Try a bit of SF jello in your FF plain Greek yogurt! SO GOOD! Also try adding some dry beef bouillon mixed in to your raw turkey. Makes it taste more like beef! Love your channel!
I have been adding the better than bouillon beef when I remember, but I JUST bought the beef boullion powder to simplify it. I’m ready to try it. I also add Worcestershire sometimes.
WW closed in my area so it's nice to find your channel, almost like a meeting, except I am still in my pajamas!
That’s how I feel too. 🤗
I’ve been really struggling to get back on the Weight Loss wagon. I’ve done Weight Watchers and lost 50 pounds but as a binge eater I gained 20 back. As I sat here this morning trying to figure out what route I wanted to take and weighing out low carb, carb cycling or just going back on Weight Watchers, I came across your video and you have just made my decision easy. I love your attitude and your wit… That’s not even counting the great tips you share. Thank you so much for the influence you had in getting me back on track. You look amazing by the way!😊
🥰😘
Great tips for newbie me! I've been resorting to popcorn many nights when I watch tv because I'm out of points! It fills my belly. I've learned so much from you already.
Popcorn has become my most trusted friend 🫣😜
Girl! I just made the cheesecake yogurt dessert for work tonight! 😄 (I added a few blueberries) We just bought the compact air fryer - this sounds really good!
What a great helpful video! I’m new to WW and getting so many helpful ideas from you! Thank you! I’m a fellow Texan and love H‑E‑B. We are lucky to have it here.
Agreed. My husband and I both work at HEB.
This video is the best one you’ve ever done!! Thanks so much for the multiple ideas!!!!!
I’m going to add some more helpful/educational videos in the mix. Everyone seems to really respond well to them. I’m here to help
Hard to tell where you are on your journey, but you look a lot thinner than a lot of people who do these videos....and your information was so concise and well put together, I really enjoyed watching. Some of these people that make videos are, well, to be blunt, just not very good and they are hard to watch with very little useful information....but not the case with yours....nicely done and helped me a lot, since I'm a newbie......
I’m so glad to hear that. I’m down 42lbs but I have maybe 30lbs to go. I’m not sure what my final weight will be, I care more about the way my body looks than the number on the scale.
Yes!!! Pineapple does that to my mouth. But I love it…I’ll try it with yogurt fluff. Thank you for this aaamazing video.
Freakin pineapple.
Years ago, when I first started the ww 123 success points plan, Schwan's had individually wrapped turkey breast slices. I would steam and season it with whatever seasoning I felt like. It was my favorite. However, Schwan's discontinued it. I wish they'd bring it back. It was the best! 😢
Great information. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤
Morning Ams and all,
1. I'm male. Maybe I'm not alone, you would know per your demographics. Thanks for a frequently neutral delivery to gen-pop adults. I get that it's mostly women on here and much respect. I can't do the WW creators that have their kids running around the whole video.
2. I am a ten year OA veteran, who has been through the 12 steps for food addiction, and at one time had 2 1/2 years of continuous abstinence (goal weight), followed by another 4 years of continuous abstinence after slips with bingeing in 2018. I left OA in May, '23. The fellowship does not appear to be returning to many in person meetings following the pandemic, at least not in CT, and I am Zoom'ed out. I had a sponsee in OA who did (maybe still does) do WW. I always backed him up on that choice, and it seemed synergistic with the 12 step model in OA.
I do not forsee that I will be joining WW, but I am intrigued by the smart points system. My foodplan in OA was always too restrictive. In WW terms, it was 0 point foods only, for 4 years. I was also carved out of wood those years, and felt amazing in my body, but I realize it was too restrictive. So now, practicing intuitive mindful eating, incorporating much of my OA knowledge base, I am in need of a new perspective, to include moderate consumption of more of a variety of food.
Your channel is a great resource, in large part due to your honesty. Thanks for bravely putting yourself out there, and carrying this message of what works for you, for others to hear.
Breakfast: 2 pieces Ezekiel toast w/ cheddar cheese. Nutri-bullet Smoothie (unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2 scoops ON chocolate hazelnut flavored protein powder, frozen banana, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1 scoop 0-sugar Nesquick, single 0-sugar light/fit strawberry yogurt), 1 K-cup Twix coffee w/ 2 splenda, 1 tbsp 0-sugar sweet Italian creamer.
