The Deathwatch did nothing wrong …
All signs point to Agents of the Imperium 😞
Can Deathwatch pretty please get an update?
1. Discounts on Kill Teams or Deathwatch specific stuff would be nice.
2. The Corvus Blackstar's transport rule: does it allow you to carry a Kill Team larger than 12 slots?
@2. yes, it does. Otherwise the "or a kill team unit" part would be 100% superfluous.
Yes it can Carry 12 models OR 1 Killteam
KT can be up to max models, capacity rule is not applied to as long as it is specifically a KT of any flavor. This includes Leader being attached to the KT
@@elricdotah this seems obvious, but some TO's won't acknowledge it and block putting an Indomitor KT in a Corvus for instance.
@@pand3mikdon't play there then. A TO who can't even read simple rules shouldn't be supported running a tournament.
There is NOTHING ambiguous in that sentence.
Can't believe Deathwatch didn't get any adjustments. You guys really think these point values make sense?
Its really sad that DW didnt get any improvements.. :/
Deathwatch kinda needs some help, especially the Killteams (KT). Our terminators cost so much extra now for the privilege of flexible/extra wargear. The bolt stratagems, whilst very cool, need to be built around to make work. And the Primaris KTs cost so much for something that is essentially superseded by the generic units. Seriously, we need some rules buffing, or some distinct points cuts.
Could Deathwatch get a bit of love? Been a Deathwatch main since I started playing in 9th, but other than very early 10th we've felt a bit forgotten
Going with my DW family here, we are definitely needing a boost here. KTs need a points cut or something else to make all of them viable not just Proteus
Nothing for deathwatch? We are the least played and the worst on victories... And nothing was done to help us.
Deathwatch need an update to be viable under 10th. Right now they are in a terrible position.
Necrons need toning down, especially the C'Tan and a number of their buff characters.
Deathwatch kill teams still sitting at too high a price, especially at the base 5 man unit. Bolt weapons also still missing some obvious bolt weapons from the list, like the heavy bolter (even though the infernus heavy bolter is on the list), and the deathwatch terminators are now like 30 points on average more expensive than other marine terminators. Also the veterans and bikers are still stuck with using the standard bolter stat line or a combi-weapon so our unique veteran characters don't even get to have veteran equivalent ranged weapons. Melee weapons are on par at least. Though I really miss vanguard veterans with heavy thunder hammers, had a whole squad of those last edition.
Really sad Deathwatch didnt got anything... I was sad last rules update black spear wasnt changed but again at least point drops would have been nice for our overpriced units...
Deathwatch ignored again. Come on guys - Kill Teams especially need some attention!
As a player rejoining after a very long break im confused about the treatment of Deathwatch. Ive gone in heavy on an army as lore-wise they are very cool but points cost wise its to the point of not being able to win a game. Kill Teams are way over points cost. Let us play Deathwatch as Deathwatch - not generic SM that the points make more sense for. Is the idea to knock down DW before the inevitable folding it into Agents of Imperium?
As a deathwatch player. The BSTF detachment and the points for the DW specific units need love
I believe that death watch units needed some survivability if they get points upgrade cause they are glass cannons, i play against them and they usually kill a unit or damage it really good but die immediately even with the 6+ feel no pain. Ctan points update seems only fair and also the technomacer increase is a really good idea since wraiths alone don't do much, good call! Hope we see more of those. Please bring Badrukk back ( we can wait for our kaptin) , Cheers
deathwatch 6+ feel no pain?
Feel like Deathwatch are still paying a but too much for Killteams, maybe a discount could boost their win rate?
Pls give deathwatch points updated 😭😭😭😭
Looks like you did not even bother to bring Deathwatch terminators inline with the points reductions of the rest of the space marines. Why did you ignore the poor performance of Deathwatch?
Honestly it's kinda bizzare how they just ignore easy wins like small points drops for Deathwatch. Would it fix the faction? No, but it'd be something.
100%, Deathwatch needs some help, if you look at their winrate from the last 12 weeks they are at 40%. Clearly under the target of 45%. They need some price drops for sure, if not a rules update.
Whats going on with Deathwatch?
Ad Mech is "almost" a horde army??? That ship has sailed and sunk a long time ago!
