  • The new contender for the best middleweight of all time is about to debut. We discuss what this bike could mean for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati, Ktm, Triumph and Aprilia. The 600 cc inline 4 cylinder has long been the definition of the middle weight super sport class but a new inline triple, a 3 cylinder is about to stir the waters. With the switch from the R6 to the R7, Yamaha has needed something to fill the void between the R1 1000cc liter bike and their other lineup; and the patents are filed, everything is a go, the R9 is set in stone and coming soon. The release date is still unknown but I suspect we will see it debuted at the EICMA in Milan towards the end of 2024. At 890cc's with 117HP and 69ft lbs of torque, this might be the best hooligan sport motorcycle of all time. Yamaha is the most reliable brand of motorcycle in the world now, so we know this will be one of the greatest offerings we've seen yet. Comment with any questions and post your thoughts as well. Don't worry, our 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R isn't going anywhere. We will ride and compare the two, since our deposit is now placed! Enjoy

Whoever idea to stopped making r6 should never touch or work in motorcycles ever again and be fired! They need to bring back the r6 ! There is no confirmation of a r9 no one in corporate said anything just grain of salt. Yah I’m pissed as you can tell they took my favorite bike away !

Dawg. The people saying no more R6s is the EU/EmissionsCommission(s) that put more and more restrictions on motor vehicle makers.
Basically as per usual “there’s a problem with something (mass emissions causing issues), make it the consumer’s problem so we can keep making more money”.
Sure they could completely gut the bike, but Yamaha has dignity about it, it seems.

The Daytona 675 is a sweet track weapon. The triple is by far my favorite for torque and sound. An arrow exhaust on a triple sounds VERY premium. I'm thinking the R9 will be a contender to the Daytona 765. Hopefully the R9 doesn't cap/# it's production like the 765 did.

I have a question for the Dakota, I have an 03 2wd and I want to lift it more than the 3” body lift, is there anything else I can do?

There's far more bikes available to the World than we could even use, even figuring in "Your Niche"..... lmao, all these new funky
bikes/configurations(theme & variations) are marketing fluff. There's only a few basic needs for any bike & then ya add whatever
you need to better suit Your Needs = that's where the Niche comes into play b/c no manufacturer can predict your niche. They'll
be trying but at the end of the day we pick a bike & make it work for us. Too many choices is good for YT Videos but not really
for us riders especially when all of this never gives us lower prices. If they did things to save us money, which they do not, I'd
like all our choices but we got 1 choice.... to pay or not to pay. I'm looking at used! That's my deal at this great stage of moto
history, I've been pushed out of being able to afford one & that's a "NICHE" they ought to be helping us on..... peace
    good video
