I’m sure this a great way of doing it but I found if you put your camp near emerald ranch just a little spot up north from there you can farm the cattle and chickens and fill the materials really fast being you are only 200 yards from camp and every time you return the animals all reset and are guaranteed good to perfect pelts every time. Just something I found playing but your strategy is really good too. 😁
Awesome share… I love it!!!
😁👍🏼🤍
The one problem with that is you’ll get a bounty and have the law on you in a minute
i always do that
What? Lol
How do you put your camp in specific spots
Never pay for supplies, always take the mission. The supply missions are fast, and earn 500 XP and from 5 to 20 materials, on top of refilling the supply bar. Plus you'll usually get to shoot some people, which is yet more loot. Also, hunting around you camp isn't a terrible way to collect materials, but it's far from the most efficient use of your time. Once you have the hunting wagon, keep your eyes peeled for high quality animals, and bag them, throw them in your wagon, and go back to whatever you were doing. Since bounties and stranger missions pay based on how long they take, you're being paid to hunt. Searching for treasure is another good 'double-duty' hunting method.
Not always true. I've received 1 unit of material more than once. Even though I delivered a fully intact wagon.
@@kharjothekhajiit1669 Because your materials bar was already full.
@@AaronMichaelLong I meant supplies, not material.
Once you hit level 100, and or max out the role, xp us useless, only lower level players usually do the missions, not worth the effort imo
I generally agree with this, but sometimes it’s a waste of time. I’m not going to spend 10 minutes looking for a turkey (which are suddenly few and far between) when I can just order supplies and do something more interesting to earn XP and money.
Another tip that a friend shared with me was to collect the so called “pocket change” it’s the bull frogs, squirrels etc.. now it’s super easy for me to get that daily for the 20 carcasses donated to Crips within 10 min
@Mariya...
Great share! I love those kind of inside tips.
👍🏼
Nice tip
thanks for this tip. Here's a great tip for you: don't use shotguns on toad, frogs and squirells.
Harriet is sad you killed 20 of her friends for gold. But Cripps is happy.
@@TheSuperPsychoKiller um ok
For perfect pelts lasso and use your knife to get a perfect kill saves ammo 😊
I believe using the bow on medium/large game animals like bucks, pronghorns, and wolves, etc... should also retain their quality; tho I can't hop online and check right now but I do remember that you get your arrow back. However, I might be completely wrong since I haven't played in quite a while and PS4 is currently broken.
@@thanatos8899 that is correct
U must be real broke if u have to save ammo lol
@@SagaXBL nope have 114k 😊 made most of that through not wasting ammo on animals and just killing with knife 👍
@@chrisjones1670 lmao, congrats sure it took a good bit of grinding
I find Big Valley to be a great place for camp for similar reasons: It's fairly open and away from trouble, but its also RIFE with pronghorn and elk that have nowhere to go with the occassional wolf pack to keep my camp stew supplied.
Big Valley and emerald has always been my favorite hunting spots. Emerald is busier but you have 3 star white tail buck and deer all over the place.

Wish we could've broken into banks in free roam would've been a great RP opportunity and also an awesome experience in general.
1:20 reminds me of something Arthur said in story mode “Always pull the trigger on empty lungs”
It's true cos you're the most still when you're holding your breathe on the exhale. Any sharpshooter will tell ya.
Also apply irl, less likely to hurt your chest on an empty lungs
This is my first video watching you and lemme tell you I AM OBSESSED WITH YOUR VIBE

this guy is different, he's calm and no any edits, just text
Me: 1)set camp to big valley near river and forest
2) grab myself a horse in the forest and now i have 2 horse
3) hunt bears and dear and moose they always spawn there
4) resupply mission is near max(3min)
5) your supply bar will always full
6) try it and enjoy

