Please only send campaigns on the verge of defeat or battles you can't win. Auto resolve wins won't be accepted. Modded campaigns are not currently accepted. Please only send campaigns/battles on large or ultra unit scale. Normal and small unit scale will not be accepted. Not currently accepting Realm of Chaos campaigns/battles.

Looks like they still haven't fixed the issue that she doesn't use her curses on the AI so when the player fights her she has a huge bank of curses and blessings.

if you make him use it he won't have it again for a few turns
@@bohemond7426 It just doesn’t get used in auto resolve, as it isn’t a quantifiable advantage. So he will always have it for the manual battles.
So that’s why she’s so fucking annoying to fight against. Jeesh…
@@na8291 Kind of a different case, since I believe the AI always autoresolve against each other. The computer can't make all AI battles be field battles and unlike the curses and blessings, the rockets cannot be used in autoresolve. So he will always have the rocket ready for the player because he gets no other chances of using it
The AI didn't account for the true blessing that is having Legend as the commander.

Mama Ostankya may have curses, but we have the greatest blessing of all; Legend of Total War as a Legendary Lord like Gotrek. He comes in, smashes everything, and then leaves to allow you to carry on in his stead.

I find it insane that someone thought it was ok for the AI to get free curses per turn, be able to accumulate them and then just give them curses that guarantee that a unit gets deleted.
CA has made an absolute mess of the series with these games. The issues are numerous but they got worse as they created power creep with DLC factions. I swear to whatever god you pray to, CA either has almost none or actually no QA department when it comes to DLC factions. Or they're grossly underpaid and not given nearly enough time to test all the factions. And since the game is so disgustingly driven by statistics, it's extremely easy to create broken units in this series of games. It's dog shit, to be frank. 99% of the units have the same behavior and the only distinguishing feature is their statistics which are so easily manipulated, these are just bad strategy games that don't blend RPG and strategy well. It's far more RPG than anything.
@@adamg7984But we still love it because damn the glimpse of what it could be is just so tantilising. But imagine if they really made it what it could be. Properly different units with properly all different fighting styles that match up or not. The crazy gloriousness could be over the top.
@@adamg7984as someone who got laid off by CA a year ago. They do NOT have QA teams. Our devs were expected to do a minimum amount of UNPAID hours play testing on top of our actual work which was a truly ludicrous workload. I was an art and front end/UI dev for the game hyenas and now work for an even more consumer hostile company.. blizzard. Any OW fans around? I work full time on it.
Bruh, I hated going against Stank Mother. Had a dreadfleet necrofex doomstack and she'd curse the whole army. Had to manually fight every single battle with that army.
Did they patch the exploit where you can repeatedly attack and immediately surrender to waste her curses?

Every time when I get cursed by AI I just felt they are cheating way more than the normal AI cheat, like, the normal AI cheat is invisible, but curses are just.... extremely visible, no real counter, and annoying. Usually I make it a priority to remove these curse from the game as soon as I can.
They are only cheating due to brain dead ai. She never uses her curses against other ai armies so has a ton of curses saved up to drop on a full player stack.

I'm even more glad I installed the mod that changes Daughters of the forest starting position. Let them curse chaotic factions, not asur busy fighting dark elves.
Shit's getting real when Legend uses control groups.
It would be really cool to see guides from Legend on how to best use the basic garrisons for each army, like the warlock-engineer, clanrat shields, night runners, and skavenslave slingers you get from the main skaven settlement chain
I absolutely love the amount of cheese that comes with her faction. killed off 4 fully XPd high end dwarf armies without loosing a single soldier in a non doomstack army. especially if you put the curse that spreads on the reinforcement armies they are half dead by the time they come in and it is hilarious to watch
Does it activate while they are off map?
@@maxpower3990 yes and no, I think it activates as soon as they render in which is slightly off map. so by the time they entered the actual battlefield I think they took some hits. I'm almost done wiping out the entire map but I can see with the spare 7 or so dwarf armies how exactly it works. Even if it would only activate when they are in, I advise to jkust sit in a corner on the other end of the map and wait till they are all dead.
They nerfed halt faction but left all the crazy stuff this faction has access to. I rather be stopped for 1 turn than have to face this kind of bullshit.

I was about to send you a similar disaster battle in my recent Tyrion campaign except my army had a high level fire mage, prince, 6 silverin guard, 6 sisters of averlorn, 2 fire dragons, and 2 dragon prince cav. Ostankya had 18 Akshina ambushers and some other wizard.
Thankfully I was able to win the battle without losing any units but very high casaulties.

these curses and blessings helped me to beat full stack of The Scourge of Aquitaine with a bunch of cossacks, fun times

Attrition plagues and curses make me close the game for a day. Curses at least have some counterplay, with plague you just sit and hope.

