In this video I take you on a neighborhood tour of Squirrel Hill in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. We walk around several places including Carnegie Melon University, Phipps Conservatory, Schenley Park, Frick Park, Blue Slide Park, Vendor Bender, a few different houses that are currently for sale in the area and more!
If you are looking to buy, sell, or invest in the area please reach out and lets see how I can help you!
Back in the day (1983) I had the privilege of staying in Pittsburgh for corporate training in offices at the US Steel building for 2 weeks. I stayed at Hilton located at 3 rivers park and fell in love with the Pittsburgh. I did tour CMU and the hill. What a wonderful time I had while I was there. And the people were nothing less than wonderful. Thank you for bringing those wonderful memories. Oh, I was there during the arts festival and met so many performers were staying at the hotel many of whom performed in the park. Excellent city.
Nice I’m glad the city left a good impression on you! Seems like people are pretty polarized in their opinions either they love it or they hate it 😂
Nice video. Brings back so many memories when I repaired Xerox in the very early 70’s at Pitt and CMU.
Thank you! I’m sure a lot has changed since then 😮 Around what year did you leave?
You survived the Murray Avenue Bridge, where a dog was electrocuted not far form the time you recorded this video.
Oh man that’s crazy I didn’t hear about that one but I just looked it up. Good thing I was wearing shoes 😳
@@TimRobertsRE The dog actually saved the owners life by telling him to back o0ff. He is elderly and should sue, but was too upset, saying its would not bring the dog back. Even shoes might not stop that, depending on what you wear. nice videos!
I thought Schenley Park was in Oakland. (Along with Carnegie Mellon and Phipps.)
Well Schenley park borders both Oakland and squirrel hill so they kind of share it 😂 but you are right Phipps is definitely more on the Oakland side of the park. As for cmu I think technically it’s part of squirrel hill but yes many of its buildings are in Oakland. It can be weird how everything blends into each other sometimes
@@TimRobertsRE Yeah everything is pretty close together. Pittsburgh is unique. I went to Allderdice by the way.
@@FrancoM7747 oh cool! So you know the area very well 🙌🐿️
@@TimRobertsRE Indeed. I would suggest Mineo's pizza 🍕
@@FrancoM7747 I’ll check it out!
Did that store have any Fizzy Bubbulah?
😂 I’m not sure what that is but maybe!
@@TimRobertsRE A tiny bit of humor. It was a fictional soft drink from an Adam Sandler movie. 😸
How cold was it that day? 🤔
It was about 38 degrees 🥶

How many squirrels are there in squirrel hill?
Definitely at least 2
You really don't want to know. They rule that town.
