I got myself a colour changing led lamp and it worked surprisingly well for sorting out shades so close together! As for the ones I still can't discern... let's call it texture
Purple definitely needs to be expanded upon the most in my opinion!! A darkish burgundy, new reddish-purple and a more blueish-purple/violet are some personal wishes
I agree, I think the only problem would be finding enough uses to warrant a new purple color. There’s not too many purple things in real life so it might be hard to come up with enough sets to justify it’s inclusion
I feel like reddish orange could work for red sand in minecraft to give it a different shade than orange terracotta for mesa biomes, really excited to see what all this color ends up used for, woild love to see this in a modular color scheme
The way lego city space is focusing so hard on that unique accent color is very nostalgic of the way older themes would do it! I haven't seen it in a while, it's a cool nod to Lego history
The one thing i dont like about when lego introduces a new color is it always ends up appearing very little in normal bricks at first. I wish theyd like, release bulk packs of just one color, perhaps under the classic line. This one appears a decent amount but, i just believe a large amount of each "standard" brick should always be printed for new colors; in case a color is short lived and dies out, but is a fan favorite, like a certain pair of sand colors
This a great idea. I was actively looking for something like this for dark green and for dark grey pieces, as only getting a few occasionally with bricklink orders isn't exactly the fastest way to build up enough pieces to build something. For people struggling to find certain colors, physically visiting a larger bricklink store can help. The one I visited had huge crates of unsorted lego parts, which you can pay for by the gram, regardless of what it is. It takes a ton of time, but I ended up with quite a reasonable collection of 2 colors I was missing completely. This doesn't quite work for rare colors, but you tend to be able to buy those at the bigger stores too, albeit for a price.
Rather than new colors, I would like a wider use and availability for the already existing colors: honestly, I think all the parts smaller than a 1x2 tile should be available in every color.
Definitely agree. There's times I'm building Minecraft MOCs, a type of building that requires the absolute simplest of pieces, and stuff is missing. Especially for dark orange, olive green, dark tan, dark brown etc.
It took me a while to consider a Friends set, but I've been very impressed with the builds and piece selection in the couple sets I do have! This mansion is definitely on my wishlist
It’s like a non-transparent version of transparent neon orange! It’s a pretty useful color niche honestly. Hopefully it comes out in a lot more pieces. I think their biggest color niche now is sand red. We need it back so badly
was also going to make this comparison to transparent neon orange! makes me wonder if this was in some part intentional; such that the accent colour for city space harkens back to accents on some of the really old lego space sets!
As a Bionicle fan I would like to see as many technic pieces recoloured as possible, especially the bohrok eye piece. Us Bionicle fans always love finding ways to include niche colours on mocs, but having a wide variety of pieces to choose from would also be awesome.
Is there any updates in Bionicle? I remember that when I was a kid and almost I have 20 Bionicle figures just for a 1 time Xmas gift. However, as a kid, I don't care Abt that haha
@@Chrollo17th Nope. Bionicle is dead, pretty much. They released a gift-with-purchase set as a tribute to it recently, but no indication that the theme is coming back.

Oh MAN, I was JUST looking for a LEGO color like this a few days ago, and here it is! Now if only LEGO would rerelease/remake some older colors like Sand Red and Sand Purple...
I think an important note for red-orange is the TERRAIN of the City Space sets. Those use a mix of Dark Tan and Dark Orange, and Red-Orange provides a more saturated, deeper tone than regular Orange while not blending into Dark Orange.
I also think it might be more to do an "industrial orange?" Regular orange makes a good safety color for construction workers and such, but the use in the space sets feel almost more like the parts have a rubberized protective coating sprayed on them.
Color is a really inportant part for builds and this is an amazing addition, i say this coming from minecraft where one of the main distinguishers between newer and older build is definitely the new and updated colors. Seeing them take care to add theese new colors that really pop and bring new life into theese build brings joy into my heart.
There have been a lot of good suggestions for uses for this new color in the minecraft display! I have no original suggestions so all really have to say is that I'm excited to see you leverage this new color in the display!
I'd love to see the palette without the discontinued medium orange! I can see why it was discontinued, tbh, it's barely distinct from its surrounding colors to a degree that I could easily mix it up with either of them.
Not very much of a Lego colour palette person myself, but definitely a good inclusion to builds that require orange gradients, more specifically lava 👀 Also that molding error lol
Hearing about this new color reminded me of MandRProductions review for the Betrayal at Cloud City set, more specifically his breakdown of the Twin-Pod Cloud Car and how the vehicle as a whole wasn't the right shade of red. Now that it seems to be a reality, perhaps the Lego Star Wars community can expect an updated Cloud Car model within the next few years.