Who on earth thiught it was fine to have "delete that unit" option that you can use multiple times and that you can't do anything about as the player ? Im trying to think of a mechanic that would be this busted but things like slaanesh seduction costs a lot for more than 1 basic unit and it's not guaranteed to be wiped out

in ym morathi campaign i wasted ostankyas cursed with one army, all 80something of them !!! and 2 turns later she dropped 19 on my other rmy. its so overtuned
This is one of the problems with WH3, there are so many game mechanics like curses and plagues that are just not fun to deal with
Legend, I've been scouring your channel for your thoughts on Troy. It's on Steam now, and has been out for a bit, so I'm thinking of getting it. I know you weren't enthusiastic when it released - but then again; NO Total War is ever any good on release, so I take that with some salt.

Only faction i hate figthing againts. Even when they are not the closest target i usually try to delete them from my games as soon as possible. Curse mechanic is broken af needs a rework or just simple deletion tbh. If there was a mod to remove or "fix" this thing i would use.

Still annoys me how CA Lock necessary units behind pay walls. Kislev and Cathay should have had the units from Shadows of Change on day 1. The DLC locks 2 flying units for Cathay to defend your flying balloons madness. CA need to release a free DLC for Tomb Kings, Vampire coast and Bretonnia their rosters are such dogshit and Bretonnia have got nothing since WH1.

@@gHGhejtomb king need a reason to go to the rest of the map, their whole campaign takes place in the bottom left of the map. Also let's not kid around, CA 100% either made the units before release or saw that their was a gap in their armies and left it there so they could cover it with a DLC. Like how skaven were basically only half decent until the skyre DLC dropped. It's a common scum tactic to sell more dlc, and CA has done it before. Think about how gimped the chaos rosters were until their dlc came out. Make a problem, sell the solution
Warhammer 1 faction like bretonia norca empire need a rework not only few units. CA is stupid though, they dont realize that they have a life service single player game - its so fucking rare. This game can be develop until table top game is or new minifigure came out. Amount of content that can be put here is nearly unlimited. They've decided to kill that golden egg chicken for a short term profit and fanbase milked. Thats how game for a decade of develop looks like - Todd Howard dream. Menagment didn't see it, what are they thinking I dont know.

Every time I'm thinking about getting back to TW:Warhammer 3 I watch a Legend video to remind me how much of a soul-sucking shitshow the game still is.
Thats true but all you need to do really is play on lower difficulty. This game is design lazy, AI is programed lazy and difficulty is basicly just cheats. You can turn of all battle cheats to damage and leadership and set game on hard or very hard anyway. To enjoy this game you play on easy or normal if you are begginer or hard very hard if you played much and want more chaalange. Never legendary. If you dont want any cheats you dont play above normal. (Before that option to turn of battle cheats I've never played on hard.) It not helps with everything whats wrong with this game but can allow you to have fun experiment with unusual or lore accurate armies.

TW:W3 simply isn't fun, the Realm of Chaos is a massive chore with portals so annoying they were modded out on release day, the "Siege rework" is a pathetic joke, that in most cases made the battles worse, they're just as uninteresting, but now they take longer, cause more attrition and the layouts and pathfinding are worse (GrEAt SucCeSS).
Factions mechanics also are mostly boring to play and completely infuriating to deal with (I curse your units and they die, I steal your units, I steal your city, .... What do you mean "no counter-play").
This game has devolved to a predatory DLC simulator, flinging increasing amounts of bullshit at the player whose main """fun""" is to "keep up" with the trash, by spamming single entities and cheesing the AI to get through the unfun parts of the game (about 60% of the play-through) just to abandon the campaign after 100 turns because the AI is still retarded and won't prove a challenge anymore. As a long time fan of both Warhammer and Total War, I really couldn't imagine a worse game.
Whats the point of playing lore-accurate balanced armies? They'll just get ambushed on attack by Skaven and entirely wiped because your archers and artillery can't attack. Or your entirely front-line will get single-handedly killed by one hero after you wiped the floor with his army. Lore-accurate simply doesn't work, because TW:W is not lore accurate.
Really? Because I sorta feel the opposite; I've played TWW2 into the ground, but held off on 3 because of all the bad talk I've heard about it.
But a lot of legend's W3 disaster battles actually make it seem pretty interesting. The one he put out just before this (with the slaneesh army vs 4 empire stacks) was a good fight, the one before *that* was a crazy chaotic siege battle, and this one, at least, seemed sorta novel with whatever this curse thing is going on (though I guess it probably gets old petty quick.)

How to get blessings?
Yeah her mechanics are stupid. Her faction is weak, but if it weren't for this fact here, you can use an unlimited amount of debuffs they cost nothing but time, there should absolutely be a cap on how many of each hex you can take, and an overall max on the number of hexes you can take overall regardless of type

Love me some stanky ikit or Kairos, they spend entire campaign preparing their special abilities only to use it on you, no matter if it makes sense, player bias at it's finest
