I had been wondering how you got a crushing defeat autoresolve for a while now, as i saw it a couple times in your videos, but never encountered it myself, nor figured out the conditions based on the vids. But it makes sense that a decisive defeat is just that you'll likely lose cause of the odds, but a crushing one is humiliating in the sense that you'll very likely lose while in the sense of the amount of units you should have a/the advantage. Pretty cool to know now :)
The harder one to get is the heroic victory autoresolve

@@what3verfloatsurgoat391 Its easy to get at lower difficulty. Since the bonuse apply afterward, you win even when outnumbered

I feel like Legend has been underestimating Aspiring Champions for a while now. He's still got leftover distaste from back when they were bad units
and by default they're not amazing, if you're testing them in custom battle i mean. Their strength is the absolute shitload of buffs they can get on campaign, and that they're surprisingly easy to recruit
@@orionzeden Campaign is what many people will play the game for tho plus many of their buff comes from technology which is very easy to get so they're actually pretty good unit in wh3.
Imagine the enemy generals having a post battle meeting.
The faction leader: You were supposed to deliver them a crushing defeat. How did you lose?

Leader: But you lost the battle. I gave you everything.
General: But we trapped his general. He couldnt land. I had my whole army following him, ready to deliver death.

@LegendofTotalWar how did you know that the AI would change tactics if you crossed that line in the middle? Just from general proximity? Or does the AI understand that the map is split in 2 and behaves differently when its on the same side as you? You understand the games behavior so well sometimes it feels like you're Neo seeing the code of the Matrix

funny the amount of times you had to deal with dwarven units being inconveniently fast. Especially using a majority Slaanesh army.

23:18 honesty, I wouldn’t mind you taking five minutes for every unit: would give you more time to analyze and explain the difference individual matchups, without going into the semi-rambling state that Off to Battle might enter doing the same. As slow as it can go-because you know, Dwarves-it would also allow you to ZOOM IN every so often, more than you did here at any rate
Also, I would enjoy it simply because it’s A Grudge Too Far in action; thank you for enduring the well-armored, plodding asskicking, Person Who Submitted This!

Dwarven endgame crisis is the worst.
Just got done with cleaning one out in a Wood Elf campaign.
Spent more time sorting it than everything else I done in that campaign.

Apart from the AI being abused, I'd say this is the most beautiful disaster battle I've seen recently.

As a HUGE fan of the warriors of Chaos, only Nurgle and Tzeentch can afford a monogod army, as they are the only ones to have an infantry that is good against large units (Nurgle has great weapons, Tzeentch has halberds). And Tzeentch, it is a stretch: He needs to supplement its forces with Flamers and/or Soul Grinders for that extra ooomf, and paying for shields on something that doesn't break from combat is resources wasted.
Khorne dual weapons and Slaanesh's whips, while excellent at what they do, just don't cut it against tougher opponents. Bring Chaos Undivided great weapon infantry at the very least.

My last 3 or 4 games have all been a dwarf end-game crisis. It's getting pretty tedious. And no, I don't have that as the only selection for endgame scenarios. It's just the one that keeps coming up.
Aspiring champions definitely not a "teir 3" unit lol. Such a good unit.

Why would you even take that kind of Chaos Army into battle against Dwarfs? That lack of armor piercing makes those infantry almost useless against Dwarfs. At least have some AP cavalry to deal damage or something.

i hate the auto resolve its basically useless i don't even know why it's a thing.
it says defeat a lot and i walk through the fights on battlefield it's so annoying it just wastes time -_-
i think it's there to just force ppl to do the in-game battles fair enough but i wish it was more accurate. I'm just saying :P

early army losses has nothing to do with time played in the battle, but inflicting the army losses when the enemy still has a lot of fighting force left.
why not melee the copters with the sroceror. theyre crap in melee
He's crap in melee too. His health is weighted more than the gyrocopters' health in terms of balance of power. So he'd win the fight but lose overall balance.
he just need one of those armor piercing monster in the slaanesh army. that army only has anvils and no armour piercing vs dwarf makes the entire thing a slog. just one or two giant in that big fight would make big difference
