing me to light on information that I was presented with at one time that wasn’t the same as what you showed. You have done deep dive research that I would never do on my own because I have no horse in this race or real incentive to do so. This is one of the many reasons why you’re my favorite CZcams channel in the CrossFit ecosystem. Sevan as well! I’m going to the Games in 2024 to watch, and I hope I get to meet you in person. In the meantime, as long as you choose to keep making content. I continue to choose being a big fan and watch it.
Like you said, they know how to do the rep correctly. They choose to short the rep. If CrossFit won’t hold the athletes accountable per the standard, of course they are going to continue to perform as such. I don’t even blame the athletes anymore, the officiating has quite some ways to go. There is no standard during events if each judge is different. Objectivity becomes subjectivity. This makes the entire event unfair for athletes, as there is no longer a level playing ground.
Wow you covered a lot of topics in this video! I believe athlete's compete like they train. If you train to depth you know when you are not getting there. Some might say they try a no rep see if the judge calls them on it and if they dont they ride it out because in a workout with 40+ reps that's .5 of a second per rep. Yes that doesnt make it right but until the judges call them for it and all judging is equal we will always have this.
It’s because they train that way. If you train that way you’re not going to be able to just adjust on the fly when you compete. It’s simple, do the standards while training and you’ll never even to have to think about while competing.
Crossfit gyms traditionally don’t have mirrors. I wonder if they should. It would give those that care about performing movements to a standard a way to check themselves instead of needing an observer or a phone video. I have a mirror in my gym and if I go by feel, sometimes I hit depth, sometimes I don’t. The mirror provides instant feedback.
Here in Portugall the price of the fee will go down from 3000€ to 2190€, starting 2024, plus a credit of 500€ for owners/coaches get there level 2. Affiliate owners are very happy!
You are SO right! Could you please also make one of these videos with handstand push-ups? Particularly the ones from last year's rogue invitational. It was a joke!!
Not sure what the rule is but there's a big difference between the angle at the top of the thigh than the femur bone angle. The femur might be parallel to the ground but the thigh is tapered and would appear not to be parallel.
Did you contrast Dani's reps with Anikha's no reps in the indi section? Felt Anikha was a little hard done after watching Dani. Overall, the comp judging was pretty good - they put a lot of time into training and prepping their judges for each workout.
More just curious. It seems to me you’ve done a great job separating yourself from the woke garbage CrossFit and those alike associated with it from yourself. You call out people who others might find uncomfortable calling out. Wasn’t sure if Sevan was on that list of people.
Former crossfit athlete here, I quit because of chronic joint/tendon injuries and rehab always failing me. I never thought PEDs like HGH could help with this type of issue. Is there someone with experience/information on the use of PEDs for injury prevention?
Squat below parallel no excuses. It's sooo much easier to go to just parallel than slightly below parallel. Letting people get away with it (it's more than just Dani) is ridiculous. I guarantee if the judges no repped her, she would suddenly find the ability to make her legs shrink a little and get below parallel. I've seen her squat below parallel so I know she can. If it's too close to call it's a no rep and judges should feel comfortable enforcing that. It's up to the athlete to make the rep unquestionably good.
People take on extreme hardship and risk loss to take water and sale at high profit margin at natural disasters. Same with gas. If you limit what they can charge, they won’t bring those resources to the disaster. Basic capitalism
It’s possible that CrossFit looses more affiliates in the next year than they gain because of the price increase. Or maybe they know they are loosing affiliates so they are increasing the price to compensate for their losses. We will see next year if they are honest.
I'm bigger than Dani Speegle and I can squat below parallel. But I guess if you get away with it long enough, then you start to believe that everyone else is wrong.
I’m from the Chicago suburbs too. Train up in libertyville; do double weight Grace sometime with me. Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs.
@hillerfit exactly! The anabolic doc gave a great explanation of it. If you're at 70% and you do a 12wk cycle at 10mg a day (5mg and 5mg) you'll end at 90%. Then post cycle you'll maybe drop to 80%. In other words, you could continuously improve if done responsibly. No clue about guys doses but its my understanding that it is the ped of choice for many many female athletes.
No drugs in CrossFit, just toasted meat and tainted supps. Also, any word on when Shawn Ramirez will clear his name like he promised 4 years ago when he got popped for PED’s?
Andrew, I love your videos and agree with most everything you put out. BUT, this acid trip while being yelled at ending is really annoying. I'm just telling you my truth. Love you to death, but I cringe and want to run during this "just do it". Maybe I'm missing the point but geeze. That part is sooo annoying. No offense, sweetie, but this stoner talk with yelling at the same time is too much, man, lol. Seriously... Keep up the wonderful content. We've gotta make crossfit great again;)
@Dwizzle77 lmao, if the point of crossfit is to see who the most fit person is, doing a proper pull-up is a better showcase of fitness than kipping. But enjoy your clown world of a sport, its not like i participate anyhow.
The red lines in these clips are ridiculous. . Going from the knee to above the hip. Should be knee to end of femur. Based off bones.. the red line goes from the knee and tracks above the quad? How does that makes sense? You're actually assuming anatomy points from random camera angles like its gospel... they're way off............... also respectfully your sunnies are sh!t but that's just imo.
Unless you force people to wear clothing that has graphic print on it that's anatomically correct to their specific body, knee to hip crease has always been "close enough". It's easier to judge based on hip crease than on a judges subjective opinion on where their femur ends based on assumed muscle mass and body composition in that area of someone else's body. However my opinion is maybe based on more of a "simply be above reproach at all times" perspective than most
They are blue blockers 🤷♂️ And I apologize for not making this clear, and I didn’t make the rules. But, it’s the hip crease. Not the hip, not the femur.
I don't think I EVER saw KARA SAUNDERS not squat below parallel, and she is the OG CrossFitter with the big thighs... 🤷🏻♂️
Hell yeah brother
This needs to be rewritten, in bigger letters, bolder text, printed and framed.