Happy Saturday!
Breakfast sounds delicious! I’ve never heard of OA but I too have lost a lot of weight in the past by being very restrictive and had success getting it off but keeping it off and maintaining that lifestyle was too hard and it eventually came back on. Children screaming in the background is something I can’t stand either. There is content i really want to watch but have to turn it off after a few minutes because all the whining. There is a reason I have 1 kid 😳🤫
@@amsinprogress😂🙌🏻
I personally like Fage as the best substitute for sour cream that IMO tastes a lot like sour cream.
That is definitely my favorite as well!
So happy to have found your channel. You have lots of great food ideas. I always get stuck in a rut of eating the same food. Thanks!
Same!
Wow! This is such a helpful video. Thank you. I gain a lot of great ideas! Modifying like this does not feel like a diet.
Thanks for watching. I agree, it feels so much easier.
Totally understand trying to do it all. Its overwhelming. Protein and fiber is my main focus now. Trying to figure out how to do this WW for me. I've been a member for years lost over 100 then covid gained maybe 40. So back into this. I'm 66 now and health is priority
Fiber and protein are great things to focus on.
Amazing video I love all the tips you gave for how to use the zero point foods. So helpful !! ❤
I’m glad it helped!
Thank You, Great Video. Very Informative 👍
Just came across your channel, love your personality “o lady canning” made me chuckle. Wish there were more of the products you talk about available in Canada. There’s no Aldi, Trader Joe’s, or access to Thrive Market. Keep inspiring.
Glad my smart mouth is appreciated 🫣😝 at least Canada has Tim Hortons. That is delicious. 🤤 I wish there were easy low point foods for other countries too. A lot of the UK subs say the same thing.
Thanks for all of your videos, very helpful tips. You are fun and cheerful too 🙂
I use sugar free cool whip mixed w the sf pudding instead of yogurt
Thanks for all these recommendations. On the fence with joining weight watchers so I can’t click on all the links but still great info.
When there are less recipes I try to write them out too for all the none WW. With this many recipes they wouldn’t fit in the description box. You are only allowed so many letters. Lol
Love your videos! You're funny and informative!
Thank you! 😊
This was so hopeful! Thank you!
These are great ideas… Thanks so much!
I like the ground chicken much better then ground turkey.
Acorn squash is delish! 🤗
Agreed! 🤤
I love your videos !!!!
You make it fun 😂
🥰
Ams, you're awesome. Thanks for all the helpful tips.
You’re so sweet ☺️
Great video. I like your videos because our cooking style and taste in foods are so similar. Thanks for the ideas.
Glad I can help 😉
Ww closed here too😞 so glad I have options for information ty!😊
Seems like they closed a lot.
Excellent video! Thanks for posting.
You’re welcome ☺️
You look good in your hat
Thanks for your videos
Thank you 😊
Happy Saturday and thank you for so many great idea and tips ❣️ Do you have any cream of broccoli soup or breakfast taco recipes to share or a tamale pie? I’m one month away from my delayed trip to Disneyland and I’ve decided not to count points, but to be mindful of what I’m consuming. If they still sold fantasia ice cream I would be in trouble, because it was my absolute favorite childhood treat at Disney. I’ll get in trouble at Knott’s Berry Farm though with all the Boysenberry treats. However, I will be walking, walking on my trip 😁 Have a wonderful day and Thank you for continuing to do what you do it matters❣️
Points don’t count at Disney. It’s a magical land 😄 I don’t have recipes for those yet but I screen shot it so I can look into it
Great ideas! Thanks for the examples
You’re welcome
This video was super helpful!! ❤️
I’m glad 😃
This was awesome!! Thanks so much!
Happy to help
Love this! Thank you!
🥰😘
Thank you! Picked up a couple ideas😀
Your welcome. I did too 😂 it’s easy to forget and get stuck in a loop
A lot of good tips. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful video. Thank you!
Thank for watching
I agree, they need to stop messing with the app. And bring the whole program back to what it was right before covid and the new CEO ruined the program
Hey! I do not follow weight watchers but you did a great job and gave me lots of new healthy ideas! Could you give me your carrot fry recipe I can’t view it since I’m not a WW member. Thanks!
Here is the link to the recipe. Try it with the sriracha mayo too… I wasn’t sure about it until I had it. So Good! 🤤
www.cookitrealgood.com/air-fryer-carrot-fries/?
