You never have eaten spam and now you did, it’s like seeing something and you can’t unsee it
My Dad was a 30 year USAF Officer, 17 of those years as a Pilot and Squadron Leader. Spam was a huge staple in our home because there were 6 kids and the "meat" was economical! We kids LOVED Spam! My Parents have since gone to Touch The Face Of God. I have No Doubt both would LOVE this video...especially Mom because she loved to experiment with "Dishes" and we kids really looked forward to what surprises she made for us! Love hanging out with you all. Always feels like a Family Reunion and that might sound cheesy but I'm quite sure I'm not the only Fan who feels this way! The Cicada's "chatting" outside in the background made this visit even better! Blessings from up the road in COW-lumbus! MOO and Keep Strutting!
We appreciate you sharing this with us! Please do feel free to share this recipe with your mom and dad, and enjoy! 🙇♂️
@@TheBeardedButchers ... I think when he said " My Parents have since gone to Touch The Face Of God." He meant they've since passed away ?? He may not be able to share the recipe w/them ??
@@TheBeardedButchers Welp...what I meant by "They have gone to touch the Face Of God" is a Military saying they have left our Earthly Bonds. No worries...I'm sharing this video with my siblings and my oldest sister already told me she Loves this idea! Cheers
@@stephboeker7835 All good Steph and I appreciate the back up! Mom and Dad would have a good laugh over this too! They were pretty hip for their ages! Cheers!
Yes I love Spam as well. Remember in times of conflict Spam kept our brave soldiers on the front line fit and healthy. It’s amazing what dishes you can make with spam. Sandwiches, spam, egg and fries, spam with vegetables, stew it, fry it, oven bake it, it’s so versatile😋
Never expected a spam video from you boys. Glad you guys experimented. It looks great
The unpredictable Bearded Butchers 🧔
Thanks for this great idea guys. We just made over 60 lbs. of Bam... Spam+Bambi=Bam. It is the family's new favorite. God bless you and your family.
Mannnn, your guys' family is awesome! I wouldn't mind more behind the scenes content of the Bearded Butcher fam butchering, cooking, eating, or even just gathering together. Wish my family would do more things together.
The recipe looks great too! Hope I manage to get a deer this year. Haha.
And great editing and camera work in the recent videos. You have really leveled up your skills! The quality shows.

Very creative and informative guys, thanks!
Looks delicious guys, makes my mouth water, I sure could’ve used that grinder for venison
Summer Sausage as lunchmeat... might have to try the Deer Spam.
This was a great video. One of my favorites you guys have done. God bless!
Nice to hear that, Brian! Feel free to drop more suggestions on what we should cover next 😉
Good video! I wish youtube and you guys would have been around 40 years ago when I got into doing my own butchering and processing!!! Thanks for the video!

Thanks for giving us your support, Clayton!
Good morning..good to see you this am. Take care..much love
Kicking it up a notch! Nice work!
Looked awesome. I had already planned on giving this a try this deer season as well as with pork when we butcher hogs this winter. Thanks for the tutorial.
Have fun with it and best of luck!
Test run...THIS WEEK! Awesome guys. I leave everything whole muscle when I work up a deer or elk. Figure out later what I want to do with it. Repurposing wild game is exactly where it's at! Truly want to make the trip to your shop/store to meet you and take home your table-fare.
Good luck! Tell us how it goes 😉
Great job guys!
Well? I missed seeing this video and am watching after your video yesterday of making deer BACON. Yup, you now have me diving head first into all the freezers doing my fall clean out of all our game meat, pork and beef to try these interesting ways to use it up! SPAM or DAM, I am sure we can make it all taste great. Thanks for the inspiration!
That is an excellent idea!!! Looks outstanding.
Great! Thanks!
You guys got my taste buds kicking each other's asses 😂🤣 man you guys don't play and you know what you guys are as good as anybody in the business. And in my eyes you guys are better because you do it all. Love you guys the channel man I was in and out of it this morning watching the podcast. Is setting everything up for the future generation of your family that's what's up. You guys have a great one it's always good being on here ❤️💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Awesome guys , looks absolutely delicious
So good!
I could see my self eating that venison style spam and eating it on a cracker with my home made habanero jelly👌🏻 thanks for sharing Seth and Scott 🤘🏻
That would be the best 👌
That'll be something to try.
