As far as I’m aware, this is actually the second time there was a miniature treehouse in a Lego set, the first was in the a frame cabin.
There have been a bunch of micro builds and midi builds of the classic Yellow Castle as well! This set appears to feature the EIGHTH version as far as I can tell!

When you flipped the set around and showed those micro builds was the first time in a LEGO review my jaw actually dropped
At this point I finished my third rewatch carefully counting. I tallied a total of 15 times the word 'system'/'systems' was said! BTW I love ur videos man!
Really would like if the Big Pirate Minifig was on wide release. A scalper's paradise on eBay.
I've been taking the Lego I still had from my childhood, rebuilding the sets I can remember using instructions online, and finding out which pieces I'm missing. I grew up first with the big figures with the square bodies you'd put together with basic bricks. From there was the introduction of the minifigs with a molded torso and legs and a faceless yellow head. Finally they introduced the minifig we have today with the moveable arms and legs and a face! Quite a journey of innovation for Lego in a span of a few short years.
4:05 - the prototype model is so much better, especially the Duplo train and the alternative Technics car. The city looks slightly better but it’s cramped
I've collected all the LEGO House exclusives, since before they started numbering them, and this one will not be an exception. Luckily for me Billund is "just" eight hours of driving plus a ferry trip away, so I've managed to average at least one visit to LH every year since it opened (no visit in 2020 due to COVID, but incidentally I visited twice the year before...). It's become sort of a tradition now that I take the kids there during autumn holidays.

Hello! Love the clean studio space and your videos! Do you think you could make a tutorial on lego custom bonsai-style baseplate trays? I have been searching forever, and have not found great videos on how to construct clean seamless display trays for my mocs.. 😢..

Omg the model the „duplo“ one is placed on was one of my favorite sets to play with as a Child 😂 didn’t know that it was such an old set (the train)
ill bet you could replace those brickbuilt yellow blocks with 2 actual duplo yellow bricks
Alright I'm convinced, maybe another Jutland vacation is in order. Hopefully I can pick both this one and the pirate maxifig up when there.
Tiago, do you have any idea which themes are currently “unsuccessful” for Lego?
I still have that train from the 80s and a zoo set with a big platform and a farm set with a fence in the large pieces.
I remember yearning for the technic car that is represented in this set as a child.

I just came back from a visit from the Lego House, and oh boy what a treat ! And I had no clue they’ve actually made a set for the wooden duck. Let’s say I didn’t leave the place empty handed. 😏

How come u haven't reviewed the London booth yet?
It seems so odd to me that LEGO didn't put an actual DUPLO brick here.
I wonder what was the reason. Could it be due to logistics of packing together System and Duplo parts I imagine they're stored in different parts of the factory?
I do remember that the _Serious Play_ LEGO Sets are practically the only ones I know of that feature both System and Duplo parts in the same set.
IIRC current sets already include parts produced in different factories, so logistics shouldn't really be an issue... I guess it may be down to philosophy - I can see there being an argument for brick-building the Duplo bricks since everything else is, but I agree that it would have been nicer to see two Duplo bricks integrated in the wall, which would also serve to show off the compatibility between the two systems.
@@koma-k agreed. Also to note that already back then, The LEGO Movie 2 showcased the crossover between Minifig and minidolls, but gave us bricks built DUPLO bricks...

I actually have the Limited Edition No. 3, the Dagny Holm set. I was in Billund last year and bought it together with the Lego House set for my mate. It was an absolute pleasure to put the set together; all the Easter eggs made it memorable.
i prefer the micro builds at the back because the main build given its footprint feels empty

If you mean on the back of the box, that's the original Town Plan set from 1962

I wish the Lego house exclusive sets were only based off of Lego house experiences, not Lego history. The model could have been the newest experience. Lego history sets like this and the minifigure tribute set should be widely available
I love (and have) the first 4, but have to admit that this one does in no way appeal to me. It might be the huge gray backwall or the appearance itself, I just think it looks ugly.
Agreed. Really bland set, IMO. Feels uninspired and basic, and - aesthetically - kind of unfinished.

The only exclusive pieces in this set are the printed tiles, which can easily be replicated through homemade stickers.
Just try to find the parts list and instructions for this set.
For adult Lego fans, if you need a new drinking game then take a shot every time Tiago says systems!
You said well: this will be a fantastic set for LEGO fans. I don’t think they appeal too much for the general buyer. I showed this to my wife and she was like “ahann?”

AFAIK, Lego House exclusive sets all make it into the Lego Builder app. Failing that, it should be available from customer service on the website as a PDF.
I would be interested too, but this might likely be under NDA...
I don’t like it… the micro builds are cool, but for me it doesn’t work as a set.

The more you have these exclusive sets, these unobtainable promotional things, these insane prices, the more I distance myself from Lego. Today, I'm disgusted. It's become a rich, niche brand. I'm no longer a fan, and I'm just going to devote myself to building and rebuilding B-models for the boxes I already have.

Let me pay a ridiculous amount of money to fly to see the Lego house and spend an hour touring. This set is my least favorite set Lego house has put out by far.