I use Sugar free cool whip with pb2 powdered peanut butter.
Yum
One of the things that happened to me since I started WW in 2017 and lost 47 lbs. Is that my cholesterol kept going up every year. Not enough whole food and complex carbs are being taught in the program. At least in the many workshops I attended. That’s my experience as a lifetime member.
I agree. You can eat very healthy on the plan but you can also kind of eat junk if you are willing to starve. I wish there was more education involved.
Same thing happened to me on a low carb diet. That’s what happens when diet programs emphasize protein in unrestricted amounts (zero foods). I cut out animal products and my cholesterol is normal. I do WW as a vegetarian and I focus on fiber.
@@Ev3_6 it definitely seems like fiber is a key ingredient to success.
My go-to zero point foods were spinach, oatmeal, mushrooms, legumes and salmon. What were all these foods high in? Purines! What do Purines cause? Gout! My doctor knew I wasn't lying about what I was eating because she saw the weight loss. Be careful about which zero point foods you choose.
Great video - thanks!
Thanks for watching 🤗
I love ur channel!! Thanku❤
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much Ams for the helpful tips! I swear, at Walmart here all that is available is 90%-93% for ground turkey. So frustrating! I wish we had an H-E-B here. I never heard of H-E-B until I worked for a TX based company and half my coworkers lived there. It sounds like a pretty magical place. :)
lol. Have you tried the frozen meat section? Sometimes they have some there.
You should also call customer care and speak with manager and tell them you want more of the items xyz in my area you had to drive across town to a more afluent neighborhood 45 mins away to get keto and healthier foods. Took about 4 yrs but all the walmart now have them.
Thank you!
No, thank YOU 😉
My very favorite bean is black beans.
Yum 😋
For anyone who likes crunch, Mt. Olive Sweet Gherkins No Sugar Added, 0 points and they satisfy the sweet tooth too.
Great tip! Thank you 😊
Do you use your weekly points too? I just found your channel, I don’t eat meat but I can still find subs
Yes, I do eat my weeklies. ☺️
@@amsinprogress I’m just trying to find my sweet spot between weeklies and activity points. Seems like I do good using weeklies but not activity pts
@@rosefarr2748 I think it will be different for everyone. I say most definitely use your weeklies so you can make sure you are getting enough calories. But I don’t always at all my activity points. Depends on my hunger levels, if we go out to eat, ect. If you full with just your weeklies and having success then do that.
I noticed that on the app . No longer can put instructions . I’m done on the 24 th.
You can add instructions when you are creating the recipe but you can’t edit the recipe to add instructions later which is terrible. I hope they fix that. There are time when I want to add everything to see how many points it will be but do instructions later and now that isn’t an option. We need an update to the update. Lol
Where's the link
So I'm a wheelchair user so I won't be able to get weighed. Which is fine with me because finding out just how much I weigh personally would put me into a huge depression. So I'm going to go by photos. So I'm going to be signing up for the WW. In the past 0. Foods were different for everybody. Like bananas could be 0 points for you but won't necessarily be 0 points for me. Have they changed that now? Where everyone gets the same 0.00 foods?
Yes, unless you are on the diabetic plan.
Yes, unless you are on the diabetic plan, everyone has them same zero point foods. It’s mostly low fat protein, vegetables and fruit. It’s helpful for the what I eat in a days and I can say something is this many points and it’s true for almost everyone. I don’t weigh in every week because of the mental toll too. If I ate well and I feel good, why do I care what the scale says? It’s a good place to be mentally
@@amsinprogress ty That's what I'm thinking too. Is do a monthly picture or a picture every couple of weeks to hold myself somewhat accountable?
@@amsinprogress but you also have to take to consideration also that I've seen a lot of people on WW that once they hit their points for today, they can't have anything else. Which can lead to not eating enough calories to lose weight. My mom used to own a gym and she always told me that. Make sure you're eating enough calories for your body and not just go by how many points You've eaten for the day. Which that's a great thing with having zero point foods. Because once you hit your points for the day, go and look how many calories you've had and eat some zero point foods to hit your calorie mark
@@eringarceau3752 If you eat all your points by the end of the day there are many zero point snacking options like popcorn, fruit, yogurt, etc. I do just the opposite, eat mostly free foods all day and save most of my points for dinner and some evening snacks. Probably not advisable but it’s working for me.