@Nikolai Goven

Great feedback... thank you!
👍🏼
His videos are so engaging and absorbing, aren't they?
(Be sure to watch the one about Butcher Creek-it is pure genius!)
Dude, these videos are EXCELLENT! I'm level 282 and even _I_ learned a few things! 😁 You definitely deserve more subs. No annoying music, very well-spoken with charisma, superb editing, short and sweet explanations, it's perfect! I salute you, sir. lol I have a few methods of my own that really helped me with the trader role:
I set my camp in the swamps, preferably in the northeast section south of Van Horne, there's a hook-looking section of the map. No annoying trees in the way, near the railroad track, just flat, muddy terrain. It's _packed_ with gators, turtles, large birds, muskrats, frogs, toads, etc. You can fit many gator teeth, feathers, plumes, and small carcasses in your "magical pocket" as I call it. I even go there to stock up on plumes, feathers, and little carcasses for later or to help friends out. You'd be surprised how quick you can fill up your meter with just feathers, teeth and perfect toad/frog carcasses! I keep extra for daily challenges, too. Plus, all these animals are very easy to hunt. Since camp is so close, I don't even bother with my hunting wagon. Keep up the great work!
Oh, btw Fox, if you wanna see a hilarious and weird RDO glitch, go to my channel. Madam Nazar gets attacked...by wolves! lol It's the damndest thing I've ever seen.
(I promise I'm not self-promoting, that's super-lame. I've got plenty of subs, I just thought you'd enjoy it. lol)
@SunBunz
GREAT INFORMATION!!!
You should do a CZcams video of everything that you just mentioned on your channel because these are the REAL ways to make quick money in Red Dead Online.
Can you reply a link to your CZcams video here where Madam Nazar gets attacked LMAO??? 😳 ...so we can all check it out.
Thanks!!!
😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I just wrote a post on this video saying that I saw a guy yesterday who had his camp set up at the edge of water in Lemonye . He had killed so many gators around his camp..almost ten carcasses I counted...then he simply walked them back a few feet to his camp site . 🔥💯 I was like...why didn't I think of that ? 🤔
I do that same thing in the swamp its very close to camp and my meter fills fast. But watch your step gaters are hungry :)
@@jessyterpoorten7197 exactly. lol Use dynamite in the water if you’re gonna cross it.
@@greg1503
That's what I like to do. Been playing for approximately 4 months.
I rarely use my hunting wagon.
If you’re hunting by yourself and buy your resupplies, switch lobbies to your camp and supplies will be immediately supplied instead of waiting. Saves time to get production going
Thank you, but as a low rank trader, I need this resupplies for the xp but if your level 20 that's a great idea
thank you
Just started RDO and want to be a hunter, thanks for this, Subbed.
I would recommend not paying $25 just so you could be supplying I recommend doing the supply mission because you get 500 Trader XP for each bag you deliver. Also you should save up the $ 850 dollars for The hunting wagon that holds five carcasses and 10 small animals for example squirrels bunnies rabbits raccoons.
where his vanp is set up at ?
I usually like the hunt north of strawberry near the trapper. There's a tiny rock which we can jump up on. Use 1 predator bait. And alot of animals come to feast. Ranging from 5-6 grey wolf, 2-3 wild boars, 5 valley cayote, 1 grizzlie bears/American black bear, 1 cougar. You can even hunt squirell, jack rabbit, badger, racoon, muskrat, or any birds around that area while you wait. Brining the wagon and putting it aside. Just going back and forth carrying carcasses.
😁👍🏼🤍
Nice video! Extra tip: steal 1 horse and do the same thing you did, but now you can bring 3 carcasses, just whistle to your horse and he´ll be next to you and the stolen horsie all the time!
I have been doing it like that for a long time, just not in the desert. And I love the video style, like watching a 50's educational film in school. Loved it
@tranquility choas
Great share... I appreciate it!
Love your screen name BTW!
😁👍🏼
invest in the naturalist, harriets legendary animals are god sent
I load up hunting cart with legendary's and keep cripps going non stop. Getting tired of being sprayed in the face by Harriet. I think she really needs a date.
Its really hard to do that role with this one unless you time your visits to Harriet at the end of your game session. But the more roles you pick up the more stuff gets unlocked for you. EDIT meant to say at the beginning of your session where you can hand in your previous day's samples.
@@neverforsaken Its not "hard", you simply do what you just said. As soon as I get sprayed, I look at all the other things I have been putting off. In a way, in insures that you don't neglect all the other roles in the game.
Good tip, this thing makes Cripps like passive role. 😉
@@dhewton1966 Yep, right on..that’s why I said unless you time the visit. Good idea to use the after spray time to do something else productive 👍
Congrats on the monetization ON man! Road to 1M here you go!