I think we need a new color for sculk. In LEGO Friends they use a lot of new colors, I don't think it will cost them that much for a new color for Minecraft.
I didn’t realize a new color had been released! I like it; orange happens to be my favorite color, and this warmer hue is a really nice addition to the LEGO palette in my opinion.
Reddish Orange is almost a perfect match for the color of my first car! Certainly a much better fit than regular orange, which I made a model of my car using before. So my wishlist for reddish orange is all the pieces I need to build my car. Also reddish orange gives me fantastic 1970s vibes, so it will be super useful for any 70s inspired builds.
Something I've been really fond of with new colours is shining a UV torch on them to see whether they have UV fluorescent pigments. I build gunpla and other bandai model kits a lot, and a lot of the vibrant colours, especially from the 2010s, tend to be UV fluorescent, which is really neat. The clear green "beam effect" parts are also really fluorescent, and even a blue LED will make them glow a little, which is great for displays. I just wish the standard pink beam effect parts had been made with fluorescent dyes/pigments. Its a shame because some of the non-clear standard bright pink Bandai produces *is* UV fluorscent.
This is going to be so great for some of my builds that require gradients! I’m working on a tales of the space age extension and this might be useful!!!
Such an interesting color that’s a welcome addition although a new transparent color would be warmer welcome in my eyes this is definitely a step in the right direction. Great job showcasing the new color, loved seen the stud collection again, great vid Caleb ❤❤
I get the feeling this new orange is going to be SUPER useful, like for lava/fire or accents for arctic vehicles (like the official lego city arctic vehicle sets), and on top of that, it's a really nice colour to look at!
Unfortunately, unlike Coral and Neon Yellow, the Reddish Orange does not glow under UV Light, which I wished for because it would have blended very well with Trans Neon Orange on Ice Planet build.
Never missed the existence of this new colour, not great for 'realistic' tones in a city setting, but interested to see what elements come out in that colour and how they might be used for accents, highlights, vibrant flowers or foliage, neon lights etc.
I first found out this color exists from a single piece from the new Sandman set, specifically the piece holding the transparent stand for Lizard jumping out of the portal.
It looks like transparent neon orange but without being transparent. If we somehow got a chainsaw or skis in that color we could make a modern Ice Planet 2002 recreation, it wouldn’t be as cool without the transparency but it would have the vibrancy that modern transparent orange is missing
I'd really like it used for all pieces but particularly for minifigure parts and hairpieces too. We need it for flower parts and foliage too. I'm sure we'll see it used in upcoming botanical sets!

Cheesy, you should really lean into this whole color thing. You’re one of the few moc builders I’ve seen use rare out of production lego colors. That gimmick could give you an even bugger name in the community. Love the vids. Keep it up!

This is a neat color, I’m excited to see it with minifigure pieces like hands and legs. A color I think Lego still needs to make is a darker purple, almost mixed with black.
to me, this sorta highlighted the absence of a hot pink/reddish pink to go between red and magenta. The incredible gradient just by it's side just made the distance between red and magenta even more obvious (also hot pink is one of my fave colours and i would love to see some hot pink lego)
I'm very curious to see if Dreamzzz will use it! Those sets have always had a lot of fun with colors. I think this would have been great for Nexo Knights too...
I've been working on a UCS scale BB-8 for a while now, but LEGO® keeps releasing new shades of orange instead of producing the standard elements I need in normal orange. I thought about changing the shade of orange twice already (first it was dark orange, and currently it's bright light orange), just because of the available pieces. Now there's yet another shade I could switch to. But at least this one would be screen accurate for a BB-8.
I really like this color! I feel like it'll fit right in with Minecraft builds as extra texturing for lava, or acacia. Then dark orange could maybe be used for copper?
I feel it's a great acacia fit too! Hopefully we get more pieces in the color this year. Masonry bricks in reddish orange would be awesome! And 2x2 tiles of course
I modified the Lego Mario Clown Car so I can have one for each Koopaling and Roy’s was the only one I wasn’t super proud of. I think this is a much better approximation of the color Nintendo uses, though the pieces for that set aren’t the most common
Reddish orange is my personal favourite shade, not talking about LEGO mind you. Works amazingly for anything involving fire or fire like aspects and an accent for anything regular orange or red does but without the specific vibe of either but carrying both in a way.
