3 TAKEAWAYS from Patrick Mahomes 'New Heights' Interview with the Kelce Brothers
I honestly think the typo on the rings isn't that big a deal. They creamed the hell out of Miami in frigid weather, does it really matter whether they were a 6 or 7 seed? Also, I don't think it would be such a bad idea to stash LRZ on the practice squad and keep Remigio, but I don't see them keeping both because guys like Worthy, Hardman, and Toney can also chip in on kick and punt returns
He is a hall of famer fosho
FOUR. We're winning FOUR straight super bowls.
Tell em Sharp
Trust me guys. Zammit has a boot on him. As a winger, you have to catch, kick (accurately)and counter-attack. Its part of your job that happens many many time every single game. He can tackle and break tackles and was clocked at 24mph mid game. Obs without pads helmet but, his speed will surprise people
You guys don't even understand what the dark days were about and I think he's stalking has to too tired he don't have a clue about what the dark days was he was still
I put together a list similar to this last offseason, except I created an all-time 53-man roster. I don't think any of the names have changed in the season since, because no 2023 Chief not already on the list would have surpassed anybody currently on the list. QB Len Dawson (1962-75) QB Patrick Mahomes (2017-) QB Bill Kenney (1980-88) RB Tony Richardson (1995-2005) RB Ed Podolak (1969-77) RB Jamaal Charles (2008-16) WR Otis Taylor (1965-75) WR Henry Marshall (1976-87) WR Carlos Carson (1980-89) WR Stephone Paige (1983-91) WR Dwayne Bowe (2007-14) TE Travis Kelce (2013-) TE Tony Gonzalez (1997-2008) TE Chris Burford (1960-67) T Jim Tyrer (1961-73) T John Alt (1984-96) RT Dave Hill (1963-74) G Ed Budde (1963-76) RG Will Shields (1993-2006) G Brian Waters (2000-10) G Tom Condon (1974-84) G Dave Szott (1990-2000) C Jack Rudnay (1970-82) IOL Tim Grunhard (1990-2000) IOL Casey Wiegmann (2001-11) DT Buck Buchanan (1963-75) DL Chris Jones (2016-) DL Dan Saleaumua (1989-96) DL Bill Maas (1984-92) DL Jerry Mays (1961-70) DE Neil Smith (1988-96) DE Art Still (1978-87) DE Mike Bell (1979-91) DE Eric Hicks (1998-2006) OLB Bobby Bell (1963-74) OLB Tamba Hali (2006-17) LB Derrick Thomas (1989-99) LB Derrick Johnson (2005-17) LB Willie Lanier (1967-77) LB Jim Lynch (1967-77) LB E.J. Holub (1961-70) LB Sherrill Headrick (1960-67) CB Emmitt Thomas (1966-78) CB Albert Lewis (1983-93) CB Kevin Ross (1984-97) CB Dale Carter (1992-98) S Johnny Robinson (1960-71) S Deron Cherry (1981-91) S Lloyd Burruss (1981-91) S Jim Kearney (1967-75) K Nick Lowery (1980-93) P Jerrel Wilson (1963-77) LS James Winchester (2015-) I unfortunately did leave some names off, most notably guys whose value was harder to measure like Kimble Anders and Dante Hall and sometime specialist tandem Harrison Butker and Dustin Colquitt. Great players like Terrell Suggs and Marcus Allen played for the Chiefs at some point, but are left off because their contributions to the team aren't as great as their bodies of work at large. Also, postseason legacy is not weighed as heavily as overall longevity and value, otherwise there might be a few more players from the modern era on the list (such as Butker and Colquitt).
Agree with Adam about Butker 100%. Incredible kicker.
2pm is who he is, in spags / big red we trust...lets go kingdom
I can't wait to see this KC Defense play. If the Chiefs Offense scores as many points as Chiefs Kingdom believes they will opposing teams will be playing from behind and be tempted to throw the ball down the field. Pin your ears back boys!!!
I disagree with you on the LB spots, Matt. We saw Cole Christianson and Cam Jones play at a high level when asked too last year. Take a peek at the tape. Look out for Cam Jones this kid has a nose for the ball and can tackle. If the Chiefs were concerned with this group they would have brought in a veteran free agent to fill the supposed void. These LBs can play. Do not sell them short. Remember, you weren't so high on Chenal last year either. Don't count out Cam Jones. Kid can play.
Sky Moore WILL win the last WR spot. The Chiefs picked him in the 2nd round for a reason. Remember he was injured last year and probably had a sophomore slump but he did get open several time where Mahomes just didn't het him the ball. Mahomes missed alot of plays including Rice up the middle against the Niners. So, it wasn't Moore not always playing at a high level. The kid can play and he WILL win the las wr spot. IMO.
I agree, he needs to work on running the correct routes for each play but he's great once he has the ball in his hands
Put respect on Dustyâs name. I own his jersey and have since 2010 because HE WAS THE BEST PLAYER ON THOSE TEAMS
Butker will end up in Canton. Canât wait to hear his speech!
