- We travelled from Singapore to Christchurch on SQ287 so decided to treat ourselves and do Singapore Airlines Premium Economy. This premium economy review shows you an in depth look at part of the Singapore Airlines fleet, in this case the Singapore Airlines A350. You might be wondering is premium economy is worth it? The video speaks for itself! We are av geeks and loved our experience on board this Airbus A350, including the massive amount of legroom. I’ve flown Singapore airlines before many times when I travelled to India from Singapore and they are one of the best airlines in the world. I have never flown premium economy though but I’m going to fly on it in Christmas when I take a 777-300 we to Sydney

What requirements did you provide to New Zealand ? We fly on August 5 same singapore airlines to christchurch.
We are both kiwis so it was really simple (I printed stuff I thought we’d need but we didn’t in the end!) I recommend staying up to date with the NZ government websites, they’re really helpful for the latest info 😊
You could always just speak to the person kicking your seat.
The seatbelt padding is an airbag. Ask if it's safe for small children.

I am looking to book for Europe next year and writing up the options. However PE is an additional $3500 over and back from Australia. I don’t know if I can justify the extra cost. We only fly economy. Do you think it is worth the extra, seeing you have flown in it?
It really depends on how much you value leg room and seat width. I wouldn't upgrade if you can handle being in economy for a long time but it made a huge difference in terms of confidence and the flight went a LOT faster for us. It's one of the best experiences we've had on a plane but if I had to choose between the seat and an extra $3500 to spend in Europe, I'd probably spend the money in Europe! If you have any health or pain issues then the seat probably is worth it though. It depends on your personal circumstances.
Definitely worth the upgrade! The alternative in my opinion is to book time or a hotel between the two major legs. I used to fly a lot but now instead of flying economy I save for an upgrade and fly less, staying in a destination longer. Just my two cents :)
@@thisunchartedworld My wife & I can generally suck it up on the way to somewhere on long haul. However coming home is different. Would love to upgrade to business, but those seats are hard to come by

Thankfully we managed to get a great PE deal with Vietnam Airlines. PE is a much better product than economy. Just need to get it for the right price@@duderRechthat
It's not padded, it's actually an airbag seatbelt
it's padded. it's the same as the business class seatbelt.

My baggage has been missing since 7 December by Singapore Airline from BNE-SIN-BKK. Try to call those three office and airport, but no response. Not good for first impression.

Not sure if you said in your video but did that seat recline as much as the others or is it limited by the bulkhead behind? Flying to Singapore in a few months in PE, trying to choose a seat.
Yes it seemed to recline as much as the ones in front and no issue with the bulkhead behind. It was a great seat because no one was behind kicking your seat!