Deathwatch need love. Why the silence?
Deathwatch, Admech, Tyranids need more attention. Not in points but actual index changes
Points changes would at least be a start...
Bro, don't forget about codex space marines. We suck compared to everyone, at the same level as deathwatch
So uhh, no Deathwatch? Every marine variant got them but us?
Admech players have languished since their codex released. Please release these new rules you have planned early.
You certainly had enough information to know the codex wasnt going to fix things. It should not take another quarter of a year to shift some numbers around. This is ridiculous
05:55-06:05 "If we just keep hitting their points, it will change their style to play, they will become a horde army, which is not suppose to be."
FINALLY SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT'S HAPPENING IN ADMECH🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️Please DO make some significant changes, we NEED it🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great with win-rates.. Are you looking at how many players there is on each fraction?
thanks for admitting that admech is "becoming" a horde army. Even though they hordier-than-horde right now.
Deathwatch where?
Tyranids hopefully get a rules update in summer, main thing is to increase the strength across the board
Why do you dislike Reivers and Aircrafts so much?
especially reivers. Such a cool unit from a looks perspective, so disappointing to play.
Please don’t forget the deathwatch or be so kind and give us some information about where the journey with the desthwatch is going ❤
Or even better... Both.
Sad that Admech rules didn't get touched but at least GW acknowledged they need to be fixed.
Deathwatch exists.
We too have terminators and hellblasters in the killteams!
So disappointed with Deathwatch falling on deaf ears and not getting correct points for 5 man kill teams, inconsistent dataslates, no points reductions in the last 2 points updates…
Did all Deathwatch players group up in the comments or what? Never seen this many Deathwatch players in one place.
AdMech needs those new rules asap
I feel as tough the Tyranids are struggling A LOT. Given how many players play with the faction rn and how little they show up in the tops of tournaments (almost not at all), with some rudimentary understanding of statistics one could deduce that major changes are needed, beyond a points decrease.
Please, don't just make the admech lower points. We really don't want a horde army.
5:58 "If we just keep hitting their points, it'll change the style of their play. *They'll become almost a horde army, which is not what they're supposed to be.* So, we've given them some points updates here, but we want to let Admech players know that's not the only solution. *We are also, right now, in the process of testing some rules adjustments we want to make in the summer update."*
It's too late for that, Vanguard horde has been the best Ad Mech strat for months. They're not for shooting, they clog the board and win objective control. Ad Mech is already a horde army, not "almost a horde army if we lowered points even more."
I really think the balance dataslate meeds to be quaterly. Rules chages twice a year is not enough it does not take that long to see that Dark Angels and Admech codexes are not fun to play
The Ad Mech play style has already changed. The strat is to put so many Vanguard on the table, it's impossible for the enemy to kill enough to win objectives, which is what a horde army does. Ad Mech is a horde army. What else could it be? It's factually not a shooting army.
Red and green is not a good choice for about 10% of players. Some of us are colour blind.
That's why they also have littke arrows
Fair, and yeah, I agree. I think that's also why they have the arrows pointing up or down next to anything that changed
So I don't overly agree with the hit to Death Company, yes they are taking advantage of free wargear but currently they are a lower win percentage, so unless say Sanguinary Guard or other iconic Blood Angels units get a buff then that just hurts an army that's kinda been struggling this edition
Exactly. Blood Angels are still below their target point. And that little bit of boost is due to that one Death Company with Lemartes squad. Otherwise they would be at the bottom. Why nerf the one thing that is working? Further, it is not even Blood Angels that are performing... Those armies that have done slightly better are just Space Marine armies spamming Vindicators, Lances, Redeemers, Aggressors and such, using the Gladius Task force but played as Blood Angels to get access to a squad of DC with Lem.
Good to see they recognise that points changes aren’t the only things one armies (admech) need
Yeah Admech needs a little help
Tyranids need higher strength weapons and more consistent damage across the board. Why do all the tyranid big bugs other than the haruspex hit like wet noodles in melee? Rupture cannon roulette is also not fun.
Looking forward to internal balancing and curious how the dev team will tackle underperforming detachments.
Just wanna point out, if someone's colour blind or having trouble seeing the red and green (down or up , there are also arrows next to it)
Something I don't have to worry about as daemons, cause it's all gray :I
Bring the imperial knights bondsman ability back please!!!!