Whats wrong with that thats the team that drafted him
I would give skyy this season to get it together
Mumble, mumble, mumble
Veach has faith in Toney as we heard in his press conference and I think the team does too. Now I do agree with what Verderame is saying about Toney. I just havenât gave up hope yet on him. I think he makes the team but I wouldnât be surprised if he gets cut. Moore and Toney makes the roster because they need bodies. Toney has the talent and I would give him one more chance.
Can't wait til the games start, so I can hear some epic Verderants
Great show fellas
Did we give up on Reknow to soon
Who???
Matty V is the best
How Many yards did KT give up from his INT's and dropped passed?
We can get at least a rough estimate of that. Overall average depth of target: +2.9 yards Ă 38 targets = 110 intended air yards Yards before catch per reception: +1.5 yards Ă 27 receptions = 41 caught air yards 110 - 41 = 69 missed air yards Yards after catch per reception: +4.7 yards Ă 11 incompletions = 52 missed yards after catch 69 missed air yards + 52 missed yards after catch + 52 interception return yards = 173 yards given up Those 173 yards, plus the pick 6 by Brian Branch, completely offset the 169 receiving yards and single score Toney managed to achieve. Now, not all those incompletions were drops, and a couple might have been more on Mahomes than they were on him, but not only is it hard to deny how little value he contributed to the Chiefs last year, that doesn't even include the lateral touchdown against the Bills that was called back.
Toney doesnât care about football and he only showed up this week because he didnât want to be finedâŠ
Nikko Nikko Nikko
Matt's the man
Arrowhead Addict: A Kansas City Chiefs Podcast, I subbed to your channel!
lmao, thank you for cutting him off before he made the mcduffie point. whats with this guy?
Chiefs bouta win 5 SB in a row
Yes she did
Man, I love Patrick Allen, but having Verderame and Brisco more regularly isn't such a bad thing
Tackles were lining up just like Jawaan Taylor all over the league. He was the only one ever penalized for it. Just because you didn't like the signing, doesn't mean you need to keep picking on him. Sterling, I'm sick of you harassing him all the time!
Hahaha I think Jawaan is about to have a pro bowl season and be the best or 2nd best OL on the team.
I think Jawaan is gonna have a much better year this year.
Week1 Baltimore Bullies coming.
The barbecue discussion is driving me crazy. Get away from the âcommercialâ barbecue places. Got to LCs on Blue Plwy. Best damn place in town. Ribs, burnt ends and spicy fried green beans are the best.
And there's the football question: how fast can Worthy learn the offense and the game? In year 1 a WR is as successful as they are smart. That's what Andy cares about. That's when he finds out how and when he can use your talents...
The idea that it's un-Murican to ban a man for calling vegetables a hot dog has me bewildered. It's.....there's a great deal of irony and comedy to mine from this turn of events.
Good energy, y'all - but does this mean Mr. Conner is out (hope not)? Really missing the recommendations with Richard...
Hey, why would you have this annoying child on your channel? AA trolling us?
sterling hi, your new mic seems like its always on a lower volume, not as a crisp and clear
LRZ can do the kick off because he can also tackle and I lay even money he will take part in some offensive plays later on in the season
Does Joshua ever shut up and let anybody else talk
How do you do this
Let's put together a few numbers for this year's receiving corps (I'm assuming Rice serves an 8-game suspension and a couple of injuries happen): Kelce: 900-1,200 yards and 10 TDs Brown: 900-1,200 yards and 8 TDs Worthy: 600-800 yards and 4 TDs Rice (9 games): 500-750 yards and 4 TDs Hardman: 500-700 yards and 5 TDs Gray: 400-600 yards and 3 TDs Watson: 300-500 yards and 3 TDs Edwards-Helaire: 200-300 yards and 3 TDs Moore: 150-300 yards and 1 TD Wiley: 150-250 yards and 2 TDs Pacheco: 100-200 yards and 1 TD Toney: 100-200 yards and 1 TD Rees-Zammit: 50-150 yards and 2 TDs Smith: 50-150 yards and 1 TD Prince or Steele: 50-100 yards Ross: 50-100 yards That's a lot of unimpressive stat lines except for the top two. But the _low_ ends of the ranges above add up to 5,000 passing yards, which-along with the 48 TDs I've put on there-would be more than enough to make Mahomes the MVP for a third time in his career. I trust Reid and Nagy to deliver results with a committee-based receiver room.
Yes he's a hall of famer
I believe Butker is top 50
Would taken him off my draft board after this comment. Not because itâs shade at Mahomes but because it is one of the dumbest comments ever spoken. Iâd be afraid there is no way he could learn a playbook.
Canât wait for Buffalo to experience this in 2024 Sean McDermottâz gonna lose his mind
Matt is great
Punters pin the offense back and create those special defensive moments we all remember. And Conner, you ever imbibe at Case de Angry yer' gonna' be regaled with Colquitt stories. How he could kill that ball inside the 10 and the 5 the way racquetball players can hit the wall and roll that thing to you. You know a guy who's never met Colquitt when you hear a hater. God tier troll, shit stirrer, and best friend your defense ever had.
The only reason I think the New Orleans game is prime time is to promote the first Mahomes vs Carr game since Carr has left the Raiders.
