    I’m 35, and just bought my first rope, built myself a dummy as well. Hope to one day have the opportunity to own my own horse and rope some live steers. Just starting out now your videos have been very helpful to me!! Thanks again.

    a great tip for me is before roping eat some lollies. increases catching ability to 90%

    I’m 29 and have been rethinking it because idk if I’m considered “too old” but this definitely helped me with the push to go for it! I just don’t know if I want to team rope or do breakaway. It’s all new to me.

      The only thing 29 is too old for is grade school. Do it! I have a friend thats 70 and is just starting!

      @@BarrettHouser not just yet unfortunately.. I’m hoping to get one soon. I have just been roping the dummy a bunch on foot, but once I get a good ropin horse it’s on!

      @@tybillings774 In my opinion that is kinda the best route to go. Get good at riding, get good at roping the dummy and then put both together! Good luck!

    Ive only been on horse trail rides lasted bout a hour but ive been wanting to learn how to calf rope n ride a horse...im determined to learn more about horses n working with a lasso and so on...im 26

      About 5 years now. No I didn't qualify this year. We didn't go to a lot of ropings.

      @@BarrettHouser I love them the bomb is very light and snappy, and the falcon is a smalller medium rope but it feels light and it is extremely consistent and always feels the same

    So how long was it from the time you first picked up a rope and roped a dummy, to the first time you roped a live steer? I've asked this questioned to a few ropers and the answer is interesting.

    I really want to learn to team rope but here in Florida I can’t find any one who does it or any trainers around me there’s only English riders :(
