Sophomore 6’4 254 lbs
Oregon DE Kayvon Thibodeaux entered college as the No. 1 player in the country & he backed up all the hype. He’s almost a lock to be drafted in the top 5 & could very well be the 1st overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Thibodeaux is a freakish athlete who is so quick to get by offensive linemen. People have listed him with superstars in Chase Young, Jadeveon Clowney, Von Miller, Khalil Mack & Aaron Donald in terms of dominance. That’s high praise & it’ll be up to Kayvon to back it up. He’s still just getting started & there is no limit to his potential.

Finally we the New York Giants did something right we pick up the best DE in the draft Kayvon Thibodaux and the best OT Evan Neal
Amen brother this couldn't have gone any better for the Giants I recently saw a stat sheet that rated the pass rushers by percentage of impactful pressures and Kayvon Thibodeaux was number two on the list as the most impactful in terms of quarterback pressures! Evan Neal has the versatility that the Giants need because he can play either tackle position and guard. Ikem Ekwonu has only played LT and doesn't match the Giants needs.
Kayvon Thibodeau is also Stout against the run and has a high motor and great speed to power as well as sideline to sideline speed! I'm beyond excited if you can't tell!

This feeling made up for the feeling that we endured for years ago when we drafted Daniel Jones passing up on the best pass rusher in the draft in the process. Hopefully Jones can prove himself this year otherwise we're moving on next year.

Reason he is unique
- He reads snap and burst out fast, D-Line didnt even move and he's one step out
- He knows how to get out of contact and tackle outside run.
- He's FAST for an EDGE. with tall and long arms
5:33 He tackled tackler and then tackled RB behind. what a monster
He's had some awful games too - check the Stanford game - he was lost... yes, he showed he's lightning at times, but he's also been manhandled and lost on many plays that aren't run right at him. Just want to make sure everyone knows this is not LAWRENCE TAYLOR. Great potential and a good draft pick @ 7, especially since until a week before the draft, it was between HIM and NEAL as to who the best player in draft was!?!

Happy with this pick if someone can get through to him to improve his work ethic and drive to finish plays where he doesn’t win a matchup immediately. He has so much raw talent. If he’s properly coached up and is patient with his own development, he could be unstoppable. His speed and snap count anticipation are very impressive.

People have created a narrative that just because he has other interests including football that he doesn't have drive and commitment to bwing a good or great player, which is a bogus blanket statement. There are tons of examples in everyday life of people with several interests they can give maximum effort to.

Hutchinson at #1 overall makes sense; he's probably the safest pick for #1 and has an incredibly high floor and good leadership ability. But the fact that KT is being rumored to drop, even out of the top 10, for "character concerns" is ridiculous. Teams that pass on him will likely regret it, as he has all the physical tools and drive, despite what people say, to be great. Just because he has interests outside of football doesn't mean he doesn't care just as much about football, he obviously does or he wouldn't have had the success he's had thus far.

He reminds me of Josh Allen from the Jags which puts him near the very top of the league as far as his first step and ability to rip past offensive tackles. I see some comps to Mules Garrett too which I think is a decent comp but KT has less bend and isn't quite as big. He should be a really good player as long as he stays focused and healthy.
He's more of von Miller type just a bit bigger and more explosive .. only difference von Miller technique was almost flawless for some his age coming out of college
