GREAT INTERVIEW THE TWO OF YOU. SITTING AND TALKING MUSIC & HISTORY ALONG WITH LIKES AND DISLIKES. LOTS OF DREAMS THAT HAVE COME TRUE FOR THE BOTH OF YOU.
YOU TWO ARE MY FAVORITE ARTISTS FROM THE ERA WE KIVE IN NOW. AND PERSONALTIES THAT JUST ARE THE CLASS ACTS THAT WE ALL NEED. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO .
I click on these interviews thinking, I can't sit here for a whole damn hour, I'll just catch a few minutes and move on. Then the hour goes by and I watched the whole thing.
And look how it all turned out. Thank god they got together to make some of the best music around and to save sothern rock! Thank you Charlie and the boy's!
2 of my Favorite Guitar Brother's 🎸 🎸❤❤✌️✌️👏👏🌟🌟🧨🧨 Thank you Joe
The more i see of Charlie Star the more impressed i am
Y’all two are two of my favorite, hear y’all everyday on my work playlist . Stay down to earth, would love to buy y’all a beer ( non alcoholic for Charlie ) forget the beer ,so arbitrary , let’s do dinner .
It's very full filing to me that Joe loves my favorite song by Balckberry Smoke. Waiting for the Thunder.
Too best singer song writers today love you guys thanks nerdville
Spectacular. Love both you guys! And love Jackyl too!!!
Blackberry Smoke a great band love them ❤️ thank you
These two cats are the best modern day guitar players bar none.
Charlie and his Band speak to me and every kid that grew up poor on a Farm in middle America.
They appeal to people with calloused hands and furrowed brows.
Both Blackberry Smoke and Joe Bonamassa have evoked tears from me. In a good way.
THAT makes music worthwhile. I was at a Roger Waters Show and he had a Lady that sung all three octaves of the Great Gig in the Sky
I turned around and looked behind us and there was not a dry eye to be seen. Music needs to MOVE us. Scope out our friend Teresa Russell.
She’s AMAZING. Cheers fellas.
Love Joe even more that he knows and appreciates my favorite band, Blackberry Smoke! I used to go to Clark Music when I lived near downtown Atlanta. Miss that store.
Now start planning for a BBS + Bonamassa Tour!!!
Two of my favorite guitarists
Joe this was awesome man blackberry smoke is my favorite band I’m saw them live 4 times they all sign one of my les Paul s that I had to sell to help my little girls u r awesome joe one day I hope I can get another les Paul with your signature thanks man❤
Charlie seems like such a nice person, and he's so articulate.
Enjoying these interviews. I loved the power trio performance "Live at Rockpalast." I had to have the dvd. Joe is amazing anywhere, anytime, but this was rockin! Casual attire, bass player, and drummer. Smaller venue, wish I could have been there.
There’s nothing like having your bowels melt in front of a cranked Marshall! Visceral. Feel the noise.
I met Charlie Starr and Blackberry Smoke years ago they were playing at a truck show at the Iowa 80 truck stop years ago, such a nice person, beat up old bus and a trailer look at them now.
Joe is such a good host and Charlie a gentleman as well. Entertaining comfortable conversation
+ Atlanta Rhythm Section, maybe not loud rock but arguably one of the best bands to come out of Atlanta. Great video guys thanks for sharing!
This is the best interview I've seen yet Joe. Love Me Some Charlie Starr!!!! If You haven't heard them yet, do Yourself a favor and Buy every piece of music they've got ( You Will Not Be Disappointed). They have given Us music We can really believe in again. Thank You Charlie & The Smoke and keep up the Fantastic Work!!!! Arizona Loves You Guys.......See You Friday Night!!!!
These humble musicians are enjoyable and fascinating to listen to. This is a great series. Joe has created a shard of light from the darkness of covid.
I guess it's easy to be humble when you're as good as these guys.
Two packs a day does a Southern rock Starr good… Entertaining discourse with these two… Nice work guys…
Hell Ya!!!! My fav modern band and Charlie is a great player and person. Humble and cool...gotta to meet him on the 2018 Outlaw Country Cruise. Can’t wait for this 😁😁😁😁😁
Awesome! This interview was priceless. From both of your prospective. God bless you both!
