I'm totally a retro Lightworker since I was 5 years old I was journaling about it! You finally verbalized everything that's been in my head. It is never about the job, it is always about a vision and a mission! The spark can never be lost :) Lots of love from Belgrade, Serbia!

Retro light worker. Thanks for your book, videos and email. Have always felt time was running out, even as a teen and now I am in my 50's! Didn't know anyone else who felt that way; didn't know that could be a "thing." Just thought I was weird. Thank you, thank you for figuring it out and GOING PUBLIC. Such a simple answer - yet it feels intuitively correct. Finding my path the socially acceptable way hasn't gotten me anywhere for decades. And I REALLY worked at it! No matter what I did, I seemed to end up feeling taken advantage of, drained, and unhappy. Excited to think I can just focus on what LIGHTS ME UP instead of getting more degrees, opening more businesses, reading more books, doing more volunteer work, etc.
Squeesplort , I know exactly what you are talking about. I guess it is a THING for some people. It always has been for me. Rebecca finally put a name on it. Phew, I finally eel sort of relieved, to follow what lights me up , instead of as you said, another credential, or more work to get somewhere ....instead of believing if I follow what lights me up ...I may be led there. Since I was a little child I always felt like I was meant for something bigger. I knew there is something for me out there, a special path. I have premonitory dreams since I was a child. I was raised by my grandparents in early childhood were very religious so I didn't have acces to spiritual stuff, but somehow I was talking about past lives and magic and I just knew there was something bigger than what the Church says, but I guess I didn't really said it out loud. When I grew up, at around 10 I started to open up my mind and discovered some of my hidden talents, also choose to let go of some programmings that my grandparents taught me and didn't serve me anymore. Then I met a wonderful person, my mother's work colleague. She is just so good with children, she used to be a teacher, and she showed me this spiritual path. I listened to her and took her advice, but never really went very deep in this, even though I felt that sometimes. My intuition was always very strong, especially those premonitory dreams became stronger and stronger. Than I discovered tarot readings 1,5 year ago. I was fascinated really. Than in May I started to learn how to read tarot, but didn't went very deep in spiritual things. The summer was amazing, but then things went crazy and I was very down at one point. That was basically the start of the spiritual awakening. I fell down and after less than 1 month I fully rised up and followed my intuition finally. At that point I was a pretty good tarot reader already. Now it has been 2 month since I am on my spiritual awakening process, learning and helping others to rise as I did. I am 15 by the way. My spirit guides sent me signs that I am a ligjtwotker and so here I am I guess, și grateful for being on this wonderful path. I am definitely a retro lightwotker. send all the love to all beings on Earth and in the Universe ❤️

I just started listening to your audio book today. I feel like I may be a retro light worker because I am now in a position, after homeschooling my daughters for the last 13+ years, where I am finding myself resisting the typical 9 to 5. There is something calling me to do the kind of work that improves lives. It seems that everything that lights me up doesn’t make any money. I’m drawn to non-profits, animal shelters, healing work, etc. I believe I was always meant to do something different. I feel like this might be the time to return to me.

I'm so freaking grateful for you and your book. It literally fell off the shelf for me and your words are speaking straight to my heart.
I went through an ED for 20 years and it was an addiction I took on board as I didn't want to feel the real feelings underneath it. My dream, and what I am doing now is working with Kids and Adults to change our language on ourselves and learn to be kind...so that we can be conscious humans and create a ripple effect of love, instead of constant comparison and judgement.
This dream doesn't come easy as its against all the grain of family and I had to make a choice to follow my heart and 'my calling' as you say it here.
I needed to hear this today as sometimes the ego can creep back in when things get tough, but I understand that fear is a gift and to keep following the light to see whats on the other side.

❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for this, Rebecca. I just had my “aha moment” and an answer to something that’s been occupying me for 40 years.
One of the dilemmas I have is that I can feel my ‘spirit guide’ or my deep consciousness thinks the best service I could do would be working as a litter picker or ground work gardener (digging holes and clearing out dilapidated places).. I walked past an older guy picking litter and emptying bins for the council.. as I walked past him I felt this huge energy of how blessed he was doing work that was out of doors, making the environment better for everyone, in the moment it was like a beautiful painting of the essence of reality of life.
The thing I can do a lot of because I love it is practising the piano..I can sit at a piano for 6 hours a day without ever having to motivate myself, surrounding myself with the great classical composers. I feel at home in the music, but I find the classical music world very alienating to me.l I used to practise in a church and the cleaner would be there whilst I practised and she would stop and tell me how beautiful it was.
I wish my audience was litter pickers, cleaners, sewage workers, hole diggers

Oh my gosh.....I have always had that feling that I have to find the RIGHT Job, Career, that I was supposed to be DOING!!! I haven't found it. But I do feel that I may be a Lightworker. You also verbalized what I have always I thought. I like what you said about , following what lights you up. For example I took Level 1 Reiki....I was just beaming for a couple weeks, then I got caught up in the "Can I make a Living at this thoughts," etc. But now I know there must have been something there. I think I shall go back and re-examine that. For example I work in a job that others say , "Oh you must feel so good around all those senior citizens, and what fun". Well I don't, and I am burnt out big time. Sure I care for seniors but it absolutely does not light me up. Well I am glad I found you .

I guess I’m a retro...for years I was obsessed by “finding my purpose”, feeling frustrated because I couldn’t figure it out. One day when I was feeling particularly frustrated about this I had this “insight”... like a message in my head saying “your life is your purpose, everything you do is part of your purpose. There is nothing to find, just be it”. That was back in 2012 or 13...not sure when exactly but since then I have stopped trying to find my purpose and I have just focused in my personal growth. The idea of finding my purpose or discovering what I’m doing here is no longer relevant to me.

Thank you so much for this - you described my feelings and thoughts spot on to the word (I'm a retro lightworker). What I have trouble grasping is how exactly we can make the world a better place by any type of job, just by putting light and love into it. I tend to compare myself to devoted climate- and human rights activists and feel like I'm not strong enough to do what they're doing (because I get so drained by being constantly aware of the state of the world), and that my sacred purpose (I think I've heard the call), however much I love doing it, isn't as important to the healing of the world as the work they're doing. I guess I have a highly rational side that need to see concrete results to believe that I'm making a difference. Or is there a way you could concretise this process of spreading light and how it affects the bigger picture?

hi. i feel the strong urge to open some kind of a center or practice for people with mental problems. it keeps getting so much stronger that i can't ignore it anymore! it kinda drives me crazy... i don't have the financial backround to do it right now. i know everyone says whenever it's the right time to do it the money for it will roll in. the thing is it really is time for me to do it now. i am scared because i also don't have any diploma or whatever - maybe people won't believe that i can truly help them until they meet me? well…no…actually i think that won't be a real issue it's just a fear thought. i wanted to ask if you have any advice for me about the financial thing? thank you ♡ sending love
