Watch, listen and learn how hand-crafted Baraka Shea Butter is made.
This video takes you through the entire process, starting in the wild shea forest and finishing with beautiful, hand-crafted shea butter. You can read a blog on it at barakasheabutter.com/blogs/ba...
Learn about the steps in the process and all the hard work that goes into making shea butter.
These next lines give you more information about Baraka Shea Butter - read them if interested.
What we hope you take away from this post more than anything is that you impact women, families and communities when you buy shea butter and that it is important to know the source of your shea butter.
It is so easy to have ‘raw and unrefined’ shea butter that was industrially processed, chemically extracted and all the income and impact ripped from the women and given to the factory. See more in this blog barakasheabutter.com/sheabutt...

We believe business can and should be a force for good so we pay a premium for their amazing shea butter and directly support projects in their communities.

“Give a man a fish he will eat for a day -teach a man to fish he will eat for the rest of his life”. They could teach several of the young ladies the business aspects of the company so that the Ghanaian women, who has been doing this for years and are the true founders, could operate the business themselves and receive more of the profits. Baraka are partners or distributors but definitely not founders or cofounders- they should change that.
If it was possible I would buy directly from the Ghanaian women.

I don't want anything from them but to see that they get every penny for their hard work. So these women and men can open up schools and much more.🥰❤❤🥰 I'm so sick of these opportunists doing this to people hard-working people like this. We also go directly to the community so they also do not need to carry their product to the market where it may not sell.
Baraka Shea Butter was started by Gifty Serbeh-Dunn, a Ghanaian, when the women in her home community asked her how they could earn an income. They thought it was something new. Not knowing it been used for centuries in west Africa and other African countries.

I don’t see these people as unfortunate but I see them as being blessed with an abiity to create something so amazing from natural resources! the fact that they are enabled to create an income and change so many of our lives through what they do is hella worth the amount of work they put into creating it. These peeps have smiles on there faces man, perhaps you should change your preception of what they are doing rather than pitying them. Well done to this community of hardworking women! Your amazing. Baraka Shea Butter was founded by Gifty Serbeh-Dunn, a Ghanaian, when the women in her home community asked her how they could earn an income. The rural communities are not set-up to run an online business selling their shea butter so this is why they asked Gifty to help.