Thanks so much for the great feedback! 😁👍🏼👍🏼
For me i do two legendary animal missions and it’s done
@Three Eyed Henrix
There are definitely other great ways to get the job done.
Nice share! 👍🏼
From Harriet?
@@windows95_de yes kill two animals from her missions and you’ll get it
thats a great way, but you have to keep in mind, if you normal hunts, you also get a ton of meat and parts that you can sell, all of that add up
thank you so much! it saves ammo and time and plus it’s nice, just take sample and kill them??! or just kill them
and don’t take sample..
Amazing video editing and commentary man, super easy to understand and is perfect for the game you’re demonstrating! Thanks for the guide!

@Johnny Ramone

Putting your camp by the swamps makes it really easy to farm alligators since they’re literally everywhere and they spawn basically all around your camp if you get a good spot. Also there’s a lot of birds you can take out but sometimes the gators eat them lol
White tail deers and bucks give more material but legendary pelts from Harriet are better.
If you don’t have a hunting wagon you can tame a horse to stow a carcass, stow another into your horse and make it follow you, then drag a carcass with your lasso. Dragged carcasses don’t lose their quality after you initially kill them. Great Plains is best for this strategy. Also you can get 3 carcasses before calling your slow ass hunting wagon.
Stealing trader deliveries from other players grants you 37 materials wether you steal a small or large trader wagon. But it’s better to just do legendary Harriet missions because driving from one side of the map to the other for 37 miserable material is boring.
You can also take the train tracks as a short cut when you’re going to Benedict point, scratching post, valentine, emerald station, almost al them them when you set your camp in tall trees or Great Plains.
Egret trinket for 10% chance of getting better pelt qualities also helps. Way to get and quite helpful.
When delivering, when you aim in your wagon, the wagon steers itself. Keep moving forward and shoot up grievers and bandits. Probably the best tip.
@solisium
Great share!!!
😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Finally a CZcams channel that doesn't include griefer shooting griefer
congratiulations for 1,000 subs! i remember joining in like 300 subs, and i always knew you could make it, and i think that you are only going up from that point,
edit: 1:09 If you don't use the campside carrcses method, i would reccomend a bow and not a bolt action, the noise from the shot get all of the animals in the area to run away

good work, good presentation. Loved to see more people who plays with role playing.!
Brilliant. This is what I have been doing in Big Valley, the Bayou, and New Hanover. Heartland overflow is a great spot as well if you're up north. Great video. I dig your style.
@Butterfly Milk
Great location tips!
Thanks for the positive feedback! 😁👍🏼
I second the Heartland Overflow area. Especially if you can get your camp located right along the east-west rails due north of Emerald Station, under the big tree at the northeast edge of the overflow basin.. This puts you 30-40 seconds' ride from the Moonshine shack just up the hill to the north-northeast, and a Gus trader post is about 30 seconds farther around the mountain on that same trail. Great spawns, close proximity to Gus, moonshine shack and the Emerald Station fast travel post if needed.
Haven't been able to get my camp to spawn up there lately though. Sucks. It keeps spawning me near Valentine after I had that Heartland Overflow location for almost a solid week. Fingers crossed...
@@arcanewyrm6295 i moved my shack from that area because of the ragged roads on the way to van horn and the just ragged roads period. bayou is much better for me and with the wilderness fast travel its easy to get to gus from anywhere...i used to love the area you are speaking of but the bayou is my home now with all the good hunting.also the flat roads are excellent for running shine.small gators and pelicans etc fill a camp faster than deer and or any bison you kill at overflow other than tatanka bison..guaranteed..
@@danparker1976 Good stuff! Thanks for the input!
@@danparker1976 I like using Cinematic Mode for deliveries, especially moonshiner. Works great to get through the roadblock with no damage or chase. Usually works door to door unless an NPC cart gets in the way. Then just go around and then resume Cinematic mode.

Wow, that whole thing about dismissing your horse and being able to call your hunting wagon, and then dismissing it, has helped out a lot. I'm trying to decide whether I should take trader or not, but what stops me is the unwanted PVP it invites.
Dude I love your videos.
@Alexander Vega
Thanks so much!!!
😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Glad to know I was on the right track. Haven't played in ages and just got bk into it 2/3 days ago. Started off in a not so great hunting area (before getting trader roll), but once I got the table needed for trading I realized I had to relocate for optimal productivity. Decided to move to the Bayou 1st, to be closer to bounty board, but ultimately ended up moving to Great Plains for Trader Roll effectiveness. Decided to do so based on similar factors that you mentioned like wide visibility and "region game type". Not too familiar with the map and location based ecosystems, but figured the Great Plains would be the ideal spot for trader role since some Native American tribes would use them for hunting. Was curious about being able to wrangle live animals while hunting, but being able to lasso and drag is pretty useful and good to know, so thanks for the info bro.
Got a new sub btw 😉👍

I've been hunting from horseback close to camp for awhile, mostly because I generally play alone and it's just convenient and usually quicker than pulling out the wagon.

