Writer Sarfraz Manzoor on meeting Bruce Springsteen for Blinded by the Light

Writer Sarfraz Manzoor talks with Stefan Pape for his movie Blinded by the Light. With the success of movie musicals such as the Freddie Mercury/Queen hit Bohemian Rhapsody and Elton John’s Rocketman the turn has come for The Boss - Bruce Springsteen and Gurinder Chadha’s Blinded by the Light. The film stars Viveik Kalra, Kulvinder Ghir, Meera Ganatra, Nell Williams, Aaron Phagura, Rob Brydon, Hayley Atwell and Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman.
During the interview he talks about meeting his idol Bruce Springsteen getting the rights to his music and why this film is so pertinent in 2019.
Plot: In 1987 during the austere days of Thatcher's Britain, a teenager learns to live life, understand his family and find his own voice through the music of Bruce Springsteen.

Excellent movie and thrilled to know that the film writer Mr. Manzoor got the chance to meet his Music idol Bruce Springteen. For many of us music fans don't get that golden opportunity.

The film helped me discover my love for Springsteen. He seems to understand man. He just gets it. What it’s like to live in a place with no real opportunity like I do. He inspires you to power through all the dogs that want get you down and he tells you live the life you want to live.
