    That man is foolish to say those people born in Venezuela are Guyanese, they are Venezuelans of Guyanese Ancestry, same as Guyanese who were in other countries, they don't have Right and Status as Born Guyanese. The must apply for Guyanese Citizenship and if Qualified granted Landed Immigrant Status. That is how it is in other Countries, no Special Treatment for Anyone, abide by the Laws of the Land.

      People who are descended from Guyanese and eligible according to the laws of Guyana should be treated that way. However, that isn't what is up for debate. Rather it is the claim that the majority of migrants fit that criteria.

      Generally, relating to persons born in a country where there forefathers and ancestors call home, that person's allegiance fall to the motherland.
      Im not knocking immigrants, however, first generation immigrants allegiance falls to their country of birth. They generally immigrate out of necessity not out of falling out of love with their country of birth.
      Its not until the 2nd and 3rd generation that allegiance to the new land begin to take root.
      Sometimes it takes a few generations for their allegiance to shift to the new land. All of this under normal situations.
      In guyana there is an abnormal situation. The situation is, specifically regarding the venezuelan migrants, they are coming with a teaching from a baby that guyana territory is venezuelan territory. There is no amount of good will on any country part that can convince them otherwise.
      Guyanese people are currently in a state of parathesis.
      Guyanese people need to know the truth.
      Average people need to start asking these newcomers what they think about guyana. Ask them, Do you think this essequibo land belong to guyana or venezuela?
      Second question you should ask the new comers,
      Do you believe the blacks and indians belong in this country guyana?
      If no, where do you believe they belong.
      The response will shock you.

    I hear you, brother. My questions are 1. When these un docu people arrive and they throw away their docu don't they ask them questions like name, place of birth, age, where are they coming from, and why are they here? Based on their answers they check with the country's registry to verify the claims. They also get police records of the individual to VERIFY!!! While this is sought after a medical is done as well as some education test to see what type of individual you have before you. I mean am I asking for too much? I've never done this type of government work but at least these are the basics they should ask! If the country returns with the information and can verify then you decide whether or not you will accept the immigrant. If the results come back unverified, then the immigrant is returned to his place of abode! The Guyanaese brother who spoke on the call is correct!

    Funny how Guyanese are rejecting Venezuelans when the highest migrant group to the Caribbean islands is Guyanese. This is why most Caribbean people are supporting Guyana because it’s well known when things happen in Guyana - Guyanese migrate to the islands.

    • @BottomHouseTV
      @BottomHouseTV  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Funny how you can't comprehend that there is no problem with accepting Venezuelan migrants. Guyana has already accepted tens of thousands of them. The video is about politicians making claims about their nationality and ancestry without evidence. If Guyanese are illegally anywhere (like all illegal migrants), the respective governments can and should deal with them according to their laws.

Nigeria is a Commonwealth Country, Haiti is a CARICOM country. Both of which have legal paths to residence and citizenship. If anyone from either group comes illegally or overstays, then they are eligible for deportation like any other who does the same Venezuelan, Colombian, Surinamese, Grenadian etc.