@JohnRichard Hayes
Hey John, I took a year off of work last year for the COVID 19 shut down and I uploaded as many RDO videos as I could over that 1 year period.
I recently just went back to work… I work in the TV/movie industry in Los Angeles and my work days are 14 to 16 hours a day, so I haven’t had any time to upload anything new lately.
I started working on videos for the latest “Blood Money” missions, but unfortunately I haven’t had any time to finish them.
I will try to upload new content as soon as I can!
I appreciate everyone’s patience.

You got my sub, but looking at how well your subs are doing now I gotta say I am not surprised, quality content 🤘
Thanks GFT!
😁👍🏼🤍
1:05 Obviously, you also need a bow with small arrows, if you want perfect snakes and other small birds and animals! A lasso is good for pronghorns, etc, to then kill with a knife, if you have no rifle. 3:10 You can also use the lasso to drag an extra carcass behind your horse, which many don't realise (not many species though). You can also use another tamed wild horse, or stolen, to stow stuff.
A man i needed a channel like this
@ActionVerse…

Nice method of filling up Cripps, :) Normally I'll hunt my way around the map, to and from whatever activity I'm currently working on, so that by the time I eventually get back to camp before ending my play session I can drop everything off. Cripps is mostly a side-business for the way I've begun playing the game, something to do as I'm travelling from locale to locale. I found it less grindy this way, :)
I love Silent Stead as well.
Great video!

Your explanation is amazing bro
I keep both materials bar and goods bar full at all times. When I make a run, I bring something back with me. Its always full. Lately, I haven't touched my trader table. Your tip about hunting around camp has been an enormous help in keeping the trade flowing. Something to note. If you want a good showing of birds, skin a peccory, ram, or pronghorn and leave the carcass and stay nearby. In juat a few moments buzzards, condors and othe scavengy birds show up and you can take your pick of the flock.
Well played.
Two back to back legendary animal mission would fill that up immediately. The best ones to do are the shadow buck and rutile horned ram because they’re quick and give you plenty of materials
Do the spirit bear the bison and the gator , easiest ones you could do . For the bear just hop up on a rock and he can't kill you

I like to use hunting wagon and have camp somewhere where there's flat hunting ground with a lot of animal respawns like west elizabeth, like that flowery area. I just drive around in my wagon, and shoot every animal, bird, critter, deer, etc and load up all the carcasses in the wagon. Usually I only get a short distance away before my wagon is near full, then I turn back and there's usually more animals on return trip. The advantages are that carcasses are worth more and it saves on the skinning animation time. Downside is it feels like more of a grind.
Personally I love the spot west of Blackwater, their is a cougar spawn point that happens whenever you go from Strawberry and back and those cougars give 13.5 materials at perfect condition and 17 when you reach trader rank 11. I prefer this spot over the spot in the video because of it being very close to Blackwater and the fact I get bucks which can give 10 materials in perfect condition and 12 or so when you reach rank 11.
@GameLandMaster
Great share GLM!
😁👍🏼
I also have that spot as a hunting place, you can get a lot of animals such as deers and bucks, and Cougars spawn often, also Black Bears and Wolfs, and if you go to Tall Trees you could get a Grizzly Bear as well
Cougars and white tail bucks fill up camp so fast but now we got legendary harriet missions saves a lot of time.
Great video👍 Could you make a moonshiner role guide?
Now I'm a new sub!
@DreamMaker
I appreciate you!!!

Congratulations on the monetization!!!!
Thanks Tracy!

I'm level 700 something and I think you do pretty good videos for the new players.
So much work, this game really is like a Full Time job simulator more than anything fun
😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Just got into red dead online a week ago and started the trader role. I’m currently in Great Plains. Think you could put together a plan for this location? It has a great supply of birds, deer, pronghorn and at night you can find bison. Either way, this was a really well done and insightful video my man. Way to go and congrats on your accomplishments on CZcams! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Thanks BD, suggestion noted… I appreciate the love!!
😁👍🏼🤍
Yes congrats on 1000 i was in the video let's go like I said before great content keep up the good work.
@Falcon Gaming
You know how we do it...
Thanks!!!
😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Never thought about changing camp locations thanks
Absolutely my Favorite RDRO video so far. Looking forward to watching more
@Gavin Steiner
Awesome Gavin… thanks so much!!!