I definitely don’t like the neon yellow pieces because they are vaguely see through but what color I do like is the sand green color as used in the Sanctum Sanctorum Modular and Boutique Hotel Modular which interestingly enough both times used only for the roof color
My favorite color is orange and seeing the new audition of reddish-orange is really special to see as we have more possibilities to expand on, especially for some city construction buildings or Minecraft builds! One day Caleb, the whole board of colored Lego studs will fill that board you made :D
This color is my all time favorite color. I don't play with Lego, and haven't since I was a kid, but now I'm tempted to find a Lego brick store to just buy one single one of these Lego bricks.
i feel like that gradient you showed would be perfect if the discontinued orange was removed and we had a color between standard yellow and neon yellow
The first run in I had with the new red orange was in the new lego city space sets! I was freaking out and my wife didnt understand why i was so excited about the new color.
I really like this new color. It looks pretty accurate to acacia wood! i think it would be great for the minecraft display and a possible acacia village in the future :P
What we really nead is a gray tone that sits between light bluish gray and dark bluish gray. A medium bluish gray, if you will. There are a lot of instances where I wanna make something gray, but the light one is too light and the dark one is too dark. If they can make this many shades of orange then they can make another gray.
I do wonder what the discussions were like that this of all colors was chosen. Could be a trendy color, like coral? 😂 I suppose I'm a bit behind on my Pantones of the year
It's funny seeing all these colors while when I was a kid the only brick colors were white, red, yellow, blue, black, and gray (with green only for trees, flowers, and base plates). Orange? HA! :D Make that into an '80s-themed Lego Masters challenge: Only use those colors! That'd make some heads explode.
…and brown, but like green, only for a small selection of specialized pieces. Mostly minifig tools. Until Pirates used it for ship hulls, masts, & rigging, as well as treasure chests and tree trunks. But that was still about it for brown for many years.
When I was a kid, I woulda [metaphorically] killed for a lot of the Lego colors we have today. But now, I sorta wish they were used more sparingly. And sorta think that using the full palette less would be a waste-I’m conflicted. See, the upside of basically having 6 colors was two-fold. It was practical: if you wanted to build stuff in consistent colors, odds were good that you had plenty of whatever colors you preferred. Roughly a sixth of your collection was going to be blue, and a sixth gray, and a sixth red. And so on. As kids, we very rarely ran into the problem of having a part but not in the wanted color (unless it was because you’d used them up, or it was a new part)-most parts showed up in all 6 colors, though not always with the same frequency. And it was aesthetic: those 6 basic colors, with red/blue/yellow being bright and the gray being relatively light, made Lego look distinct from everything else, both the subtle shading and muted colors of reality, and the more-varied and often-gradient colors of other toys. And to this day, that’s part of what I think of as the Lego aesthetic, and sorta what I _want_ when I build. But at the same time, we’d never have something like the botanicals, or Elves, or Life on Mars, without those colors. And I won’t deny that I loved it as a kid and still love it today when a new transparent color shows up! So I think in my ideal world, lines like Creator and City and Ninjago and Technic-the ongoing, apparently evergreen, lines-would stick to a slightly-expanded palette: maybe red, orange, yellow, green, blue, white, black, light bley, dark bley, plus transparent blue, red, green, orange, yellow, clear, black. And licensed lines, “adult” sets, and other themes would use the expanded palette either for realism (botanicals, modular buildings, things like Central Perk) or to set them apart visually (Elves, Monkie Kid, Nexo Knights, maybe Friends). Of course, if that were really the case, I’d probably be complaining about how hard it is to get all those other colors because they weren’t used enough or we’re only used in lines and sets I wasn’t interested in. See? - I told you I was conflicted .
I think this could work really well as a new color for lava!
Ooh! That's a good idea.
i think especially mixed with the other orange used in the lava it would look really cool!!

This is a neat color, I’m excited to see it with minifigure pieces like hands and legs. A color I think Lego still needs to make is a darker purple, almost mixed with black.
Yeah, that would be really nice. I feel like the Friends theme would have a lot of fun with such a purple color too!
I desperately waiting for massive use of dark turquoise and purple in Technic series, e.g. the whole supercar in one of these colours
That would be awesome
to me, this sorta highlighted the absence of a hot pink/reddish pink to go between red and magenta. The incredible gradient just by it's side just made the distance between red and magenta even more obvious
(also hot pink is one of my fave colours and i would love to see some hot pink lego)
A few others had suggested that too! That would look great as part of the palette
Do you think it'd work for copper blocks? It may be a bit bright but it could work
I still think dark orange is the best fit for copper, but this could be great for acacia :o
O such a bold color. That color will come in handy for lots of firey/ lava mocs.. great new color.. great job and review..
It's weird how regular orange really isn't that common of a color. I've always been surprised by its limitations too!
This would be a great color for the Mario theme! It fits that vibrant palette really well
Reddish orange is my personal favourite shade, not talking about LEGO mind you.
