  • Hey what's up, in this video I share with you 5 ways to create wavy lines in after effects.
This is a brief overview of the different ways of creating this, depending on the look that you're going for, I will share a step-by-step breakdown of each type of wave in separate videos.
Let me know if you have any ideas / request for tutorials.
The step-by-step tutorials will be added to this playlist:

Exactly what I was looking for, using a displacement map on a cycling gradient. Genius!

I watched video but I need to make half sine wave meaning portion under 0 will be removed... Can you tell me how to do it

CARTOONY44 hey. Not sure what you mean by portion under 0 will be removed. Do you have a reference?

@@neonmotions On a sine wave... Positive values are on the top half of the wave, and negative values are below so if you drew a horizontal wave through a sine wave, anything below that line would be < 0. But it's unclear whether they can just draw a mask over the bottom half, or they want it to bounce? or draw a line?
If we represented arcs with the characters "u" and "n"
So if a normal sine wave was represented as nunununununununu
      Do they want n_n_n_n_n_n_n ?
      or a bounce? nnnnnnnnn ?
Though, 5 months later... I'm guessing they've figured it out by now.