I’ve hung out with Charlie many times . A true gentleman.
Charlie is such a humble Badass man. Love his philosophy seems so laid back and cool
Fantastic interview! Love hearing the background stories 👍
Great interview. I love Blackberry Smoke!
What a great guy and band. It is amazing how great these interviews are. Thank you both so much for taking the time and sharing your lives. GOD bless ya’ll.
Blackberry Smoke did a fine job of picking up where the Black Crowes left off. Great stuff!
GREAT INTERVIEW!
Really Cool, I have seen Blackberry Smoke 3 Times Live! Love Charlie Starr...Joe you are the Bomb!!
Fantastic interview such different backgrounds but on the same page, great interview Joe and Charlie!
This entire series is brilliant and thanks so much to Joe and all the guests.I got to see the Smoke last year and they were incredible. Charlie is a real treasure. I was lucky enough to see the Allman Brothers with Duane once.Simply unforgettable.
FANTASTIC INTERVIEW !!! 👏👏👏👏
Being a fifty three year old southern man and somewhat guitar player. I had often wondered who would fill the shoes of the Allman brothers, Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, just to name a few. Then someone said have you heard of Blackberry Smoke out of Atlanta. Well the shit was on then! Loving y'all up in East TN. Thanks Joe for the shows your doing love your music as well. Wanted to see you in Chattanooga this past year.
I was fortunate enough to see Blackberry Smoke in a little bar here in Albuquerque about five years ago. They are in my opinion the best band going right now. The song writing, the playing, the vocals are simply the best. Thanks Joe for a great interview!
Thanks Joe, hello from Sydney, Oz. Love your solo on BCC 'Sway'. For my 53yo ears, it is one of the best 'rock' solo's I have heard for a long long time. Well done, you deserve every success. See you again in Sydney, hopefully 2021. Stay well & keep rockin.
I could listen to these two for days on end. Lots of history and loads of talent. Great interview!!
Thank you so much for doing this, Joe!!! Love it!
BBS great Southern rock. Enjoyed this interview. 👍✌
These conversation are great! I love Blackberry Smoke and Charlie's playing is so great! And I'm sure you've heard this before Joe, but you should try to bring The Reverend to these! Imagine how much he can share! It'd need to be a 4 hours episode! LOL
Oh man, love these guys sitting down together and talking music! 👌🏼
Really loud was E.L.P. at Masonic Temple in MOTOWN in the early 1970's. Lucky Man knocked the plaster from the ceiling. We were pushed back in our seats by the sound waves. Intense, awesome were the words that day. Still remember that show well. One of the best I ever went to. Another loud ,loud one was Rush in Saginaw,MI in the late 1970's. Great band ,super loud. Joe you are the best, with a great interview style. A fine show,so down home.I love it. Please keep up the good work. Thanks ! P.S. Could you interview Billy Strings at some point. He is a tremendous flat picker.
Great talent!
i like that Charlie mentioned Driving and Crying .MYSTERY ROAD is such an unknown classic.
BBS are masters at what they. Go see em live, youll be smoked. Great buncha guys that have no problem hangin out and talkin to ya.
My youngest will always join in saying "Itty bitty town..." lol
My two favorites musicians!! And btw, great and humble people. Waiting for the thunder then mountain time. 2 of the best songs ever written!!!!!!!
Already liked blackberry smoke and there jams and musicianship, now even more realizing this dude is a nice human being
On the subject of “moving air”, the first time I ever saw a Leslie on a genuine old B3, I was ten feet from it. It was a fairly decent four piece straight-ahead blues band, and the guy had the covers off, and extra mics jammed into the cabinet. I just loved watching it spin up and down and feeling the waves hit me. So cool.
Joe B.....
I can listen to your guitar playing/ singing at the drop of a hat. You are THEEEE biggest inspiration to get better at the guitar!
But,
Now you are becoming the best interviewer! Every time I come across your interviews from Nerdville, an hour passes like nothing.
Thank you! Too many gifts you have.....
Thank you
This is a great hour that went by fast with Charlie and Joe. Really liked this one, hat tip to Charlie and Joe.
Charlie Starr is a great song writer, great player. good stuff
So excited! The two favorite guitar heroes!
