Seems like a good speed - plenty of power to be fun but not so much that it wants to self destruct. How strong is the gearbox in that thing? Pretty decent? Does it have a slipper clutch?
Nice run, brother! Thing needs a wheelie bar now 😄 42mph is fast for an off road buggy imo! I didn't even realize until you said about the braking.. you only get the rear wheels with 2wd when you're stopping.

Its worth the $139.00. it has no slipper clutch.
That's the trouble speed runs with only rear brakes. 42 impressive.
