I honestly prefer the xbox 360 controller more than the xbox one controller. I love the anolog stiffness, the dpad, and the trigger travel compared to the xbox one
When my friend got an xbox one I did not like the controller. the triggers where the one thing i loved. but the dpad felt like a gba sp dpad. The sticks have sandpaper around them. the shape was not as comfy in the hand. and you can use rechargeable AA batteries without them getting stuck and having to go get the pliers.

I am about to buy an xbox controller for just "The Soul Games" when you mentioned DS at the beginning..you made my day..thanks. That's what i was looking for.
The 360 is the best controller I've ever used. The build quality and comfort in my hands is unmatched. Button placement is excellent close to the thumbsticks as they should be. Not even the Elite controllers can beat the 360 controller and the foundation it set. The grandfather of modern controllers or the GOAT
My biggest concern is comfort, the 360 to me is the most comfy gamepad ever...i see the X1 controller and as far as build quality goes, i can obviously tell its a huge upgrade, but that central part of the controller looks a lot taller from top to bottom, making the sides look smaller, gives a "fatter" vibe for lack of a better term, this is what's making me doubt. Sadly, Microsoft no longer makes X360 controllers, so anyone reading this be real careful online, know that any seller (even newegg or amazon) selling X360 brand new controllers [specially white ones with gray accents] will be selling you a fake, modern fakes have come a long way with design, but analog sticks and reliability is still very much of fake quality. The only option you have today if you can't move from the 360 shape is the MSI GC20 or 30 , they are the only high-quality brand new Xbox 360 controllers for PC being made today.
360 Controller was the best imo It even one an award i believe, they spent millions researching how to make it ergonomically efficient and it shows! Most pc players still have one laying around. Its like your good ol six shooter or that favorite car you drive when nothing else fancies you. Xbone controller is also good but other then the dpad , the grip feel and later Bluetooth connectivity which were amazing, it made changes for changes sake because its the next xbox.
True that shit!! My 360 controllers have lasted me years! Xbox one controllers last about a year with very heavy use (still less use than 360...) I think Xbox peaked with that one and they should have stopped while they were ahead. Xbox one was just overall disappointing...
