- My best idea to finalize Ruixin Pro RX 008 knife sharpener | Upgraded Knife sharpener Ruixin Pro 4. For all the time I have been using the Chinese knife sharpener Ruixin Pro RX 008, I have improved it more than once. I have implemented many of my ideas to bring this budget knife sharpener closer to the level of professional knife sharpeners. But the idea that I brought to reality in this video is the best, and it brought the Ruixin Pro 4 sharpener closer to the level of professional knife sharpeners.

There, the inner and outer diameter must match. That is, it should be 10 by 15 mm.

It is a metal plate coated with yellow zinc, I moved the lifter back. Bushings for a smoother movement of the mechanism.
the image that shows this video is what I need. It has the shaft with the bearings installed and they are numbered 1, 2, and 3. That image with the dimensions would answer my questions. Thanks

Hey. I already have rx008 for about 1,5 year but i found that the angles are incosistent (mainly on clamp - knife on both sides has different position).
Is it worth to upgrade it or its better to get Sy tools K09/ ruixin r009 or something else with similar budget?

I know that in a month Sytools should have a new good option for the same price, already with a good rotary mechanism and a rail for fine adjustment of the sharpening angle. I've pre-ordered so I plan on recording a video.

This is an idea to improve the ease of operation of the sharpener. Now you don't need to pull the mechanism towards you, but turn the knife while holding the knife handle.

Я обошелся только бронзовыми втулками, получилось лучше, плотнее. Надо только подогнать наружные диаметры, передняя втулка чуть пополнее и покороче, потом обрезал на длину 12 мм. А обрезок подошел как дополнение к задней втулке. В качестве оправки использовал существующий вал, на суперклей прихватил втулки, зажал в дрель и напильником, 5 минут обработки и порядок, главное, не провалить, сделать плотненько. В задней втулке бормашиной 2 пазика выбрал под существующую пробку с винтом.

Втулка. Полимерный подшипник на Ruixin Pro RX 008 нужен RJ4JP или RJMP ? Вы подшипник разрезаете или как получается маленький?
Я используюRJ4JP, ведь он самый близкий к параметрам точилки, 10*15. Втулку, полимерный подшипник я разрезал, там можно из 1 втулки всё сделать.

nice modification, but your part list is incomplete. You show several different plastic linear bearings and do not use the brass ones at all. You only listed one part number for the linear bearings. Did you need to replace the screw that holds it together? I'm not criticizing but I'd like to do this mod. I'm not a machinist but I can follow directions.

Ya I bought the parts listed in the more section and they are all wrong. None of them fit and the brass ones are totally useless! I didn't see a listing for the small bearings you used either. If your going to show this at least give a complete and correct list

I think some of the alterations here are valid ideas. However, anytime I see someone using a "saw stroke" action rather than a stroke across the full length of the blade, I have to question how much they actually know about sharpening or blade geometry. It's impossible to maintain a consistent edge with that method.
Are you a push or pull guy? Genuine question.
@Fosdos4790 I tend to use a push because it's the best way to develop the burr quickly without losing a ton of metal. It's a combination of the push with a lateral motion to sweep across the blade length. And I tend to go from blade tip to the ricaso so I don't "fall off" the point and blunt the tip, or conversely draw short and not complete the stroke in an effort to avoid rolling it.

Я правильно понял, что для модернизации были куплены удлиненный винт 30 мм и толщиной 3.8 мм, 2 подшипника MR85ZZ 5x8x2,5мм и 2 втулки RJ4JP-01-08.
Одна втулка была разрезана на 2 части: одна длинной 9.6 мм, вторая часть оставшаяся часть заводской втулки, а со второй втулки были вырезаны дополнительно 2 кусочка втулки по 3,8 мм. Втулка была была подогнана по внутреннему и внешнему диаметру. Все верно?
Я советую все размеры корректировать под вашу точилку, ведь бывает разница, хоть и незначительная.
Попробуйте с таким узлом точной настройки наточить шеф 200мм... Напишите если получится.

@@ArtTemaMix Thanks, I'm trying to understand the angle setup. Was the first angle negative ~14 degrees, and the second angle positive ~24 degrees? Then the total would be like 38 degrees? Not sure if I'm missing something or if that's the right angle for that knife. Asking b/c I'm trying to figure out my setup, like I'm going for 15 degrees, and I start with negative ~14.5 degrees so I'm adding 0.5 degrees to get 15 degrees, not sure if I'm doing this right. TIA

Seems like a lotnof extra “nerding” going on. I just wanted an easy “set up” video. Calibrating and extra testing seems like a bit much. And shaking the sharpener up and down incorrectly to sharpen makes me doubt the skills here . Youre not stroking the knife off. Long strokes not going at it like a horny teenager