Me myself I hunt gators all the time because they more easy to get a 3 star pelt
Me myself as a player who sometimes have a mischievous mind when I see random people hunting gators... laso em, drag em, dump them in front of gator, watch them mauled the moment they get up, and fly to St. Dennis with laugh 🤷
very rare actually but I did it few times lol
@@caezero2072 I see we have a griefer.... I like killing you people until you leave the lobby 😎😎😎
@@TheTwisted869 I been playing like 3 months but I started making videos of me killing griefers... Look at this noob! lol twitter.com/homeboymatt69/status/1357998450911158273?s=20
@@TheTwisted869 Oh and this guy flipped me off while I was eating my breakfast! lol twitter.com/homeboymatt69/status/1352746150521139201?s=20
And the big game meat for easy gold cores
Congrats for that very big success with this video! I was very happy to hear this, really I love seeing this kind of things happening. And also I want to thank you about talking about it because I have this kind of ideas and still haven't shown them but it made me think that it's better to work on them quicker and then the things I was on a way to do now
Thank you so much Alex!
😁👍🏼🤍
only weapons you need are a bow and a varmint rifle. Bow covers all different animal types (excluding legendary) and varmint rifle is for all birds and some small critters.
Didn't know your wagon held material after being dismissed😱
Hunt bison, fill it with 5 , then call your horse for rest to grab and throw to your camp.
@@jessifer23f The Bison aren't to heavy to lift into the wagon ?
@@greg1503 you can't lift bison or elk unskinned.
@@jessifer23f So everything that goes into wagon is skinned then ? Small game is ok though ?
@Daniel Griffith I too am curious. Never happened to me.
I love your videos man there so relaxing 👍❤️ and your a hella underrated Rdr2 CZcamsr. Keep up the good work.

@Xfanatic YT
Trust me... I wish I could post 2 times a week too LOL!

Let me just tell you that this video was great.
I follow a few RDO channels to have access to tips and weekly updates but they always seem to focus on fast ways of getting XP, gold and kills… which really ain’t my speed.
Red Dead Redemption is such a slow pace game that this rush to get everything done fast sounds off to me.
Your video seemed to perfectly capture not only the good aspects of having the trader role “machine” working but also on how to enjoy your time doing it.
So, thanks again. I’ll make sure to add more of your videos to my playlist.
Cheers!
@Filipe ConcoHoras
Great share Filipe… yeah most gamers want to reach “the end of the game” more than they want to experience playing the game.
They want to hurry to have everything and win the game… but just like you said, “this ain’t that type of game”.
Great feedback my friend!

Bisons work, harriet s legendary animals' blackwater with 3 cougar spawns and bears, bucks, big horns, elks 3 free roam legendary animals spawn there blackwater is the best place to be. When selling go to gaptoothridge, selling distance is not so far when u sell there.
Where r the bisons at? I’m new to the game but still don’t have my hunting wagon. I managed to get a moose yesterday just the felt not the body. I got a lot of bears too and cougars im not level 20 but still learning only been playing for 4 days now. Trying to level up and get more gold what’s the best way, that’s not to difficult, I haven’t talked to the lady that sprays you in the face I’m not strong enough yet I still need a wagon, plan to hunt first and get as much stuff as possible and then talk to her. Need a group I play on Xbox. Let me know i am good at hunting and gathering and shoot still learning the controls.

You know those old driving videos they show in driving school ...that's what his video reminded me of
LMAO… yeah it kinda does!
😆👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That with the huntingwagon is what i do also. Even between bountyhunter missions
@lost lonewolf
Great way to use the hunting wagon!
😁👍🏼
Go to toward the "N" in Amberinoe, call your hunting wagon when u get there, steal a horse (NPC'S usually walk by 1 data time)....everything but Bears, Gators, and Panthers spawn there. It's a bit out of the way, but it's a goldmine for hunting. This was my cash cow during beta.
You make great videos man! Its so refreshing to find a RDR2 youtuber with a proper nice mic set up!
