I jest about the term "Fudd" sometimes. Of course, it's used by many different people in different ways. One popular use of the term these days, though, is by folks who feel a bit guilty about about their own personal ineffective role in working for the Second Amendment, so to assuage their guilt and envy of those who ARE doing something, they are on a pathetic "witch hunt" for people they can call "Fudds." :-) Much like what we all remember in Middle School.

Who are the 36 idiots that gave a thumbs down on this video? As far as Im concerned, thats the same as renounceing your American Citizenship. Go to the other side of the wall. Do not pass go and do not look back until you feel the heat from Hades. Excellent video,Mr Hickock!!!! Keep up the good work,Sir.

Believe it or not, but CZcams is also available outside of the U.S. 😉 And although I live in Europe, I appreciate this gun as one of the greatest contributions to not only the American, but the whole world's history. And Mr. Hickok is indeed doing a great job showing it.

Love 1911’s. Also have some nice firearms from H&K (USP and P45). Also got a Arex Rex Zero recently. Hickok has a great attitude about the 1911’s. Think of it like classic cars. A 70 ‘Cuda might not have all the technology of the newer sports cars, but it is still a classic sports car that should be respected!

I'm sure someone WOULD argue; it's the way of human nature. :-)
It's not enough for most folks to simply really LIKE or BELIEVE something; they have to demonize and hate on other things different in order to prop up their own confidence and ego about their OWN beliefs.
There just HAS to be an enemy or bad guy around every corner in order for some people to be "happy."

This weapon is a beauty. The design is so recognizable and iconic. It's on par with the Luger for me. I'm not a gun expert.

John Moses Browning was a genius. No other single man had as much impact on the outcome of WWII, or firearms in general, in my opinion. He created the 1911, and the M2 .50 caliber machine gun used in WWII, both are still in use today by many armed forces the world over, not just here in America. The Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), The Browning Auto 5, and many others are also his. Designs still well known, and respected, a full century after Browning's death. Some of which are still in production. He improved or created the lever action rifle, the pump action shotgun, the auto loading pistol, and many more.
Just look up Browning's list of patents, it is as incredible as it is extensive. He pretty much created from scratch, or improved the design of almost every current firearms' original base model, or the model it was adapted from, and in some cases even developed the entire concept of that entire type of weapon system from scratch.
John Moses Browning was granted 128 US Patents for his work with firearms. In addition to his firearms patents, he also designed 7 different cartridges. The .25, .32, .38, .380, and .45 ACP, were all his designs. As well as the 9mm Browning Long. And his masterpiece the .50 BMG. If you are not familiar with his work you are not familiar with firearms, because he pretty much took the firearm from it's infancy to create what we consider the modern firearm.
