      Ur key stream is the number assigned to ur key. So it’s lemon right so you use that everytime. there’s a better tutorial on the vigenere cipher than this that explains it better lemme edit this with the link. It’s just overall better to understand and it’s the same thing just with numbers. This saves you from having to count like in this video : czcams.com/video/E352JJ8xv48/video.html
      This make it a bit simpler

    I'm here because I read the following book:" Codes, Ciphers, And Secret Writing" by Martin Gardner. I wanted to find out how this video presentation compared to how it was presented in that book.
    Incidentally, since the grid can be used with more than one method, I think that the word "system" is a better description than the word "cipher" for the Vigenere grid.

    • @conscriptchampion
      @conscriptchampion Před 4 lety +1

      Yes, you can do that. I've made my own with numbers and basic punctuation. Done correctly you've got a very workable cipher and the equivalent security of a one time pad - the Holy Grail of encryption.

    • @JarppaGuru
      @JarppaGuru Před 9 měsíci

      just add number end of first and second col and row and fill blanks. i mean you have to cleam half of this board bcoz it comes 0-9 where has a-k
      mean N line would be NOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLM.
      and all those grid can be even mixed it still would work
      or make bigger circle and smaller circle write your alphas and number equal on edges.
      that is same thing and less work.turn smaller ring K(stream letter) under A and do your encrypt and decrypt so on.
      or make 2 strip of paper
      ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789
      ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789
      yes one is double size so its easier when you slide key under A you can encrypt and decode.
      works still exact same way
