- In this video I show how to make a hydraulic hose with a gate portable hose crimping machine.

60% of the time they work every time 😁. I actually wear safety glasses a lot now that I’ve had some really close calls with things hitting my eyeball. I didn’t realize I wasn’t wearing them until it was too late because I was preoccupied with the video.

hi, can you crimp different brands of fittings with the same die or does it only work with 'Gates' brand or style fittings?
I think it only works with gates. Parker has a different style crimper I believe. And those are the only ones I’m familiar with.

Of course, I would be crazy to not use ANY eye protection. A closed eye is a safe eye. 😂
