I have never unboxed an online mattress. The last time I got any thing was over 30 years ago and that was a futon. My next mattress once I pay off some debts will be an online mattress but probably one with latex as I am not a fan of having to offgas a mattress.

Yes, it was easy peasy and carrying a box thru the door was so much easier than carrying a full size mattress thru the door way. Thanks though for the tips💕

Yes, I unboxed an online mattress for my daughter when she moved into her apartment. A Nolah Original 10"...perfect for a petite young lady who sleeps on her side.
I've not unboxed a mattress yet, so that leaves me something to look forward to! This was both fun and harrowing to watch. Fun, because it reminded me of those animal-shaped sponges compressed into gelatin capsules that expand to many times their smooshed volume when you drop them into a bath. Harrowing because the action of cutting away the plastic wrap was shown at warp speed while JD was advising us to go sloooow and take care with the scissors. I'm grateful that you mentioned that Nectar does need a few days to off-gas its odor. There's no way I'd sleep - even for a few nights - in a bed that still has a smell. So I'm humbly requesting that you include a fresh-from-the-box odor advisory for every mattress you review. Many thanks!

Quick question, I built my daughter a house bed, therefore I have the mattress lay on the carpet floor, my daughter usually moves a lot while sleeping and sometimes falls out of bed, therefore I'm trying to keep it as low as possible, would there be any drawbacks from setting it on the floor? My friend and her husband bought a casper online and it was super heavy to carry upstairs😅That's one concern of mine b/c I currently live in a top floor unit. So I'm less drawn to hybrid beds and more so all foam. Thankfully I'll be moving into a 1 story family property later this year, with the opportunity of home ownership 🤞🏾☺ In that case I might consider something more structural.

Mine looks 90% "inflated" after about an hour. I purchased the queen nectar with the extra padding.

I have unboxed an online matress before, it was very simple. Only thing that was difficult was taking it upstairs by myself.
Getting the slats onto the foundation is all but impossible. Spoiled how I felt about the mattress for a bit.
I just unboxed a tuft and needle a month ago but it's firmer than I was expecting. I'd like to return it within my trial period and try a new one
