When I taught music, I told my students that nervousness was okay and should be expected. You only get nervous about things that are important to you.
That's great
I love this “behind the scene” build up to the actual performance.
Who is watching this in september 2019?
It's a beautiful trick after watching it on penn & teller, although it could have been perfect if you pull out one card instead of five. But i like it how you are using this technique to showcase not only your talent, but letting your audience understand magic shows uncertainty because sometimes it doesn't happen the way you expect it. Please come back to penn & teller, i want to see penn kicking a fuss again, take care buddy.
I love that you uploaded this. It helps both you and all of us. You and your wife got to take in the full experience, whereas we only got a glimpse of it. This video helps us get closer to being able to really feel that whole 17-year journey.
I love how active you are on CZcams lately!
It’s happening? Well good thing I’m on the couch, remote in hand, tv in sight, and a nice glass of water. Good luck guys!
The last tip is what I always use whenever it's my turn to do a presentation. Look at everyone, own them and you'll own the stage.
I love these uploads. Good job, can’t wait for the performance!
Good luck Kostya! Your previous performance, is my favourite Fool Us performance ever.
I can't wait for the full video damn kostya kimlat be the wait
Mind Blowing stuff.....your skill is simply amazing, thanks for sharing it with us mortals.
You are very good in building some expectations and hype here just like in the actual show:)
Cant wait to see it
You, sir, are a delight. The first time you fooled Penn and Teller stands out in my mind as one of the greatest card tricks I've ever seen. Blessings to you and your family. :-)
Thank you.
In any kind of performance, its the space between doing or saying things that creates the tension, and makes you more present.
I understand the feeling of that archer poem. I took archery in High School, and I was one of the only people there to only have a base-line competition-legal compound bow. About half way through the year, we were allowed to bring in our personal bows that we would use for hunting and the like. Other students were bringing in bows with higher draw-strength, balances, sights, etc.. while mine was still the competition bow. Now, I tended to botch some shots when we were competing, and I _never_ achieved a perfect 50 point volley. But somehow, at the end of the year, it turned out that my consistent capability won me the top Male archer award.
A good amount of this consistency, I would attribute to my disinterest in "winning" anything. I mean, the last time I'd even _held_ a bow before all this started was at 4H Camp, and I hadn't even managed to get the arrow _to_ the target. My teammates were kids who've spent _years_ hunting, because this is the country, it's what most people do. I had no illusions that I had any skill even comparable to them, but I'd been reading a book series where the main character trains to be an expert archer (The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan) and wanted to actually be a part of something.
By not expecting a particular outcome, but just being in the moment, I was able to achieve something fantastic. In fact, in many other aspects, it seems when I am committed to stopping something (for the day) upon my next failure is when I'm able to relax enough to succeed.
Pure joy watching his composure
after watching the trick then going back to watch this interview... It is even more amazing
Thanks so much.
LOVE YOU MAN!
Good lord, knowing what you are about to do is making me nervous too. lol Can't wait to see the show! Oh and just want to say you guys make a great couple. Congrats. :)
Thank you. :)
“I know there’s a lens there.”
No, Kostya. There is no lens. No camera, or server, or internet. There’s no screen.
You’ve removed all those things. Gone.
There is only you and me.
There is only connection.
Thank you for that.
Thank YOU. That means a lot.
You performance its amazing, I think you are going to fool they again.
Good luck!
Belated Best of Luck!

Hi. Great Trick Kostya and great skill. I hope you come down and perform at the Melbourne Comedy Festival (one of the world's great comedy festivals) sometime.
One thing puzzles me though. You mentioned doing a rehearsal. Wouldn't have a rehearsal spoil the surprise for Penn and Teller or do they not attend at the rehearsal?
peter berrett thanks for asking. They do not attend the rehearsal. There are actors who are stand ins for them and the host too during the rehearsal. The performers don’t see Penn and Teller until we walk out on stage for the live recording.
@@KostyaKimlat Thanks Kostya. one quick followup question. I might have a really good idea for a mentalist trick although I am not a magician. Do you think the producers would be open to an innovative trick but one designed by a non-magician?
I love this guy so much!
I would like to just sit with him for a beer
She's beautiful!
U will do it i know
Did you say that Penn and Teller were at the rehearsal? They watch you do the trick before the taping, and get hours to think about how you do it?
Steven Purtee I said their stand-ins were there.
Part 2 anyone ?
Here you go: czcams.com/video/oFqVm55UBRc/video.html
One thing I wonder: did you get paid for mentioning the Headspace app or is it something you personally like and use? Can't be sure what's advertisement or not these days on youtube...
Not famous enough for product placements. Haha. Just enjoy the app. Thanks for asking.
Does Penn still hate you?
Tim Ho The promo for the show says yes. He said something like if you fool us again I'll slap you. xD
Kostya, answer my email. My mom is friends with your wife! Please!!!!!!!!!
Belated Best of Luck!
