I’m not even a baseball fan but he’s so exciting to watch
Elly de la Cruz will be MVP in the next few years mark my words
We'll see! He'll have to get his BA way up in-order for that to happen. But his HRs are very good on top of his steals!
Respectfully mark your words yet you spelled elly wrong…
MVP for strikeouts maybe... He has a ways to go. But he is exciting and talented for sure.
@@ryanking6335 exactly that’s why I said in the next few years like 6
If he improves to .300 avg, he good!! Takes work ofc
Besides the speed, his height, that long limbs help reach bags effortlessly. Incredible.
He should be MVP for getting me to watch baseball. Lol I tried to watch baseball years ago but it's fun watching him.
Only 110 to go to break Rickeys record of 130.😆
It’s nice to you naming Elly in the company of such legend like Ricky Henderson. I love ❤️ Ricky he was so much fun to watch. I do believe Elly reminds me of Ricky Henderson in some ways. The Kid is electric and lightning ⚡️ fast. I think we can all agree on that fact.
If Elly could limit his strikeouts & get on base more often via walks & simple base hits I believe he will break Hendersons record as he has the speed to do it at this point in his young career & likely will have that kind of speed for the nxt 3 seasons after this current one concludes... However 5 seasons after this one I dont believe Elly will have the same kinda blazing fast speed that hes got right now. So in my opinion if hes gonna break the record he will have to do it in the next 3 seasons if he doesn't get it done this season but who knows some players have breakout seasons after the All Star game so we'll see.
He's still the most electric player Ive seen run the bases since Henderson did it decades ago.
The only bad thing I see is that he has a slight tell that hes gonna go when his hands go up as if hes Randy Moss telling the QB that hes open. If the average baseball fan can pick up on that then Im sure the catchers & other players on the field have already picked up on it as well.
If Rickie had these base running rules he would have stoled over 200 a year
He has electricity!!!!!!
Game needs it
I thinking this guy playing baseball alone on the field 😂😂😂
8 days later Elly de la Cruz now has 30 steals.
Trust me those catchers are going pick up on Him. He throws his hands high when he going. 👀👍👍
Yeah I noticed that too
Too fast, doesnt matter
@@MarvinMonroe
He's fast but your statement implies he's %100 , noway.
As the season progresses and the catchers get to know him, they'll time him.
@@kennethmalone8104 hes way to fast lmao like generational fast. look at the pitch at 2:44 96MPH fastball catcher knew he was running too
@@IncroyableAquatics
He is mind blowing and I love watching him, but the top base stealers are also the top caught stealing. I'm not hating, like the other day Dude barehands the start of a double play 👀 🤔
😂
Elly is something special for sure. I already corrected his attributes on showtime 23 cause they didn’t do him justice!!!!! lol yes he is on my team so is that pirates O’Neil Cruz they seem like brothers but Elly is the truth
50 plus bases by the end of the season
Elly reminds me of anime One Outs
His name is Johnson. One out Episode 15
Nice
If Elly was the lead runner in a double steal and the catcher threw to 2nd, I bet Elly would somehow take Home.😳
He alredy did.
Speed kills
I hate the Reds, but I would watch them just to watch him.
He might have every aria sliding mitt
La cocoa 🔥🇩🇴
Plátano power
I don't think he real I mean 😅😅 it's just unbelievable how easy he makes plays like above another level jajjaja
Just bought 10 elly rookie cards all of them short prints and inserts for a solid 100$ all these haters going to jealous in 10 years time 🤣
Good acting ! I want to nominate
His height throws me off. It doesn't look like he's moving fast.
He needs to stop starting out hot and cooling way off to be on par with the games best
someone give this armchair analyst a raise
@@richardli4038 June: .308
July: .238
August: .198
September: .161
Last years batting average for each month. How has this year been different exactly? He started off on pace to break records and hitting for average and now he’s cooling off way earlier
Nothing against Elly but we really need % rate for steals in baseball because you're hurting your team if your success rate in steals is like 60% or lower. Like in the NBA if you take 50 shots to score 50 points that's not that impressive. Like 20 steals compared to how many failed attempts? I'm sure Elly's steal % is impressive but y'all need to make that stat available.
He's only been caught 3 times
So he's 21 for 24 on the year....pretty solid percentage
Man it is available in some of the more detailed website plus even if it's not just so it on Ur own ain't hard to figure out 21 of 24..... Ill do the this for ya here ya go=87 percent
In conclusion, every Elly’s single becomes a Triple or a Home run because He’s stealing second, third and sometimes home 😂 And They know it but can’t do anything.
Goddamn
Why these dudes standing with their foot on the base like he a forced runner?
3rd
first
This M F er is something else entirely
대놓고 호다닥 뛰는데 잡질 못하니 캐쳐들 약올라 죽겠넼
I know that baseball is trying to appeal to a younger crowd. But the absolute nonsense of football and basketball players is now here. For generations baseball was governed by unwritten rules, much like football. But an absolute fantastic play isn’t complete without a dance, flexing your muscles or a Braveheart battle cry. It used to be flipping your bat, or even stopping to look at your handiwork would be the fastest way to get a fastball in your ribs, next at bat. Now a .250 needs to flip the bat, scream like a battle cry, and prance around the bases, ending with a choreographed dance in the dugout. I hope they’re successful. But I won’t be there. MLB has gone “look at me” bush league
Takes a team to win games.. Reds are 16-21.. Young man adds a lot, but Cincinnati needs a lot more than a couple dozen stolen bases.. #Gophillies
Great and the REDS keep LOSING. so helpful and game changing
