1. Need to distinguish between Touring bikes and Rally bikes; rally bikes are basically upgraded old school "enduro" types that run on both street and dirt while Touring bikes are strictly limited to paved road ventures.

Having a BMW K1200 LT for 17 years since I bought it new, the latest offering of “touring bikes” does not blow my hair back. I also have a 2010 BMW GSA. I also have the panniers and top cases, but when I see the amount of stuff that wunderlich has strapped onto the new GeeEss, its a wonder that it is capable of moving! Anyone using all that baggage for touring has no clue about touring!
I rode a BMW 1200LT all over europe . No question about it ,it is simply underpowered . a boring slug .
