I have been working on this Tesla coil for ages , I plug it in for the first time today and WOW it worked first time and I haven't even tuned it yet . Then the magic smoke appears ........

are you using normal wire to controle the coil, when yes change it to fiber, it is not so dangerous.

I Just built a bigger one , i got the bug back again havent made a tesla coil for ages , its going to be over 7 foot tall , i get nervous standing next to it lol .