I love Spam as a shelf life product to use in a pinch. I have a casserole recipe from WWII my mother use to make! I make it at least once a year because it reminds me of her
Wow, share your mother's casserole recipe with the group please! :)
@@TheBeardedButchers I will! It is called Busy Day Casserole: 1 can Spam diced in half inch or smaller pieces, 1 (15 oz)can whole kernel corn drained, 1 can cream of mushroom soup undiluted, 2 tsp finely chopped onion, 1 tsp yellow mustard, 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 & 1/2 cups of crushed Premium cracker crumbs, 3 Tbsp butter. Mixed all the ingredients together except butter. Place in a glass casserole, dot with butter. Bake 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until brown on top. Note: can be very salty so as Ive gotten older I use low sodium spam and lightly salted crackers. My mother found this recipe in a WWII ration book. Says it serves a family of four.
@@jenniezimmermann3356 Nice recipe, you could also reduce sodium by using a substitute for the cream of mushroom. There's a lot of sodium in the regular stuff, over 2000mg! There should be low sodium options otherwise if you're ambitious, made from scratch.
@@pseudocoder78 Spam does make a low sodium version. I usually make my own cream of mushroom. I am very careful about sodium also! I also have used the low sodium heart healthy cr of mushroom soup
Love to see the prayer at the end! Great work guys!
Thank you!
Very cool! We get crop damage permits to shoot deer from 4th of July until September 30th. I will definitely be trying this sometime in the next couple of weeks. Thanks guys! Looking forward to the next video!
Wow, that's awesome! I wish you the best of luck and hope you have a wonderful time!
Love everything you boys do! I'm doing this recipe. Deer camp in November in S. Ohio won't be the same. Cook Cowboy. Can't wait!!!
Sounds great!

Awesome idea, and awesome video as always. I don’t care for spam, but definitely going to make this. So glad you added the pray in at the end! Keep up the great work guys, and best of luck in the woods this year to all…⚓️
You are so welcome!
Your on to something here. Sending this to my family and friends in Hawaii. Mahalo!
Maholo! 🙏
I will DEFINILTY Be trying this one!!! Love eggs and SPAM...so this should be an easy substitute. And....like you have said in the end of this video....this is an easy way to get venison trim into a quick meal that is ready to go!
Perfect for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 👌
@@TheBeardedButchers so here is a question im curious about.....can this be taken on a backpack hunt without refrigeration for a few days because it was cooked and cured? Similar to a summer sausage? Deer rifle season opens in a few weeks here, and this is the first recipe on my list! I looked to see if I had any grind left from last year and im all out...LOL
I have lots of red/fallow/roe venison in my freezer waiting to be converted into this, thanks chaps. I will try a bit coated in batter then fried, can't wait!
Hello there👋👋,how are you doing today?hope you’re having a good day?God bless you!❤️

Awesome video again. I'll say it again, I had no idea that I was interested in butchery before I found this channel. Damn.
Welcome aboard!
Awesome Guys can’t wait to see more of these videos
No problem! Any suggestions on what we should do next? 😏
Yes I made one on the very first video of y’all going live it’s “Deer Bacon” and I think y’all said you were going to do this second I Luv to Elk hunt but what’s the best way to get the meat out of the woods Thanks
I'm going to try this!!!
Enjoy! 🔥🔥🔥
In my family we always joked that Spam was short for "something posing as meat" 😆
🤣 We kids always fought over who got to use that Magic Key around the outside of the can to pop the top off! Great Memories! Cheers
@@TheStuport oh my gracious, I forgot about the key lol.
@@gypsymomma3470 🤣Loved your acronym of Spam that you and your family used! Hilarious!! I do remember my oldest brother always calling it Cat Food...but he ate the most of it too! LOLOL Have a Great Weekend and don't worry about up coming Moan-Day...we need them to complete a week!😅 Cheers From Ohio
@@TheStuport Thank you, you have a spectacular weekend as well!! ✌️ from PA.
Im going to try that this season. October 1st can't get here quick enough. Lol
I can't wait to try it later this, week!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy! 😊
I love your guy's videos
Thanks for watching, Mark! Which video's your favorite right now? 😉
You guys are awesome and I love deer meat and spam and I can only imagine how it taste!😋😋😋🥰🤩
Perfect time to try it, Eddie 😉
@@TheBeardedButchers Thank you so much for this recipe and it's almost deer season!
Good stuff!