Enjoyed this multi topic / week in review type style 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice wee whistle stop tour of everything that’s going on, good job.
Every video, a masterpiece
Smashed it again Andrew people don’t like the truth 💥

Another great video!
Good explanation, simple...
Another solid piece here ❤❤ get 'em 💯 👌
I like this instagram review format. I found the multiple topics more engaging than some of your longer single topic videos.

today i learnt about bones and muscles of the leg, a good day
Thank the lord. I thought this video was going to end without an AI Jay clip.
That just cannot happen!
It never gets old.😂
U dawg Andrew! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Sweet blue blockers!

Never done crossfit but apart from being highly entertaining you def lay out some good basic phys ed stuff, love it!!!!

That is interesting. Did they explain how they calculated those amounts?
Nop
Looks like successful affiliates will be picking up someone's else's slack. Socialized Fitness
I thought this was Bono crossed with The Edge. Then realized it wasn't .
😂😂😂
Idk either of these people

I see you got the costco sweatpants, damn theyre comfy and WARM 👍🏻
Actually vndk8!
@@hillerfithmmm what does this say about the vndk8 sweatpants? Or the Costco sweatpants?
“Opportunist” is the word. 8:20
"Speegle's depth looks fine to me" -Multi-ply powerlifters, probably
This is crazy I actually been to that gym and it’s actually a great gym and the owner was very friendly and professional. Not sure what’s going on tbh
@hillerfit i actually seen this strong-side gym on my commute, its. Like hidden next to Sprouts 😂
700k divided by 13k equals about $50 per affiliate per year. $1000 times 13k equals $13,000,000
Some gyms are leaving. Some had the price drop. So it wasn’t that easy and I have no way to figure it out
Do you think theres any clean games athletes?
Is this a Hiller Week in Review? If so, I like it
I guess so 😅
Second that!
The CFO and CMO’s job is to make more money for the company/share holders and not necessarily to bring value to the consumers(crossfitters/affiliates)
Hey Hiller, have you ever watched videos of when Dani Speegle does get below parallel?
Was waiting for you to splice in a picture of Noah Olsen with those HGH belly pics 😂
Agreed.
What do the bats means exactly?
Not sure what the rule is but there's a big difference between the angle at the top of the thigh than the femur bone angle. The femur might be parallel to the ground but the thigh is tapered and would appear not to be parallel.
Kara Saunders would never not go below parallel...if someone has big legs is her 🔥
Never say never 😅
Did you contrast Dani's reps with Anikha's no reps in the indi section? Felt Anikha was a little hard done after watching Dani. Overall, the comp judging was pretty good - they put a lot of time into training and prepping their judges for each workout.
By the way, you're channeling the Edge (U2) vibes ❤😂
Days since Hiller has talked about Dani....
Just can’t quit her
What glasses are those? Want.
Hiller, are you and Sevan still on the same page? Good terms?
Yessir. Why do you ask
More just curious. It seems to me you’ve done a great job separating yourself from the woke garbage CrossFit and those alike associated with it from yourself. You call out people who others might find uncomfortable calling out. Wasn’t sure if Sevan was on that list of people.
What does Sevan need to be called out on? He’s pretty much perfect.
100% agree. Just haven’t seen Hiller and Sevan on the air together lately and to me that’s unusual in the midst of all the CF affiliate drama, etc.
Former crossfit athlete here, I quit because of chronic joint/tendon injuries and rehab always failing me. I never thought PEDs like HGH could help with this type of issue. Is there someone with experience/information on the use of PEDs for injury prevention?

I sort of feel bad for the judges because her butt is so big that when she’s moving fast it looks like depth
Crossfit is struggling and Speegle has followers. She claims to be a victim on her bad form and no reps. Good grief!!
You winey bro
About?
Why does it feel that CrossFit caters to speegle with certain events every year ? 😑

Her thighs are thick so she’s below parrelel. Not every person is built the same…
small, big, long, short.. no depth is no depth. I can see it being easier on a judge if an athlete has "thinner" legs, easier to see the boney bits. 🦇
My favorite part of crossfit is how not going below parallel on your squat is against the rules, but kipping your pullups is allowed
Range of motion vs gymnastics variation. Try again
@Dwizzle77 lmao, if the point of crossfit is to see who the most fit person is, doing a proper pull-up is a better showcase of fitness than kipping. But enjoy your clown world of a sport, its not like i participate anyhow.

Its the Big Bank privilege @hillerfit that extra booty fat makes the hip crease lower or higher 🤔
