    Very good honest review...glad to see warmer weather is arriving for you!

    Beautiful bike! I like the apes more than the t bars also. I have a 2021 and personally like the gauges on the dash better. But that’s just me. Either way this bike is a blast to ride! Enjoy 🍻

      Thanks. I’ve heard differing opinions on the apes but I’m glad you like them. 👍

    Bike looks great to me all around..I put similar ape hangers on my 2023 Low Rider ST with its stock 4” risers similar to yours and get some love and hate for doing that, mostly hate with dudes saying I must use t-bars..I’m not into t-bars so I said what the heck everyone has their own opinion and their own preference.. I love the way your bike look’s brother safe riding to you!

      Thanks. Ape hangers are pretty divisive. Most people don’t like them on this bike. But I’m not interested in being an SOA wannabe. Gotta be different.

    Looks good think the apehangers was a good choice over the Tbar which seems most of them low riders run nowadays

    I'm glad you like her! What you describe with the shifter is similar when I test drove a Street Bob on a demo day, so I get what you are saying about that. I have not taken the Fat Boy out yet but this coming week looks promising! Cheers

      I just have to adjust the linkage a little. Hopefully you’ll get the bike out soon.

    Congrats on your new ride. I haven't rode the Fat Boy or the LRS, but I've got Fat Bob, and it's a phenomenal all around bike.

    You can adjust the rear brake pedal, so it sits higher since you changed to forward control

    Most of your complaints are about after market items The exhaust that burned your leg isnt stop The brake pedal isnt like that at all on stock and is changed The shifter linkage is also not an issue on the stock All those things were either changed by you or your dealer

    Im glad you have a new bike. I have the same one. I feel like in your video, you are being a litttle hard on it. Please consider, and let the viewers know , that almost all of the things you commented on like the brake lever , shifter linkage, speedo wires and air cleaner . Are all due to the changes you have made to the bike. Some viewers may not realize that all of the components you are critisizing , are of your own doing. Dont get me wrong, you should personalise your own bike to your liking, but the things you are bothered about would not be an issue the way it was made before your customizations.. i do like what you have done and applaud you for not being like almost everyone else who has a low rider s with tall t bars, mids, and a 2 in to 1 exhast and saddlemen seat. I like your bar set up and if i hadnt seen you do it, i likely would have never thought of it . I will keep following your build because i like what your doing...breaking away from the traditional.. goog luck with your new ride!

      Thanks. I agree some of the issues are due to the mods made to the bike.

    I’m so glad you finally get to ride the new bike. I forgot they put inverted front forks on the low rider. And I would look in to some type of wider or extended rear brake lever because that air cleaner definitely sticks way out.

    • @canadiansa1nt309
      @canadiansa1nt309  Před rokem

      The suspension is definitely much better. Especially on the front. The air cleaner does stick out but I’ve gotten used to it already so I don’t notice it much.

    • @timbutler3213
      @timbutler3213 Před rokem +1

      I’ve got the trask (see through) cleaner on mine and although it doesn’t stick out perhaps as much as yours does it did make me question if I should get a different brake pedal when I first rode it with it on. But you’re right, you kinda get used to things. It doesn’t bother me with my leg. It’s just a question of will my foot find it fast enough because as you know the Fat boys have floorboards so it’s not like my eye foot is in the proper position for sudden braking. But so far so good I guess. One thing I always thought looks good on those low riders is the tall passenger back rest bar, even if it doesn’t have the actual cushion attached. It kinda gives it that ‘easy rider’ look.

    • @canadiansa1nt309
      @canadiansa1nt309  Před rokem

      It is a bit of a change to go from footboards to pegs.

    Looks killer ! Finally outside where she belongs. I put forwards on my 22 street bob and have the same issue with the brake. They just made it at a awkward position I’d say. Ride safe.

    • @canadiansa1nt309
      @canadiansa1nt309  Před rokem +1

      I’ve gotten used to the brake now so it’s not a big deal. You keep safe too.

    I guess It's ok, if you like black, black, and more black. Personally I'm not a fan of the 100% black look. I have a 1989 FXRS Low Rider. High gloss dark red tank and fenders, chrome side covers, chrome instrument housing on the tank, short chrome sissy bar made out of square tubing, stock headers with chrome slip ons, S&S carburetor with S&S teardrop air cleaner, no windshield, stock chrome bars. Hard leather saddlebags mounted with Easy Brackets. Polished aluminum and chrome 80ci EVO. Lots of chrome and red paint. Cast wheels are silver. Only things that are black are the frame, tires, seat, cables, hoses, grips, top of footpegs, and maybe an odd bolt or bracket here and there. Had it since 2003 and will never give it up.

      Sounds like a keeper. I’m usually more of a chrome guy but I went a different way this time. Love the evo engines btw.

    Wonder if the thrashin supply rear brake lever would fix the strange position

    Certainly much different than the FatBoy, but I really like it...very sleek and blacked out....Can't wait to hear a sound clip of that exhaust or when you crack it open on the highway.

    • @canadiansa1nt309
      @canadiansa1nt309  Před rokem +1

      It’s definitely faster and more agile. There’s a clip of the exhaust sound on the video when it arrived.

    Nothing personal dude it’s just personal preference I guess but I would think those apes would look better without those risers. They’re just so high it kind of looks out of place. I have apes on my fat boy. I have no risers

      The back brake does seem a little soft. Maybe that’s why they’re dual on the front.

      The front is ok I agree, but for the price cutting, corners on breaks is a little to much
