Freezing the can or case will shrink it and heat will expand it. You should heat the can and the freeze the bearings you can then put them in by hand without a hammer.

Man, all that time I spent in a shop I was using heat all the wrong way to expand metal... I like to use a wood or plastic dowel, those motor magnets like to grab anything metal. Great Job man!!!!!

Thanks! I didn't have a dowel like that, but it would be a lot better!

@@rcinhand9671 Home improvement/hardware store.. My wife used my dowel a few years ago to mix paint... I have not gone to get another one. I keep forgetting about it as I don't pull bushing or bearing much anymore.

    Nicely done ✅
I always done it the other way around heat the outer part and freeze the inner part .🤔

Great video and one that shows how fiddly it can be (rather than editing out) fitting the bearings and fighting with magnets as they just a bit strong! I will probably by this motor soon, would you recommend replacing the bearings as soon as?

Yes, upgrade it soon after getting it. There was a definite performance upgrade, just not as much as most people think. The benefit is the bearings last longer, and cooler than bushings.
I suggest using a wooden post instead of something metal like I did, to avoid the trouble I had.

@@rcinhand9671Thanks for the reply and the tip :) I didn't even consider there would be a performance increase but have read about the better longevity and heat benefits.
