I wonder if Jesus had a must have list for his prayer closet. I wonder if He had his favourite blanket with him when he was in the wilderness. I wonder if Paul the apostle was comfortable when he had a cold dark prison cell for his prayer closet. I wonder if the persecuted Christians in China have a pile of their favourite books in their prayer closet in a country where the bible is forbidden. Here is just another reason why Christianity is so weak and without effect in the west, people are so wrapped up with self that they have made the prayer closet about them, and what they can get from God, when really the prayer closet is about intimacy with God and getting to know who he is.
