Me too! I have say honestly for about 4 hours after the trade I was fuming. I knew when Christian Kirk reset things anything could happen. But I knew it was best for Mahomes to for him to evolve but I damn sure didn’t pick us to win the Superbowl! 😅
Roughly 25 to 30 receivers produce 1000 yard seasons and 6 to 10 TDs every year. His productivity isn't impossible to replace by any means. Replacing the threat to duece it on any given touch is.

as chiefs fans, we should know well by now the dangers of holding on to a team/era too long. it's happened so many times throughout our franchises history, and it always takes so long to recover from it. the chiefs decided to refresh this season so they can jump right back into another long super bowl window.
Flash forward to February 2023: The Chiefs have won the Super Bowl, Mahomes got his second MVP, and the Chiefs led the league in scoring with one of the most efficient offenses in NFL history. In Veach and MVPat we trust baby!

Amazing how much short/term vision was in the pre-trade takes. So focused on Hill hit at some point the cost is too high. What the hell could the Chiefs have done to fix the defense? It was looking like 2018 but with a lesser offense even with Hill.

Travis Kelce is 33 years old.. Tyreek took a LOT of heat off him and others by drawing double and triple coverage.. with him gone, it's going to be harder than ever for Mahomes to find a target.. better get a dynamic pass catching running back to couple with a first round receiver, JuJu and another ..
if hill is on the dolphins at the start of 2023 his deal is 120 mil guaranteed for 4 years...if he was asking that, i'm sorry, but kc made the right decision. we got as much as we could at his high selling point.
also, you guys are vastly over reacting. lol mahomes made hill what he was. yeah the chiefs might struggle to win the west this coming season, but they will still compete and reload for another 4-5 year run.

Remember Hill never would restructure signing bonuses over, when everyone else had in past. Literally same money payed put dif to help the team....he declined. Biggest purse he got it, we got picks to play with and cap space. Mahomes numbers for 6 games he was injured were crazy good 8 td 1 int. Average 394 yards, 5 win 1 loss.....we will be okay.he was about to drop off a cliff, dude that fast something's gotta give, either the speed or his anatomy will break down. We got a bounty for him while we could.

As a Phinfan, we are elated in Dolphin nation!! PPL are saying T.Hill will not be anywhere as good w/o Mahomes. Our new coach will utilize him and Waddle and make our run game much better. Hill was a dream come true for us..

I think the front office is trying to strike a balance between the old pats dynasty and modern competitors. When hill wanted to break the bank, they didn’t believe breaking the back of the team long term was worth it.

Chiefs record is not terrible without Hill on the field. Hill has always shown money first he wouldn't restructure a contract even if it meant still getting the same amount of money. yeah, his hot take was "you go all in every time" which is a great way to waste your QB. Read the landscape of the league- once your QB is the highest paid in the league, making 50 million a year, you can't sign guys to top market deals. HIll is an awesome player but this team wasn't going to ascend with him locking up 30 million in cap space every year. I feel like these bros were just emotional and incapable of thinking long term.
9 months later and the Chiefs are 14-3 and Super Bowl favorites still. All this panic 😆

Wow can't see this benefitting the Chiefs, without a strong passing game You can't win a Super Bowl. KC has Kelce and a bunch of nobody's for Mahomes to pass too. The AFC is stronger than ever, really like the Chargers at +240 to dethrone the Chiefs and take down the AFC West this year. Chargers have a very good offense and made some nice upgrades on the defensive side.

You sign a big physical receiver like juju you resigned Josh Gordon and you bring in big physical receiver types the Chiefs want to be more physical offense they will start running the Ball more and Andy Reid will develop more creative run plays to be a more physical ball control offense while still throwing the ball

The Tyreek Hill of course hurts them short term next season because Mahomes is gonna need time to develop a strong connection with the young guys and you can’t replace a player as great and explosive as Hill. Long Term this helps KC because of the draft capital they got and KC has a long history of drafting well.
