@Ryan_Rocketz no problem! Lining is super hard to do I always hated it whenever I did customs. I actually prefer the lining being smudged for Smudger because of the reason you gave for Smudgers name its really fitting

Wow. It's real sinister that Duke wished for what happened to Smudger out of jealousy. Hopefully he can be restored back into an engine again. That ending with Max and Monty was really nice. Also your BMQ set looks fantastic! Great story and work overall!

Yo I got some questions for you.
1. what was the build process behind Smudger, and did you use mod podge?
2. I noticed in the episode peter sam gained moving side rods, Was that a thing that changed during production or etc?
3.Whats the process and time process into the making of episodes? Script development, prop building, etc.
4. what keeps you going to making these stories?
Great questions!
1. To make Smudger, there was no building necessary, I just painted a spare Trackmaster Rheneas I had. I tried to print out his nameplate and cab lining by putting a painted piece of paper in my printer, but the ink smudged and so I just explained it in the episode. I didn’t use mod podge, but I did use a bit of rubber cement to attach the painted paper to his cab.
2. Good eye! I filmed the slate quarry and Ffarquhar Quarry scenes long before everything else. I modded Peter Sam, Rheneas, Cow, and Smudger to have moving siderods right before filming the mid Sodor scenes. Peter Sam’s mod isn’t perfect, I had to use some cardboard, so I may update it in the future.
3. This episode in particular took a long long time, I thought of the idea over two years ago while I was filming “Mavis Makes Mistakes” (I’m always planning about 5-10 episodes in advance). That said, I never write scripts for my episodes, I just plan them out in my head. With that in mind, production officially began immediately after I finished “Rolling Stock Convention”. Filming is always the longest process, because it also includes setting up the scene and acquiring the props. As I filmed, I would voice the lines, usually the same day to be sure I don’t need to film any extra perspectives. I created the music mostly before and sometimes during filming, which was one of my favorite parts of the process. At the very end, I added sound effects.
4. I enjoy the entire process, start to finish. This is several creative outlets combined into one giant project. I enjoy composing, painting models, making dioramas, collecting trains, voice-acting, editing videos and thumbnails, and replying to comments!

Hey Ryan, I am a long time fan and I had a question about your sets, is it a large layout or is it seperate sets you destroy and then remake
If it is the case that you make separate parts, do you film all the parts of the video that are set in that location
And also do you remake the sets for every video

I make all of the sets separately, and film all of that location’s scenes at once! The blue mountain quarry was one big set, but I was able to build smaller sets while that was up, one at a time.

Thanks for the question! I just used a green towel and some fake bushes like usual, and a model building I found on eBay.
The background is an image of some hills projected from my laptop to a TV, and I built the set in front of my TV!
