  • When I heard ‪@prsguitars‬ was introducing a guitar sub $500 ($499 map). I had to know, can it death metal? This thing rips not just in the price but in the quality of build. Check it out.
    Audio and review available.

They knocked it out of the park with this one! I'm not a PRS person but putting quality 1st and cutting costs where they needed is IMO the PERFECT balance. I can work with a quality build and help it out. I cannot start with junk and make it into much of anything but a waste of my time. Got the red one in my basket waiting for it to arrive. Beautiful instrument!

Great review. I picked one up a couple weeks ago and it really can't be beat for the price. Also sweet track and playing, thank you for playing metal. Most demos are generic blues rock type stuff, and it was sweet hearing the instrument plays skilfully in this style.

New player, late Boomer. Bought the Turquoise Satin. It's a beauty. I lesson on a Squier HSS Affinity, and the PRS is my treat after playing the Squier. The wider nut and less radius on the neck makes for easier playing.

Could you tell me what tuning you used for this video? With the amount of distortion used in metal, many guitars just sound generic. This PRS sounded better to me, but I’m really interested to know your tuning. Thank you for making and posting this video!

How does the bolt on neck manifest in comparison to the SE custom in terms of playability and sound?

They certainly feel different no question. The Custom 24 neck and playbility is very different than a CE. That shows with this model too. Its the ol' player preference thing. As a person that jumps between my CE and Custom 24s, I found this to be very comfortable and "at home".
