Great video! So I have a monitor next to my desk that shows me multiview (as an input coming of my videohub) Would there be a way to make macros that switch which input is routed to the output for my monitor? That way if I want to see a specific camera (since the multiview is tiny) I can software patch a different input to that output. Thanks man

  • @CaptivatemediaAuStudio

Thanks for the video, really useful software! Having a hard time trying to find a CUT in the presets. Is a macro the only way for this to work?

Is it possible to add a record button on the streamdeck, that records on an attached Blackmagic Hyperdeck?

Hello Jay, Thanks for the spot-on video tutorial I enjoyed it and most of it worked as advertised. My only difficulty was/is with Macro #1 you referred to would be a CUT. I have the ATEM Constellation and everything worked as you described except for that Macro 1 button. Can you or any reader offer me an assist with this? I am running both Sreamdeck XL (32) and Streamdeck (15). Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t have companion in front of me currently , but try looking in another preset folder in companion. If I remember cut was not in the macro section .

I like how you are using two streamdecks. Can you elaborate more on using two at the same time?
What if i want multiple pages on both? I'm wondering if it's now all even pages are the 2nd streamdeck?
What if i wanted to have three or more streamdecks attached? I actually have legitimate use cases for wanting three, but just knowing if i can get multiple pages for just two is more helpful.
I would try this myself, but i don't have my streamdecks yet. Cheers.

currently a bit tired, its just pages. You can have several stream decks hooked up - go into companion and assign your buttons per page, then select that page on the stream deck you want.

@KINETICPROFESSIONALS so I can say, reserve pages 1-10 for Streamdeck 1. And have Streamdeck 2 looking at 11-20 ? Each streamdeck would be able to see the other pages as well, it's just the pages each of the physical units are looking at?

Hi I am looking to set up my system and I am having problems with the static ip adress and hooking atem with companion to streamdeck. I am looking for 1 on 1 help and would like to set up appointment if that is something you do. Thank you

Like dozens of others who made a video about this exact thing, also you forgot the first steps. First of all you start your video and companion is already on your computer. Second companion asks a few questions at setup the first time. Why on earth every freaking one making a video about this, does not start with that companion setup. Now I wasted another 3 minutes to find out that also you did not start at the beginning. Thumbs down

    • @KINETICPROFESSIONALS
      @KINETICPROFESSIONALS  Před rokem

no problem.- I can probably walk you through starting companion. Apologies, I guess I wrongly assumed most were already working with companion - Thats why this is not a " how to use companion from the start" video. Again, I do care - What questions do you have? More than happy to help.

@@KINETICPROFESSIONALS Thank you for your kind reply to my frustrated reaction yesterday. Much respect for that. The main questions I have are what to do when first using companion as it asks a bunch of questions at first start:
      1. Use companion natively.... or Use comapnion via streamdeck software??
      2. Should I enable/disable X-keys?
      3. Should I enable/disable Loopdeck?
      4. remote control surfaces. a list of things I can enable/disable is shown?
      The another question:
Do I need to download and install stream deck software? I now only installed companion.
It already seems to work. The Atem is recognized and I managed to create a button on which the atem reacts. However the stream deck does not show changes made on the atem but that could also be the result of not yet programmed buttons/responses. Or do I need stream deck software installed for both directions communication between atem extreme and the stream deck? Thank you for your time.