THE BEST VIDEO YET
We're honored 💯
Looks delicious
Ok
Pretty cool! Could still see some air voids/pockets in the final product - is there any way you could 'pipe' it in to the pans to avoid that, or the mix is too coarse for that? Still a great way to use deer & shows it is more versatile than you think!
Just visited your store! Visiting friends in PA and took a trip to see the retail location and buy some meat. Beautiful store and great selection!
So cool! Were you also able to pick up some of our blends? 😉
@@TheBeardedButchers yes indeed! I had ordered some online for my home in NC a couple weeks ago, and I picked up four of the seasoning blends to leave with my friends in PA ❤️
Simmenthal beef in a can we had that’s the Italian canned meat version very good
Damn! That's some great looking meat, I was like 'WoW' when you guys cut a skice of that Dam! 🔥
I love spam. Grow up with it cooked or just a sandwich. Still eat it and love it. What a great idea with other meats.
Hard to pay attention with this awesome beards ❤ love the recipe btw 🎉
Thanks! 😃
Buen trabajo
What are your thoughts on jarring and using a canning process to cook
God is good! Need to get me some of that Deer Spam! That looks delicious 😋 thanks for another awesome video.
Super guys!
👏
Super video My brothers ❤️❤️
Having a stack of those pre sliced in the freezer would be so great for a quick breakfast
100% agree with you 💯Plus, it's super good, too
Spam is delicious, that Dam looks tasty. I use spam cubed up and tossed into scrambled egg with hashbrowns and saracha. Bet yours would taste even better.
That sounds good to eat!
Man sometimes I wonder what a boxing match would be like with y’all lol
My brother in law does something very similar to this with some of his venison grind, he makes a meat loaf like this with seasoning and cure agent, but in a wider shallower pan. Then he smokes the loaf, and slices it thin to make "venison bacon". It's really tasty and the slices freeze well in a vaccum pack. It's good fried in a pan but even better over a campfire in the morning. Unlike pork bacon it holds onto its fat so it can be cooked on a grill or over open fire. (Edit: then I watch the next video, how to make venison bacon 🤦♂)
The Bearded Butchers never disappoint
😁
We're humbled, Michael! 🙏 Thanks for trusting us!
Awesome video and great information definitely inspiring to us we have tried new ways with our wild game thank you!! Just call it “Speer “ 🤣🤣
I have learned so much about meat from your videos
That's great, Jennie! Which one's your favorite Meat Video so far?
@@TheBeardedButchers when you butchered a cow laying out the cuts explaining where each cut comes from. Also loved you had a arm roast bone in. My favorite roast
Thanks for the idea and tutelage. I’m making some jalapeño DAM.
absolutely epic on this one guys. without me asking you all solved my lunch meat question for deer. though on the question for lunch meat, what would be a good cut to use for it?
I admit I wasn’t expecting a video like this either, but I’d give it a shot too. Is it October yet? Need to get in the woods now!
Epic. Dam. Coming to grocery near you. 😋
HELL YEAH, I LOVE SPAM. THE DAM MUST BE INCREDIBLE.
Sure is! Give it a go and let us know your thoughts 😉
@@TheBeardedButchers Absolutely will, Thank You.
Well you guys out did yourself again that looks amazing I think I would even eat that. 👍💕
😁
It's a must-try 👌
@@TheBeardedButchers heck yeah, what a good way to use venison beef pork whatever you have and throw it together that has to be really really good😁
Brock lesnar A Massive Fan I Am This is A Hell of A CZcams channel And it Just Taught me A Shitload about Farming and butchering skills 🔥👏 Hope y'all continue to Blow up on CZcams
I didn't know that you could make SPAM with dear meet! Sounds like a great idea!
It is, and you should try it! Deer spam for the win! 🔥
Definitely an American Classic!
Speaking of Doe (dough) I use balls of bread to clear the last of the meat from my grinder. Store bought bread. Homemade bread tastes too good to waste like that. I have to hand it to you, you made SPAM (DAM?) look appetizing. The ice trick is a keeper! I've used a little cold water but hadn't thought or heard of using ice before now.
Get a vintage well-bilt bread machine, best ever.
Possibly pressure can it from raw for shelf stability?
Another great product to use extra deer meat for. I wonder if Bison, Elk, or Mule Deer would do just as well with this same procedure?
Great option for hunters to use there trimmings and make a great sandwich meat.God bless guys .
Yes indeed!