I understand bumping points on C’tan and some others, but not touching units that really needed points decreased like warriors, Cryptothralls, and doom scythes is very disappointing.
I think it's a positive step to explain the thought process for changes more, and look to the future and discuss upcoming changes to AdMech. However, some of these decisions are crazy. How are Blightlord Terminators still so expensive, while Helbrutes take a cut and Typhus remains such a bargain? Death Guard have been absolutely cooked all edition.
I’d happily take a 10 pts bump on every unit in the admech codex if they gave some love to the datasheets in it.
Any word on when we can expect matched play mission updates? I'm tired of capture enemy outpost on turn 1.
RIP Grot Tanks
Happy to see the change to Inner Circle Companions! At 90 Points they seem now like a usable option next to bladeguard. The Terminators are quite cheap now too. Its really time for the Tau points though!
What I really wanna see though is the Non-Codex-Compliant Chapters with Supplement (only DA currently) to lose Access to the regular Marine Detachements. The Codex-compliant Marines need a reason to play them.
@@henninggrabbert2835 I like this idea - but they'd probably super buff the codex specific ones. Or maybe if you include any dark angel unique units, you lose access to them, for example. So if you want to play ironstorm, you don't get to bring a darkshroud, or azrael (though you could play him as a chapter master). I like that version of the change.
I have an idea on how to solve an issue with "free gear" like one that as said here Death Company has. How about make gear cost points?
Death Company were just finneeee I thought this was a balance dataslate, not a sales pitch ontop of lemartes being 120 point… for 4 wounds…
Why wasn’t the Furioso or most characters not down in points
my question is why did you bump Necron Immortal points up, but not drop Necron Warriors! 😭
The reason why people were taking huge blobs of Immortals was because Warriors suck for their points, they just weren't worth taking.
It would sure be nice to see something done for Deathwatch.
I'm really happy that Ruststalkers got a point reduction but still waiting for real buffs.
I appreciate the fast format, keeping on topic and talking fast. Well done to get it at the 10 minute marker, I know that can be difficult to pull off.
Just make Kastelans good again or let us use the 30k Mechanicum robots. Before we turn into a true horde army.
Thank God for rules adjustments for admech. Just in time for me to be gone for the entire summer, but at least I have something to look forward to lmao
Where win rates?
If they would show them, deathwatch would clearly show as below 45% and they would clearly show that they aren't doing their job.
Tyranid points could drop by a lot more and it wouldn't really fix them, they need to be a bit more lethal with their attacks to work as units you want to take to a game in order to engage your opponent units and not units you move around to score points
The entire codex is being carried by the biovore and gargoyles, all units feel weak outside of scoring points they need to buff the other units strength or AP for them to be units you want to use to fight the other player army data sheet updates feel necessary at this point
When will the point changes be reflected on the app? Thanks
They already did just need to update your app
Increasing points on death company is wild
Can commissars return the orders that was given to the unit if it uses the summary execution ability
Thank you for the video, it was an interesting watch.
One question if I may (as it wasn't addressed in the video) : why isn't the team focusing on finally making BIG chaos knights viable again, like in 9th edition (even though they weren't that great)? The only competitive lists at the moment literally spam war dogs which means that...well...chaos knights armies don't really use chaos knights at the moment?
Isn't that big enough of a problem to want to buff them one way or the other?
Thank you.
Can Obeisance Phalanx get some love like The Silent King getting Triarch Keyword and adding Noble Keyword to the Detachment! Please.
I like this guy. the studio should just be grander
Why weren’t the tau points updated? If orks and custodes points were tweaked and the codex’s are out this coming weekend it can’t be because the book hasn’t officially released yet.
They actually explain this in this video. Tau points will be updated when their codex comes out, day 1
codex comes out for pre order this or next week.
Great explanations and great to see how thoughtful the adjustments are.
As if the ork stomper has stayed at 800pts 🤷♂️ it should be brought down massively
Exactly! I bought a stompa because I love the model, but seeing that I can’t use it without the game being a huge joke is ridiculous
I'll never be able to play this game. But that feels like GW'S narrative since I've come to understand the concept of WARHAMMER🎉
For the love of god please revert the hierodule points hikes. I'm begging here. 330 points for the scythed is insane and I just know that you guys are gonna legends them in 11th god damn it. They're already super expensive models to buy and were hardly played at 305 points even... just let us have fun with them before you take them away forever.
