Montebello Park Lowriders 12/03/2023 Alaniz Beatz

This past Sunday, Montebello Park had lowriders showing up in support for Carol Viramontes’ fundraiser and memorial cruise. If you had the pleasure to have met Carol, you’d quickly find that she was such a kind and sweet person. Always smiling and in great spirits is how many of us remember her. Every time I’d run into her and her husband, Art, it was nothing but love, support and generosity from both of them. Always offering me something to drink and eat whenever they’d see me getting content for the channel.
As I arrived, things were already happening at the park. The start time was noon but I was told from other that people have been arriving and setting up since early morning. As I made my way around the park getting footage, there were car clubs and solo riders still coming through. It was a great sight to see how many people have love for Carol. As the day progressed, a live performance was done by the homie Ozzy who sang oldies and did cover songs from Ramon Ayala and Vicente Fernandez.
As far as the rides go, there was quite a lot to see. I didn’t do the detailed shots that I usually do with each car because there were so many rides here, I wouldn’t have been able to get them all. Plus, I did catch a good portion of the cruising going on as well.
Lasty, I would like to give my condolences to the Viramontes Family. To Art, stay strong brother, may you find strength and comfort in the Lord. Rest in peace Carol, thank you for the support and friendship over the years.
