I’m practicing the first pattern and the “EHH?!” At 3:09 is slaying me! I keep playing the pattern over and over and now everyone is screaming “EHH?!” across the house. @@libelle8124 Oh wow that is a good song! Unfortunately, great picking melody fingerstyles aren't my forte as of yet. I know of some which I have learned over the years. But I'll put this down in my notebook, if I ever start to get better at finger arrangements and let you know for sure!

Very good instructions! Clear and precise. It might be good to tell the people watching that when you play "Somewhere over the rainbow" with the third pattern, you are actually changing the beat of the song from 3/4 to 4/4 (or 2/4 depending on how you see it). So, you are not adapting the pattern to a 3/4 song, you are adapting a 3/4 song to a 4/4 pattern and thereby changing the song. Just my two cent. Keep up the good work!
Yes that is right! Thank you much for the input! I didn’t know how to make it as simple as I could for those who are not familiar with music terms such as 3/4 and 4/4, etc. So I just said 3 beat and 4 beat rhythms. Do you think there’s any other way I could’ve made it simpler too? Mahalo!

The way you teach it makes sense with out having to be a music student and going thru or understanding "Theory". I don't read music either so the "beats" is perfect JJ !