Works amazingly for anything involving fire or fire like aspects and an accent for anything regular orange or red does but without the specific vibe of either but carrying both in a way.
It is a lovely color! I'm really excited to see how this gets used in future sets
The gradient looks so satisfying ngl.
Ikr? I'm definitely gonna make more lil gradients now 😂
If you squint your eyes on the pallet, ists so satisfying❤
I know right? They blend together so nicely!
Never knew I needed this color but wow it really is great!
It's quite lovely. Love how it fills in that gradient!
I definitely don’t like the neon yellow pieces because they are vaguely see through but what color I do like is the sand green color as used in the Sanctum Sanctorum Modular and Boutique Hotel Modular which interestingly enough both times used only for the roof color
Sand green is a classic!
My favorite color is orange and seeing the new audition of reddish-orange is really special to see as we have more possibilities to expand on, especially for some city construction buildings or Minecraft builds!
One day Caleb, the whole board of colored Lego studs will fill that board you made :D
Ha! We just named a kitten MewMew. So sweet.
One day, one day :,)
LEGO should either bring back some of their older colours or introduce a system that allows custom colour mixing for pieces.
That would be quite interesting.
as a colorblind person, i see this as a very colorless change.
RIP 😭
This color is my all time favorite color. I don't play with Lego, and haven't since I was a kid, but now I'm tempted to find a Lego brick store to just buy one single one of these Lego bricks.
Be careful though, soon you'll be a LEGO addict! It's a slippery slope 🤣
I love your Periodic table of lego colors
Thank you 😂 That lil collection makes me happy
I really hope Lego brings back classic colors like Sand Purple.
Same! I feel there's a place for those in so many sets today.
What I'm excited about is those transparent garage door pieces
Those are so awesome haha
I would really like to see Reddish-Orange reverse tiles but more importantly I would really like to see Transparent Reddish-Orange
Some 2x2 inverted tiles (and regular ones, too!) would be so awesome for the Minecraft stuff I do!
Definitely gonna use this on some mustafar Mocs!
It's a lovely lava color! That would look really cool
i feel like that gradient you showed would be perfect if the discontinued orange was removed and we had a color between standard yellow and neon yellow
It's slowly getting there! Elsewhere though the palette definitely needs some love - greys and purples especially I think.
perfect colour for texturing dark orange
True!
Please do more color palette videos! This was great!
I'm so glad this has been so popular! I'll certainly have to do more.
Great video about the new color
I wonder how it could be used to represent fire
It is quite similar to the good ol' trans neon red, so I think it would look great as fire!
The first run in I had with the new red orange was in the new lego city space sets! I was freaking out and my wife didnt understand why i was so excited about the new color.
Ha! New colors are such a huge deal! Everyone should appreciate that 🤣
It’s exciting when LEGO makes a new color.
It really is! Especially a color like this has widespread usefulness.
I really like this new color. It looks pretty accurate to acacia wood! i think it would be great for the minecraft display and a possible acacia village in the future :P
I sure hope we get masonry bricks in the color! That would be so awesome.
@@CheeseyStudios Oh absolutely!
Wanna see a desert temple module soon, I think you can incorporate reddish-orange in it perfectly.
Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze part of one in!
What we really nead is a gray tone that sits between light bluish gray and dark bluish gray. A medium bluish gray, if you will.
There are a lot of instances where I wanna make something gray, but the light one is too light and the dark one is too dark.
If they can make this many shades of orange then they can make another gray.
Star Wars would go nuts with such a color!
@@CheeseyStudiosExactly.
Thats one of my favourite shades of orange awesome!
It's a lovely color, isn't it?
Interesting color, I also never thought we needed it
I do wonder what the discussions were like that this of all colors was chosen. Could be a trendy color, like coral? 😂 I suppose I'm a bit behind on my Pantones of the year
I think the new reddish orange will be very useful for anything industrial.
Definitely
I’ve wanted this color for so long!! I call it paprika. Now all I need is a dark purple/red wine color
Paprika! I love that name so much!
I think Reddish orange would be a good color for a level of the badlans
Potentially, yeah!
It's funny seeing all these colors while when I was a kid the only brick colors were white, red, yellow, blue, black, and gray (with green only for trees, flowers, and base plates). Orange? HA! :D
Make that into an '80s-themed Lego Masters challenge: Only use those colors!
I feel like one of the international LM shows actually had that challenge! I can't remember who or what season though...
Definitely a cool color they added. But..... where are the discontinued colors 🥲.
I'd love to see some brought back. Discontinuing a color is always the saddest thing...
I got a Lego ad before the video started…
LEGO knows their audience it seems 🤣