BBS is the real deal. Every show I've been to I ended up feeling like I was invited into their home . I always leave feeling like I just witnessed something special. Thanks for your time on the Joe. You too are on my bucket list.
Killer live act saw them in Stockholm 2 Years ago!! Really Fantastic Southern Rock band.
Yes, this interesting Nerdville Epsode by Joe with Charlie Starr, is told so vividly and sympathetically and just very interesting ... I love them all and therefore look at them often ... in a dear hug from afar
Thank you for this interview! Easily one of the best bands (and have been for awhile now) that does not get the attention or credit they deserve. In alot of ways they are like you Joe where it seems you have to work your butt off, despite the tremendous music create, the awesome live shows, but mainstream radio just refuses to recognize or showcase. Thanks for Live from Nerdville! How about Brian Setzer as a guest? 😃
Charlie is a great writer and performer!
Love Blackberry Smoke
So interesting stories again JOE❣️with your friend Charlie🌹Stay safe JOE❣️my Love❤️
Quote of the day "Load bearing flute!"
"I like to be happy". Wise words!
Blackberry Smoke my Lynryd Skynyrd of the 2K era! Awesome group of musicians!
Hi Joe another great interview, I am a very late fan of BBS. Stumbled onto them during Covid lock down here in Victoria Aus. Now cant get enough of them. Charlie comes across as a great bloke, many thanks again . Russ
Im going to have to put A Blackberry Smoke show on my bucket list. Charlie seems like a really down to earth guy...
If you think Blackberry Smoke albums are great.. you have GOT to see them live!! They've blown the roof off every venue I've seen them at. 15+ shows. Best live band out there right now
@@tylernelson1993 Thanks Yeah Im definitely going now
Ya, they are KILLER live, frankly much better than their studio albums. They rock out a lot more live.
@@tylernelson1993 And they always pull out some great cover as well. Love this band!
Blackberry Smoke, last show I went to before lockdown. Fantastic live band 💕
Aloha guys! Sounds so good. I' m going to make a partscaster!
Totally agree: saw BBS on Colbert and "fell in love". It was just a crazy shock to the system. I've got the lyrics signed by all the Blackberry Smoke members. Waiting for the Thunder is so special. Lili

i met Charlie and Brit and Paul when i saw them open for cross Canadian ragweed in a bar that held about 300 maybe 15 years or so ago they were a 4 piece then and 3 of the 4 came to the bar after there set, they are some down to earth cats we started talking about Gram Parsons and history with Brit ya history and i said to Charlie its so nice to see a band do this kinda music theses days i love it, Charlie looks at me and said, what kind is that ? i said southern rock baby, he smiled and shook my hand and Paul smiled real big and said right on man we talked threw about 4 shots they signed my C.D Charlie gave me a pick out of the blue that read cross Canadian rag weed lol by the by i have seen them many times since

Really enjoy these interviews Joe . I had been hearing of Blackberry Smoke for awhile , but one day as I was scrolling through You tube, Blackberry Smoke at Levitate came up .. So, ....Yeah I was hooked ." Ain't much left of me" ,really hit home . Especially as someone trying to age gracefully ,and come to grips with my past ." Bottom of this" is such a great " leave me alone " kind of song .Love it !
I love Blackberry smoke. Charlie is a genius.
Great interview! Charlie and Blackberry Smoke are awesome. I missed them by a hair in Spain in 2017. Hope I get to see them live.
I love these interviews that you are doing Joe and BlackBerry Smoke is one of the bands I need to go see live and buy all of their records. These guys are incredible and Charlie is such a down-to-earth person. I have seen their rig rundown and their gear is really cool. That Les Paul Junior he has is killer and one of the special ones. Great interview, good questions, and two good guys hanging out. Great way to spend an hour.
Great interview. Good to hear different questions for a change.
Great interview! Stay safe guys!
Outstanding interview 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Years ago was watching That Metal Show on VH1 Classic and one of Eddie's buds recommended BBS. After listening to this interview I'm gonna to be on Amazon getting some CDs. Great show as always. Really enjoyed the Eddie Trunk interview awhile back.
Hey Charlie, that’s why Marshall Tucker Band went to Europe once and never went back! Lol