Please return 10 man deathwing knights squad
Point decrease for admech, that's what they needed 😅
None of these points drops really touch the units already being taken in most lists (excluding robots lists), only the ones not being taken. Some top lists have even gone up in points now with the changes to imperial agents. This seems like purely internal points change not external at all.
Got my introductory set and im HOOKED. Have not even begun reading rules yet it’s been all building, all painting, all while listening to 40K lore on youtube. Going to see a guy about a Redemptor Dreadnought in a couple hours. Good stuff!
now if we could just get the cards online.
Harlequins index when?
I was sad the wraithknight wasn't reduced lol But I am absolutely loving this new GW and releases with explinations
2 balance updates a year is just not good enough. There should be more, smaller updates instead of waiting 6 months between changes.
Whoever finally approved the actual color-coding should have a model named after them. It's 2024; finally!
O comments? Really?
Please don’t send yvarha to legends I just got one 😭
I gotta disagree about Guard guys. You're calling it an oppressive faction (coming close to the S tier meme) and asking if nerfs are going to be enough. The meta Monday from 4/22/24 shows that Guard has a 12 week win rate of 45%, and guard arguably had 1 good archetype, which is eating ~100 point increase to the list. 5 man scion squads do not fit the same list role as Kasrkin, nor is a 5 man scion squad likely to be worth spending 2 CP on reinforcements. The Leman Russ changes are kind of nice, but its 10 points here and there. The faction needs a new detachment. Rules pointing to wanting you to play things like Manticores and then making them 190 points is silly. Rough riders may be cheap enough to abuse with reinforcements now, or using reinforcements on 10 man scion kill squads, but the rules don't really support that other than cheesy reinforcements. Guard really only has cheese.
Been playing Admech since 7th and its currently is the most unfun ive had playing 40k. Extreamly grindy unsatisfying shooting that takes a year to roll. The 2/3rds of an "armywide rule" feel like 9th ed Tau, distintly un admechy. The detachment rules would be fine in any other army but are not strong enough to compensate for extreamly weak individual datasheets. Please do something involving passing out buffs with data teachers, you got it right in 9th ed and now its waisted wargear. It feels like IG and Admech switched roles. Now guard get a flexable system of buffs they can program their troops with, while admech throw hordes of chaff to die on objectives and not kill anything. Admech IS hord and have been that way for over a year yet we are the only horde faction without respawn mechanics. Orks, tyranids, guard necrons all get respawn mechanics and our troops are more flimsy and expendable than most of theirs factions. The main difference being that admech elites are also expendable chaff.
Lots of feedback on the internet if you just look, please listen to actuall admech players instead of whoever wrote the codex initially. It. Dosnt. Work.
Nice, just submitted my Death Guard list for a local league and I don’t need to adjust it! 😊
Lesgooooo Leman Russ buff baby a tankillion dollars!
Staggering points and data slate is a good idea,
Do an Underworlds Metawatch
Talk about Terminators next time, thank you.
Also consider giving Lion El'J his 2 damage sword again :3
ok
Gaming
Boo, my faction didn’t win the rules lottery this time around.
As a fan of the game, and a relatively new player, thank you for sharing this snapshot of the process.
e
Necrons point changes were too much on the void dragon and too extreme on nightbringer. They are models that need to be in close range to even do anything making them only auto include for hypercrypt so you can actually get them to do anything except just get shot dead or really low hp before they can even attack. They move 6" and cant go through walls making their 6" feel like a snail trying to complete a nascar lap.
The new necron meta will be 3x DDA, tesseract vault, and other high toughness vehicles with long range death for everyone. Congrats to all those whiners saying ctans were op because their meta lists couldnt kill it in one turn with units that cost less than it.
I no longer feel sorry for any other army that fights mine, it will all just be you dying at long range turn 1 & 2 for their big units and clean up on turn 3.
Woohoo I'm First!
First?
First
No changes to Questoris Chaos Knights? Seriously? Bro I don't wanna walk the dogs for the 32nd time.