Solo bread is that best tasting low carb bread I have tried at 1 carb not sure the we points but I don't think it would be many points .got it at walmart
I have to go to Walmart tomorrow so I’ll look for it😋
I a little water when I’m cooking the 99% fat free ground turkey, it keeps it from being so dry.
I do that too… when I can’t find the 97% 🤭
I want to join WW do you have a iLe link or coupon code for joining the one where you actually go to the meetings. Either way thank you for your channel. It’s very helpful.
I don’t have a specific link for that. I don’t know if the link listed is for a specific plan or not, it doesn’t tell me that information. I know a lot of people love the meetings though.
another popcorn tip for 0 points for those who don't like the butter spray...... pickle juice - f you like pickles give it a try :)
Great idea. My mom likes mustard on hers 😳 to each their own. lol. 😝
Keto Culture hot dog rolls and Keto Culture hamburger buns at Walmart, are only 1 pt each!
1 point?! That’s crazy
I cant pull up any recipes that youve linked? Iget a WW site instead?
When you open it look on the bottom of the pop up and click Default Browser App. That will open it in the WW app instead. Hopefully that works for you
Vegetarian chili by nalleys points
Corn, “it’s a beautiful thing”😉❤️
Wondering if I can use Cool whip instead of the reddi whip for the yogurt fluff?
I think it would taste good. You’ll just have to play around with how much you can add for zero points or be ok with adding a point. I love that stuff but always for get to take it out of the freezer in time to defrost. Lol
What’s a good protein powder I’ve never used it
There are a lot of good ones. If you can tolerate it (no stomach issues) then whey protein will be your cheapest bet. Just make sure you get one very low in sugar and high in protein. You would be surprised how many of them have a lot of carbs and less protein. I would aim for at least 20gm of protein per serving. I cannot do whey because it hurts my stomach so I use a vegan protein. I use the Orgain brand. They have a plant based one that I like in smoothies.
How about details on the lipstick? wink wink
I was wondering how to get the recipes in the WeightWatchers app! I'm a newbie to your channel could you please help me!!!
There is a link in the description box. When you click on it, it should open you WW app. Sometimes it makes you sign in. The recipe should be pulled up automatically. You can save it by hitting the bookmark on the top right or save to favorites. It seems like some peoples app are a little different.
Can you post your recipe for the red pepper crema?
I just throw it together. It’s about 1/2 c of light sour cream with about 1/4 c of the red peppers, salt and pepper to taste and blend. You can add chili powder and lime zest if desired.
Thanks@@amsinprogress
The coatings and sauces on chicken you need to count the points
I stay within the range so I don’t have to count it. So if I can have 3 tbsp of buffalo sauce for 0 points, then I’ll use 3 tbsp or less.
Where do you get the good good jam?
I get it at HEB but I’ve seen it at Walmart too. It’s by the regular jams
I would like recipes but am not on Ww app is that the only way you can see recipes?
I’m try to add the recipes to the description box. I’m only allowed to add so many letters to the box so I won’t be able to fit them all. It might take a day. I’ll respond again when I’ve added them.
Email me at amsinprogress@gmail.com and let me know what recipes you would like. The description box is full and it won’t let me add more.
I dont eat meat...?
Beans, edamame, Greek yogurt and cottage cheese are great zero point proteins for you
👍🏼👍🏼
😘
Folks I don't think it's good that she's recommending all these processed food. That might be why she hasn't reached her goal weight.
… the list of low fat proteins, vegetables and fruit was too much processed food for you?
What??? Most of the foods you mentioned were whole foods, not processed foods
I am learning so much with your videos. I am not a WW member yet so i cant access recipes. Is it possible for you to share the yogurt fluff recipe please?
1/2 c Greek yogurt, 9 grams reddiwhip, 4 grams sugar free pudding (I like the cheesecake one) and a splash of milk to help it mix together.
If I add an alani nu packet to water or gaterade zero sugar does that count for water intake?
Weight watchers would say no but I would say yes if you keep it to once a day. You don’t want to be overly relying of it but if it helps you get water than there are worse things. lol. 😝
Yes I agree with @gailruuhela5627 we no longer have a WW chapter in my area so these videos are super helpful and plus big plus you make me laugh and give great ideas
☺️🥰
